Jon Moxley vs. Cope Ends In Controversial Fashion At AEW Revolution
Cope challenged Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution. The match featured a ref bump and plenty of interference, as Wheeler Yuta got involved and Jay White attacked him, but White inadvertently hit Cope as well.
Christian Cage threw a wrench in Cope's plans as he broke up the pin following multiple Spears and cashed in his contract for a world title shot. Despite his best efforts to pin Cope, Cage failed to do so, as Moxley choked the leader of The Patriarchy out with the bulldog choke to ensure that he left with the title.
However, Swerve Strickland crashed Jon Moxley's celebration, as he dove off the guardrail and took Moxley down with a Swerve Stomp. Strickland earned a world title shot earlier in the show by defeating Ricochet.
Here's how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play:
Moxley drops him with a piledriver. He locks in a chokehold. Moxley gets in the referee's face. He goes to ringside and gets a chair.
The referee stops him. Cope rolls Moxley up, but the referee is distracted. Moxley shoves Cope into the referee, knocking the official down. Mozley hits the Paradigm Shift. He gets two chairs and goes for a Con-Chair-To, but Cope counters. Wheeler Yuta comes out and hits Cope with a running knee. He gives Moxley his briefcase. Jay White runs in and attacks Yuta. He grabs the briefcase and swings, but Moxley ducks, so he accidentally hits Cope. White and Yuta brawl to the back. Cope fires up with a Spear for a two-count. He hits another Spear and rops Moxley with a third. A hooded man pulls the referee out of the ring and reveals himself to be Christian Cage.
Christian Cage hits Cope with his contract. He cashes in his contract, making this a three-way match. Cage hits a Spear and a Killswitch for a near fall. Moxley chokes Cage out to win.

Maven Says Only One Person In WWE Trusted Triple H
Maven has called out Triple H over his comments in WWE's latest documentary on Netflix. Former WWE superstar Maven Huffman has built a sizeable fanbase, thanks in part to his YouTube hustle. The former Tough Enough winner recently dropped a new video on his channel, in which he reacted to WWE: Unreal. The documentary pulls back the curtain on WWE's creative process with appearances from the likes of Triple H, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Rhea Ripley. At one point during the documentary, Triple H references his old beef with Punk, telling fans the issue between them stemmed from a lack of trust. However, according to Maven, there weren't a lot of names who trusted Triple H during that era—except his best friend, Shawn Michaels. 'No one trusted you, Hunter,' Maven said. 'Not a damn — Shawn trusted you, right? There's your list.' Maven recalls his WWE experience with Triple H and Shawn Michaels 'You're in a WWE locker room, and when you're walking down from catering, and you see Hunter and Vince and Shawn. You see all these guys that you watched on TV, and you see all these guys that you've idolized for years, and all of a sudden, you're not only in the same locker room as them, but hell, I'm on the show with them tonight,' Maven said. He continued, ''Well, I don't want to step on anybody's toes. I'm going to be the good little subordinate wrestler and do what I'm told. Hopefully, if I cross my fingers and I do what's right, then my time will come.' That's how 99.9% of the locker room views it. Punk said that was bullshit, and I'm gonna be as much of a star as you are without your effing help. By God, he went out and did it.' Janel Grant Spokesperson Issues Statement On Brock Lesnar's WWE Return
Brock Lesnar is back on WWE TV. A lawyer for Janel Grant says it's not going to work out like some expect it will. Lesnar made a shocking appearance at WWE SummerSlam on Sunday night, his first appearance on WWE TV in two years. Lesnar's return was something that many speculated would not happen due to being named in Janel Grant's ongoing lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. Lesnar was referenced, but not explicitly named, in the initial lawsuit. There, Grant claimed McMahon used proposing sexual encounters with her to talk Lesnar into signing a new WWE contract. Grant filed a revised complaint in her federal lawsuit in February 2025. The amendment specifically identified Lesnar as an individual whom she claims McMahon offered her to for sexual encounters in 2021. Despite identifying him in the amended complaint, Grant's own admission cleared Lesnar of doing anything illegal; the alleged sexual encounters never happened, and he isn't a defendant in the lawsuit. According to court documents, Lesnar and Grant did communicate with each other and Lesnar did express interest in the arranged encounter. However, a snowstorm reportedly changed his travel plans and prevented the meet-up from taking place. Janel Grant's team reacts to Brock Lesnar's WWE return Now, a spokesperson issued a new statement (via Fansided DDT's Samantha Schipman) about Brock Lesnar's return to TV. The statement says that Grant's team looks forward to the full set of facts, 'including those about Mr. Lesnar,' coming out in court. 'For far too long, abuse was allowed to thrive under WWE's leadership. Instead of righting this wrong, WWE has done nothing to ensure those responsible are held accountable. This attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug will backfire. We look forward to the full set of facts, including those about Mr. Lesnar, coming out in a court of law where they belong, but, in the meantime, we refer you back to Janel Grant's updated complaint, which outlines, in detail, the abuse she endured by McMahon and others while employed at WWE.'
