EE deal splits price of Nintendo Switch 2 to much cheaper £22 price
It's one of the only ways Nintendo Switch 2 fans can split the price of the console
Today's the day the Nintendo Switch 2 console launches in the UK, as retailers including Amazon, Currys, Very and EE refresh their stock for gamers who missed out in last month's pre-sale. Amid the flurry of deals we've found a way for shoppers to split the price, down to only £22 per month.
EE is offering the Nintendo Switch 2 on a monthly cost-splitting plan, a stark contrast from its £429.99 bundle upfront cost, shoppers will be able to get it for £22 per month instead. And unlike forking out hundreds upfront today, it only comes with an upfront cost of £20.
The option is only available to split on the Switch 2 Mario Kart: World bundle, not the console by itself. All in shoppers will pay £20 when they buy the bundle upfront and lock in to 24 monthly payments of £22 for the plan, coming to £548 together.
There's no secret that it comes to more than the likes of Currys, ShopTo and Amazon upfront prices, however it's an option for those who don't want to fork out the full price all at once. Another key thing shoppers need to know is that the plan is fixed, there's no wiggle room (without a fee) if left before the term ends.
Split the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 at EE - here
In terms of delivery EE says the console will take '1-3 working days' to arrive from the date of order, however shoppers are being urged to go fast as some consoles are already out of stock. The Mario Kart: World and console bundle is still available but 'selling fast'. However, EE's Switch 2 console has sold out.
Nintendo Switch 2 stock updates
From 6am today Nintendo's own store has been showing as out of stock for the console and now Very has joined suit. The consoles are certainly in demand and multiple sites have the live banner which says 'selling fast'.
Retailer ShopTo is offering the Console and Mario Kart: World bundle too and shows the sheer demand on its site. As '2045 people are seeing this product' on their website.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is in high demand thanks to its bigger screen, boosted performance and speed offering gamers a better user experience than the previous console. A welcome new feature is its Joy-Con controllers, arguably very distinctive to Switch models - these now come with built-in magnets to make them easier to remove.
However compared to the previous £259.99 Switch 1 the newer Switch 2 does have a downside...its price. Shoppers are now paying £395.99 for the console, a huge price jump for the added features, not to mention the updated games come with an extra cost too.

Review: 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni has eyes everywhere
Review: 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni has eyes everywhere Camera can monitor all angles, capturing incidents from the sides or rear 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni The dashcam market is a pretty crowded one so it takes something innovative and special to stand out. And the 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni certainy does that - mostly for the good, a little for the bad. An upgraded version of 70mai's unique 360deg dashcam., the 4k Omni's video quality has been upped thanks to a new Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 sensor, which gives crisp 4K footage at up to 60fps and clear views in all lighting conditions. The dual-channel setup includes a rear camera capturing 1080p video at 30fps, providing comprehensive coverage of your car's surroundings. So far, so good, but what really sets it apart is the 360degs bit. This means the camera can monitor all angles, so very useful for capturing incidents from the sides or rear, areas often missed by traditional dashcams. The AI Motion Detection 2.0 system makes the most of this ability by automatically tracking and recording movement around the vehicle. Due to its all-round feature the main unit does look a little unusual as it hangs down from your windscreen. If you're in a large car it's not an issue but the bulbous body can look a little incongruous in a smaller one. Installation is pretty straightforward, although I'm not brave enough to push the cables into the panels. I've always wanted a dashcam professionaly fitted but have found that most installers will only install dashcams you have purchased from them, which is rather annoying. The rear camera is far smaller as you would expect and a more standard design. Finding the perfect spot can be tricky, but this is no different to any other dashcam. The rest of the setup is via the 70mai app, where you can access and manage recordings, plus view live footage and download videos from your phone via wifi. I'd describe the app as 'good enough' with scope for improvement. Some users have complained about a flaky connection, but I didn't run into any troubles on that front. 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni Once on the road, everything ran smoothly. I found the 360deg coverage genuinely reassuring, while 70mai's Night Owl Vision did make a big difference after the sun goes down (especially when it came to reducing glare from oncoming vehicles). Another plus is the 4K Omni can offer 24-hour smart parking surveillance, app alerts, a 'find my car' feature, and real-time tracking, if paired with a 4G kit. What you do get as standard is a 128GB SD card for video storage, plenty for endless recording, and a voice control feature with commands such as 'take a photo', as well as lane departure warnings and collision detection alerts. The standard 4k Omni is available for £299.99 via Amazon with the hardwire 4G kit an optional extra. What users say "Been using this dash cam for a couple of weeks now and really rate it. The 360° rotating lens is proper useful – covers the front, sides, and even inside the car if needed. The 4K front and 1080p rear footage is sharp, even at night. Number plates are clear and there's no weird glare from headlights." "I fitted this kit with 4G hardwire kit and I need to say, that it is great! Night video or picture quality is great! You can check your car remotely inside and outside thanks to 360 head - great ides btw. Really good piece of kit!" Alternatives Article continues below HUPEJOS 360° 4K Dash Cam BOTSLAB 4K Dash

Nintendo Switch 2 Durability: Will Your New Console Last?
