Dundalk FC boss Ciaran Kilduff making tweaks to deal with troublesome double weekend

Dundalk FC boss Ciarán Kilduff will be hoping it's a case of third time lucky when it comes to his side getting the job done on a double fixture weekend.
Having extended their lead at the top of the table to six points last weekend, Lilywhites travel to face UCD at the UCD Bowl on Friday night (kick-off 7.45pm) before hosting Longford Town at Oriel Park on bank holiday Monday (5pm).

KERRY FC have axed Shane Maroodza just FOUR days after signing him. The First Division club announced his arrival on Friday and he played for 60 minutes in their 3-0 defeat to UCD that night. Advertisement But that turned out to be the Zimbabwe international's last game for the club as well as his first, having previously been with Huddersfield Town and Bradford Park Avenue. Kerry revealed that both he and keeper Mathyas Randriamamy - capped once by Madagascar - had been released. The former PSG trainee was brought in before the start of the season and had made just one substitute appearance before starting the last two games. But in a social media post the club said the pair's exit was because 'Unfortunately, their values and principles didn't match the standards of the club' without providing any more information. Kerry release player four days after transfer over 'values and principles' issue

Kerry FC have released a player just four days after signing him, saying his 'values and principles didn't match the standards of the club.' Colin Healy's side announced the intriguing signing of Shane Maroodza on Friday, and the Zimbabwe international even started in their 3-0 loss to UCD. The 21-year-old looked like a good get for the side, having been a part of Huddersfield's setup and picked in the Zimbabwe squad for their World Cup qualifiers. But in a shock announcement, Maroodza and goalkeeper Mathyas Randriamamy have been released by the club. In a short statement released on Tuesday evening, the club said: "Mathyas Randriamamy and Shane Maroodza have been released from Kerry FC. Unfortunately, their values and principles didn't match the standards of the club." Randriamamy came through the ranks at PSG and featured on their substitutes bench for a number of Champions League games. Kerry currently sit in ninth place of the First Division Table, having slumped in form and lost their last five league games. The club have been busy since the release of players, signing three players on Tuesday evening.
