Fans take selfies with 'Tom Cruise' as he eats cocktail sausages in London park - only for it to be his movie stand-in
Visitors to Victoria Embankment Gardens, Central London, couldn't resist snapping photos when they thought they'd spotted the Hollywood star yesterday morning [May 15]. The star was also 'seen' popping into a nearby Tesco on Strand Road to grab protein-packed Quorn Veggie Cocktail Sausages to power him through tonight's premiere of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
One onlooker was overheard saying: "I can't believe it, I'm such a big fan! I only popped out for some lunch and never expected to see Tom Cruise chilling in the park eating cocktail sausages!" The hunky star was actually Seán George, actor and Tom Cruise lookalike, who has worked with the heartthrob on three movies as a 'stand in'.
Fans were quick to jump on social media, with one sharing a sneaky snap saying 'Ethan Hunt just casually chilling in the park %23missionimpossible'. However it's since been revealed that 'Tom' was actually part of a PR stunt from leading meat-free brand, Quorn, to celebrate the return of their Mission Snack Swap campaign.
Quorn's 'Mission Snack Swap' is back on TV screens from 24 May, which sees a cheeky trio of puppets take on their own mission. Perry Pig, Clarence Cow and Chickson Chicken are on a 'mission' to sneakily swap out meat-based snacks for tasty, protein packed Quorn Cocktail Sausages and Quorn Picinic Eggs.

One of their number has a crutch and watched the show from the wheelchair they've managed to get into the packed carriage. The father asks me which stop is Ingliston. I tell him it's the one before the airport and that I can alert them when I'm getting off. "Thanks son," he says. "They'll no believe me, you see, I can never be right." The mum-of-five said she was banned from her daughter's 18th birthday party and that her former management team – who look after Mysterious Girl singer Peter, 52, and Princess – did not want her on the show as they considered her 'trash'. Speaking on her podcast, Katie claimed: 'Princess was like 'I'm having a party'. And I wasn't invited because it was for 'filming'.' "But I don't feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish, like, I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of like, I had so many things on my plate at a young age." The first episode also saw Princess exploring ideas for her makeup business as she attempted to build a brand of her own.
