Why Fans Think Taylor Swift Is Dropping Major News About TS12 on the 13th
Rumors first started swirling on August 11, when Taylor Nation dropped a 12-photo carousel on Instagram showing off an array of orange Eras Tour looks. 'Thinking about when she said 'See you next era…'' the caption read, echoing the pop star's final words from the tour.
12 minutes earlier (per Taylor Swift Updates on X), the New Heights Instagram account shared a post teasing a ~very special guest~ for this Wednesday's episode, and fans were quick to notice the sparkly orange background (as well as the fact that Jason Kelce is wearing what appears to be an Eras Tour shirt).
'92%ers, we're coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest,' reads the caption.

TS12 would mark Taylor's first release since she dropped The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024, and fans think this orange-hued era will be all about her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. For that reason, an announcement on his podcast (on the 13th, no less!!) would be very fitting.
Let's not forget that Travis has been dropping hints about TS12 for months now. During a January 13 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, he even let it slip that he'd already heard Taylor's new music.
Also! Back in December, Us Weekly reported that Tay was considering getting to 'work on a new album' and was talking 'about hitting the road again—albeit on a smaller scale than the Eras Tour—in 2026.'
As the insider claimed, 'She had such a great experience on Eras. She really wants to do it again. She loves being with all her fans—it inspires her. Things can change. A lot of it hinges on what happens over the next year with Travis. She's told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.'
It's unclear when TS12 will be released, but I do know that I'll be tuning into this Wednesday's New Heights episode to get more details!!

Taylor Swift And Blake Lively Reportedly Aren't Speaking
It sure seems like the fallout from Taylor Swift being subpoenaed in Blake Lively's lawsuit against Justin Baldoni is continuing. You might remember that, back in May of this year, reports emerged that Taylor and Blake's famous friendship — the former literally named a song after one of Blake's children, for Christ's sake — had "halted" after Taylor had become temporarily involved, seemingly against her will, in Blake's legal battle against Justin. "Taylor wants no part in this drama," a source told People at the time, while another source added that the pair "taking some space" from each other for the time being — but, also, that they're "not no longer friends," which is a fairly important distinction to make. Of course, you're also probably aware that Taylor's upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl features a song called "Ruin the Friendship," which people are already speculating is about a presumed falling-out with Blake. And while there's no official confirmation that the song is concerning itself with that topic, a new report from People suggests that Blake and Taylor's friendship is still not going very well at the moment. "Taylor and Blake aren't speaking," the source tells the publication. Yikes! These reports usually come with a bit more to them, but that's pretty much it for the moment, which We've reached out to Blake and Taylor's reps for comment, and we'll let you know if we hear back.

TOPS OF THE WORLD: The most viral stories of the week
From local and provincial news, Canadian politics, the latest in sports, outrageous entertainment offerings, the Toronto Sun always has you covered. There are stories, however, that are more newsworthy to the masses than others. If you want to keep up with those at the watercooler or on social media, read on to see what stories everyone was talking about this past week: TIFF reverses decision on Oct. 7 doc after backlash Joe Warmington pointed out the 'absurd and insulting censorship' of the documentary The Road Between Us at the Toronto International Film Festival after it was pulled from the schedule because the filmmakers used footage filmed by Hamas but — wait for it — didn't obtain the rights from the terrorist group for the clips. Well, the backlash came fast and furiously, and the film about the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel will be gracing festival screens after all — but only after the pulling of acclaimed director Barry Avrich's film made international headlines, including the front page of the New York Post and being discussed on Fox News. 'It was never my intention to offend or alienate anyone,' TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey wrote in a statement. 'Given the sensitive and significant nature of the film's subject, I believe that it tells an important story and contributes to the rich tapestry of perspectives in our lineup — stories that resonate here at home and around the world.' Taylor Swift announced new album on Kelce brothers' podcast Taylor Swift was the special guest on boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast on Aug. 13 — after confirming on social media that she was in her showgirl era. The superstar made the big announcement of The Life of a Showgirl, her 12th studio album at exactly 12:12 a.m. on Aug. 12 but for all the details, Swifties and fans alike would have to tune in to the podcast. Crafty buggers. It's her first new record since her epic Eras Tour ended last December, and Swift has shared stunning images from the album on her socials, admitting the Kelces, 'We're going all out. This is a full send. I care about this record more than I can even overstate.' The Life of a Showgirl debuts Oct. 3 (but you can already get it in presales, if you follow Swift on social media). Air Canada's work stoppage More than 10,000 Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flight attendants walked off the job as of 1 a.m. ET Saturday, which was followed by a company-imposed lockout after the airline and the workers' union were unable to reach a deal. Flights have already been cancelled in anticipation of the work stoppage with a full stoppage now in effect. Air Canada said it would notify customers of cancellations through email and text message, adding it recommends against going to the airport unless they have a confirmed booking and their flight still shows as operating. RECOMMENDED VIDEO Buck Martinez's return to broadcast booth The Blue Jays are tops in the American League East and, as of press time, leading the AL. And with Buck Martinez back on the Sportsnet broadcast, they are the hottest ticket in town. A lot has happened in the last two-plus months that he was MIA, with the Jays being far from the team they were on May 28, when Martinez was last in the booth. But that journey pales in comparison to what Martinez has endured in that time after a diagnosis of lung cancer sidelined him. He's back now, and that voice is as comforting as ever alongside his long-time play-by-play partner, Dan Shulman. There's nothing like listening to Martinez talk baseball with such passion, and he had plenty of words of admiration for the Blue Jays and what manager John Schneider has done for the team. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the previously planned one-on-one meeting between Trump and Putin is now a three-on-three meeting — but no, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was not in attendance of discussions he should totally be a part of, nor were any other European leaders invited to join in. Rather, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff made up Team U.S., while Putin had Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov by his side. 'HIGH STAKES!!!' Trump posted shortly on his Truth Social account before he boarded Air Force One for Alaska. No kidding.