The Nintendo Switch 2 represents a significant step forward in gaming technology, combining enhanced performance with thoughtful design improvements. While the console impresses with its structural durability and innovative features, certain aspects, such as the plastic screen and absence of water resistance, may raise questions about its long-term resilience. The video below from JerryRigEverything explores the durability, design, and performance of the Nintendo Switch 2, highlighting its strengths and areas that could benefit from further refinement. Performance Upgrades: A Leap Forward The Nintendo Switch 2 delivers a substantial improvement in performance, offering a tenfold boost in graphical capabilities compared to the original model. At the heart of this upgrade is a 7.9-inch 120Hz 1080p HDR LCD display, which doubles the pixel density of its predecessor. This results in sharper visuals, richer colors, and smoother gameplay, making sure an immersive experience whether you're gaming in handheld mode or docked. The console's ability to seamlessly transition between handheld and docked modes enhances its versatility, making it a standout choice for gamers who value flexibility. The upgraded hardware ensures that even graphically demanding games run smoothly, providing a gaming experience that feels modern and polished. Design Innovations: Magnetic Attachments and Enhanced Stability One of the most notable design changes in the Nintendo Switch 2 is its redesigned Joy-Con attachment system. Moving away from the mechanical rails of the original model, the new system uses steel components and magnets to create a secure yet easily detachable connection. This design not only improves durability but also allows the Joy-Cons to attach in multiple orientations, including upside down, offering greater flexibility during gameplay. The console also features a sturdier metal kickstand, which significantly enhances stability during tabletop use. This improvement addresses a common complaint about the original Switch, where the flimsy kickstand often led to accidental collapses. These thoughtful design updates improve both the functionality and convenience of the console, making it more user-friendly and reliable. Durability: Strengths and Weak Points The Nintendo Switch 2 demonstrates impressive structural durability, withstanding significant stress without compromising its functionality. The Joy-Cons are engineered to detach safely under force, reducing the risk of internal damage during accidental drops or impacts. This feature ensures that the console remains intact even under challenging conditions. However, the plastic screen is a notable vulnerability. It is highly prone to scratches, which could detract from the overall gaming experience over time. To mitigate this, using a glass screen protector is strongly recommended. Another area of concern is the console's lack of water resistance. While this does not affect everyday use, it does require users to exercise caution around liquids, as exposure could lead to irreversible damage. These factors highlight the importance of taking protective measures, such as investing in a screen protector and a durable carrying case, to ensure the console's longevity. Build Materials: Balancing Durability and Cost The materials used in the Nintendo Switch 2 reflect a careful balance between durability and cost efficiency. The plastic screen includes a permanent protective layer designed to minimize minor damage, while the buttons and joystick caps feature inlaid lettering to ensure long-term legibility. These design choices enhance the console's usability without significantly increasing production costs. Metal components, such as the kickstand and Joy-Con triggers, add to the console's robustness, making sure it can withstand regular use. These durable materials contribute to the overall structural integrity of the device, making it a reliable option for both casual and dedicated gamers. Additional Features: Enhancing the Experience The Nintendo Switch 2 introduces several features aimed at improving the overall gaming experience. These include: Dual stereo speakers with protective wire mesh, delivering clear and durable audio output. with protective wire mesh, delivering clear and durable audio output. Game cartridges coated with a bitter substance to discourage ingestion by children, enhancing safety. coated with a bitter substance to discourage ingestion by children, enhancing safety. A docking station that supports 4K output, providing a significant visual upgrade for TV gaming. that supports 4K output, providing a significant visual upgrade for TV gaming. LED integration in the Joy-Con grip, offering visual feedback during gameplay for added immersion. While