Actor Tom Cruise is celebrating 35 years of his popular racing film 'Days of Thunder' and also showed support for Brad Pitt's latest racing movie 'F1'. On Saturday, Day 2, the film's early estimates showed a noticeable jump, landing at around Rs 8.5 crore, taking the total to Rs 14 crore net. The film performed the best in metro cities, including Chennai, which topped the list with over 62% occupancy, Hyderabad with 54%, and Bengaluru at 48%. On the other hand, the Hindi version had a lukewarm response at around 10.6%, while Tamil regions saw moderate interest at around 19%. Now, when you add the U.S. numbers, the film is racing towards a $140 million-plus (Rs 1,169 crore+) global weekend. It has already become one of the highest-grossing Apple Original Films.
