For a creative spin on Mother's Day, why not try your hand at working with clay? The Danforth Art Studio is hosting special art classes to mark the holiday where their experts will guide you through creating handmade pieces.

For an instructor-guided pottery workshop, attendees can select from a monthly lineup of six classes. Tickets cost $25 as long as at least two are purchased. If you want take a spin on the clay wheel, the studio offers classes for $44 individually or $32 if you share a wheel with a friend. After finishing your creation, you can paint it for an additional $10/hour or take it home as is.

Toronto's downtown shipping container market is organizing a Vinyl Painting at Sunset workshop on Sunday. The market will have a cosy paint night aimed at celebrating moms and mother figures.