these features enhance the console's appeal, some game cartridges may only include download keys instead of full games. This could disappoint collectors who prefer physical copies. Despite this minor drawback, the additional features significantly improve the overall value of the console, making it a compelling choice for gamers. Concerns and Positives: A Balanced Perspective The Nintendo Switch 2 excels in many areas but is not without its shortcomings. The plastic screen and logo are particularly prone to cosmetic damage, making them vulnerable to scratches and wear over time. Additionally, transporting the Joy-Cons without proper protection could lead to joystick damage, especially during frequent travel. On the positive side, the console and Joy-Cons demonstrate exceptional structural integrity, remaining intact even under significant stress. The improved docking station and LED-integrated Joy-Con grip further enhance the gaming experience, offering features that cater to both casual and serious gamers. These strengths make the Nintendo Switch 2 a well-rounded and versatile gaming console. A Durable Yet Fragile Companion The Nintendo Switch 2 strikes a commendable balance between durability and functionality, offering substantial improvements over its predecessor. While its cosmetic fragility and lack of water resistance require users to take extra precautions, these concerns can be mitigated with proper care and protective accessories. By addressing these vulnerabilities, the Nintendo Switch 2 can serve as a reliable and enjoyable gaming companion for years to come. Amazon's bestselling strimmer hits sale for less than £30
Time to get those gardens ship shape It's officially summer, and it's the time of year again when gardens need a bit of a freshen-up. Perhaps it's time to cut the grass for a garden party, strim off some overgrown weeds, or tackle any mess in outdoor spaces just in time for BBQ season. Long gone are the days of dragging a corded strimmer around and being limited to how far the equipment can be used. Cordless strimmers are on the rise as more people want tidying their gardens to be an enjoyable, easy experience rather than a heavy-duty chore. Now, shoppers can grab the 21V Cordless Strimmer, Telescopic Lightweight Grass Trimmer from Amazon for £29.72, down from £37.82. This electric strimmer has two six-inch metal circular blades that can cut branches and hard brushes, while ten other six-inch metal blades can cut weed piles and thicker grass areas. It is also equipped with an adjustable telescopic rod that can be adjusted between 33 and 47.2 inches to the appropriate length according to different environments. The lightweight 2.5kg strimmer also has an adjustable cutting head for different angles of use, and anti-collision iron bars to ensure shoppers don't worry about the strimmer getting damaged if it touches anything hard or concrete. The strimmer is equipped with an upgraded 1500mAh lithium battery, which can be used for one hour, meaning shoppers can hopefully get everything done in one go. It comes with a number of additional accessories including two lithium batteries, one quick charger, one wrench, one set of gloves, goggles and a handle, one grass guard, one pressure plate screw, a retractable tube interface and one gasket. If this strimmer isn't for everyone, there are a number of alternatives to choose from, such as the VonHaus 1000W 2 in 1 Grass Trimmer & Brush Cutter for £84.99 from Debenhams, which is said to be ideal for neatening edges around lawns, fences, decking and more. It's not cordless but has a long 10m cable for easy movement around the garden. Another option is the Bosch EasyGrassCut 26 280W Corded Grass trimmer for £35 from B&Q which is lightweight, powerful, strong and durable for lasting results. The Amazon strimmer has been rated 4.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon, however. One person said: 'Actually really good, very surprised by the quality and the lightness of it. Spare blades, easy to put together. Great value and excellent quality.' Another wrote: 'Excellent product. Easy assembly.' 'This strimmer is brilliant. I watched the video which was very easy to assemble. There are lots of different blades which made it easy for me to cut back tress scrubs and remove weeds and dandelions from my lawn. If I can do it, anyone can use this strimmer. It's not heavy. I am a pensioner and I did not struggle with it. I don't need a gardener anymore, very pleased and impressed with my purchase,' said another. Some left opposing reviews on the product, as one person said: 'Okay for the amount.' Another said: 'Excellent at the price for light use - but use with care.' For an affordable strimmer, the could be an ideal, quality buy.
