UP govt teacher suspended after viral video shows her oiling hair, playing old Bollywood song in class: WATCH
The incident took place at Mundakheda Primary School in Khurja block, according to an India Today report. The now-viral video, recorded on July 19 during regular school hours, shows the teacher casually seated on a chair, applying oil to her hair while the song Bada Natkhat Hai Yeh from the film Amar Prem plays in the background.
Meanwhile, students can be seen sitting quietly, watching her instead of participating in any academic activity.
As reported by India Today, district Basic Education Officer Laxmikant Pandey confirmed that the teacher has been suspended with immediate effect. 'An order has been issued, and the incident is under investigation,' Pandey told the outlet.

The clip quickly spread across social media, with users criticising not just the teacher but also the state of public education in Uttar Pradesh. One user commented, 'She should be suspended immediately and she can do whatever she wants to do at home.'
Another viewer shared a more sarcastic take, saying, 'Lmao ye to sirf tel maalish kar rahi thi. Hamare yaha government schools mai to teachers dhaniya palak lasan chil rahi hoti hai saara din and sir log chai sutta. (Lmao, she was just oiling her hair. In our government schools, teachers spend the day peeling coriander, spinach, and garlic while the male staff sip tea and smoke.)'
Someone else pointed out the larger issue, writing, 'This is the sad reality of our government schools. While children deserve attention and good education, the teacher is busy doing oil massage and enjoying music in class. Who will take responsibility for this carelessness?'
Another frustrated user quipped, 'Bacchon ki neend isliye kharaab kiye hein.. taki madam ko baal mein tel lagate dekhein. The Indian Education system is the worst. Games period hi kar deti… Bahut kuch seekh hi lete khelte khelte.' (The kids' nap was disturbed just so they could watch madam oil her hair. The Indian education system is the worst. She could've at least declared it games period, they would've learned more while playing.)

Priyanka Chopra Recalls 'Ram Leela' Song, Says Bhansali's Offer Was ‘Complicated'
Priyanka Chopra reveals why doing Ram Chahe Leela in Ram Leela was a 'complicated decision' and how Sanjay Leela Bhansali still remains a dear friend. Priyanka Chopra is taking fans down memory lane as she revisits her electrifying performance in Ram Chahe Leela from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013). Sharing a clip from the iconic dance number on Instagram, Priyanka confessed that doing the song wasn't an easy decision. 'When Sanjay Sir came to me with this song, it was a complicated decision, but him as a filmmaker has always inspired me," Priyanka wrote. 'His creative mind, his nostalgic stories usually over incredible food, the conversations of art and music to dance… the beauty of the yesteryears but also what the future holds. And then he played the song.. and I knew I was her." She went on to credit the team behind the shoot. 'Under Sanjay sir's guidance, Ravi Varman's cinematography shone, and Vishnu Deva was magic! Him and I would rehearse during lunch breaks every day to perfect the dance sequences. This brings back such great memories," she added. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Priyanka (@priyankachopra) In a past interview with Lehren Retro, Priyanka's mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, had also revealed why her daughter was only seen in the special song and not the lead role, which ultimately went to Deepika Padukone. 'She went to his office… When she came back, she said, 'I am only doing a song in Ram Leela.' I asked her what happened. She said, 'I think that's better.' They might have had some lovely discussions that she agreed for something like this because they are still friends," Dr Chopra had shared. Dr Chopra also reflected on how demanding it was for Priyanka to play Kashibai in Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani. 'Kashibai was very hard because it was all about the expressions… Sanjay Bhansali is not an easy director. To keep him pleased with the performance was the target," she added. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await Priyanka's return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli's next directorial, tentatively titled SSMB29, co-starring Mahesh Babu. The collaboration has already generated significant buzz and marks her full-fledged comeback in a homegrown production. State brings migrant's body from Kuwait
Ranchi: The body of a migrant worker from Hazaribag, who died after suffering a cardiac arrest in Kuwait on June 15, arrived at his home on Thursday after the state govt's intervention, an IPRD statement said. Rameshwar Mahto, a resident of Bandkharo village in Vishnugarh block of Hazaribag, was working with M/s IMCO Engineering & Construction Company, Kuwait, for the past 12 years. Mahto's wife, Pramila Devi, on June 19 appealed to the state to bring her husband's body back home. The state migrant control room co-ordinated with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait and the protector of emigrants, statement said. "The family had refused to accept the body without receiving the final payment from the company, leading to the delays. The Hazaribag DC obtained the family's consent and sent a formal request to the Indian Embassy in Kuwait on July 27. The body was brought to Jharkhand on Thursday, when Kishore Mahto, the son of the deceased, and the Vishnugar block development officer received it," it said.