Justin Timberlake Shocks Fans With Lyme Disease Revelation After Tour Finale
After wrapping his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which began on July 31, Justin Timberlake left fans stunned with a heartfelt Instagram confession. The pop icon revealed he was privately battling Lyme disease during the entire trek, pushing through relentless pain and fatigue. Following the revelation, several fans took to the post's comment section to express their love for the singer. Justin Timberlake Opens Up About His Struggles Timberlake began his message with raw honesty, writing, 'Well, as these two incredible years come to an end and I look forward to the future, I wanted to write something from the heart. It's not an easy task to try to contextualize the whirlwind of touring — but, I will try…' He reflected on the highs and lows of the road, calling the experience, 'the most fun. Emotional. Gratifying. Physically demanding, and, at times, grueling experience.' Timberlake added, "I have been doing this for 30+ years (which feels crazy to say) –– and have given all that I have to this. I could not have done it without my family, friends, The TN Kids, and all of YOUR support." Battling Lyme Disease In Silence Timberlake reminded his fans of his private nature, noting, "As many of you know, I'm a pretty private person. But as I'm reflecting on the tour and festival tour – I want to tell you a little bit about what's going on with me." The singer revealed what had been hidden behind the spotlight, noting, 'Among other things, I've been battling some health issues. And was diagnosed with Lyme disease.' He continued, 'I don't say so you feel bad for me — but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes. If you've experienced this disease or know someone who has then you're aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.' Despite nerve pain, exhaustion, and sickness, Timberlake chose resilience. He wrote, "When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. I was faced with a personal decision." Timberlake added, 'Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I'm so glad I kept going.' Justin Timberlake Thanks Fans And Crew Timberlake credited fans and his touring family for carrying him through. He shared, 'To everyone of you who came to see me on The Forget Tomorrow Tour or JT Live '25 (or any other tour or show throughout the years for that matter)… your energy and love continues to humble me. Your signs, messages, and DIY t-shirts have made me laugh and smile so many times… You have made my dreams come true.' He praised his team, saying, 'Tour life really is like nothing else. It takes a special type of person to be able to do it — much less do it well. You all have been such a beautiful family away from home for me.' The 44-year-old continued, "I will always treasure our time these last couple of years together. I can't wait to see what everyone gets up to next. I know it will be exciting!" He added, "There really is no way to put into words the feeling of being on a stage and getting to share the experience of live music with all of you. It's a vibration of frequency that is unmatched. Sacred to me." Timberlake Uncertain About His Future Justin Timberlake admitted uncertainty about his performing future, noting, 'I honestly don't know what my future is onstage but I'll always cherish this run! It's been the stuff of LEGEND for me.' He added, "If you've made it this far in this caption, you deserve a medal. My heart is filled with gratitude! Love each other. Be good to each other. Don't take it for granted." Timberlake closed with love for his family, writing, 'To Jess, Silas, and Phin... Nothing is more powerful than your unconditional love. You are my heart and my home. I'm on my way…' Justin Timberlake's Fans Flood Him With Supportive Messages Following the post, several fans took to the comment section to show their love and support for Timberlake. One fan wrote, "Being able to perform at this level for this long is nothing short of extraordinary! You truly are an inspiration! No one can perform the way you, all of us fans love and will continue to support you for years and years to come!" Another fan commented, "Justin, you didn't need to share this, but so glad you did. You didn't need to go on with the tour, but so glad you did. Take care of yourself and don't be a stranger!" A third fan noted, "Thank you for being open and thank you for pushing through to continue performing! I saw you 3x this tour and each time was phenomenal! I wish I could've seen more shows! We all love you and thank you for giving us all you do!" According to Mayo Clinic, Lyme disease is an infection caused by Borrelia bacteria, most often spread through the bite of an infected tick. While ticks that carry the bacteria are found across the United States, Lyme disease is most common in the upper Midwest, Northeast, and mid-Atlantic regions. People who spend time in grassy, brushy, or wooded environments are at greater risk. Simple precautions, such as using repellents, wearing protective clothing, and checking for ticks after outdoor activities, can help reduce the chances of infection and protect against the disease.
