Raskin told Rangers TV: "I thought it was a goal, to be honest.
"Then I was doubting, but then I went to see the images at half-time and I was like 'Wow, it's clearly a goal.'"
Rangers immediately responded to the incident after the match, questioning the effectiveness of VAR and calling for the introduction of goal-line technology in Scottish football.
A spokesperson said: "Our supporters, players and staff deserve better.
"We will raise this with the Scottish FA and continue to press for initiatives which improve the accuracy of decision-making."
Raskin, however, was not deterred by the decision and scored in the second half, marking his third goal in his last five appearances.
He said: "I'm just happy to score goals and add some decisive action to my game.
"It's been a good spell for me the last couple of games, so I just enjoy."
He also shared his surprise at his recent success with headers, given his height.
He said: "Because I'm one of the smallest, the other boys aren't expecting me to go, or maybe they think I'm not good enough.
"The deliveries have been so good from Tav [James Tavernier] and Vash [Vaclav Cerny], so it's just a tap-in."

Hibs duo help Socceroos to World Cup qualification

Hibs duo Martin Boyle and Lewis Miller both started for the Socceroos yesterday in their 2-1 victory over Asian powerhouse Saudi Arabia in front of 24,620 spectators at the King Abdullah Sports Complex in Jeddah. The victory ensures qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Abdulrahman Al-Aboud opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Connor Metcalfe's first goal for his country on the stroke of half-time restored parity. Three minutes after the restart Boyle sent a tremendous free-kick into the danger area and Mitch Duke headed the ball into the net. Saudi Arabia's Ali Majrashi was then shown a red card for bringing down Boyle as the last defender but after a lengthy VAR check the red card was overturned and Saudi Arabia was allowed to continue with 11 men. Saudi passed up the chance to equalise with an 82nd minute penalty but Matt Ryan, winning his 100th cap saved Salem Al-Dawsari's effort. Like this: Like Related

Hamza Igamane sparks Rangers transfer battle as EPL and French clubs line up bids as stellar price tag set

The Moroccan frontman only joined Gers for £1.7million last summer Rangers striker Hamza Igamane is reportedly the subject of interest from clubs in the Premier League and Ligue 1. The Morocco international enjoyed a productive first season at Ibrox following his £1.7milion move from FAR Rabat last summer, notching 16 times in 46 matches in all competitions. ‌ Those displays have helped the 22-year-old make the breakthrough at international level, with Igamane making his senior bow for Morocco in a World Cup qualifying victory against Niger back in March. ‌ But reports out of France claim that new Gers boss Russell Martin will have a fight on their hands to keep a hold of the frontman ahead of the new season. Foot Mercato state that Igamane is a target for seven clubs from the top tiers in England and France. They claim that Everton, West Ham and Brentford have been joined by Lens, Lille, Rennes and Strasbourg in the race to land the Ibrox ace. Lille are in the market for a new attacker following talisman Jonathan David's pending exit on a free transfer while Rennes may look for a replacement for Celtic hero Kyogo Furuhashi, who is said to be surplus to requirements after just six months with the Ligue 1 club. However, they add that Rangers are under no pressure to sell the forward and that an asking price of €15million (£12.7million) will have to be met to take Igamane away from Govan. ‌ Fellow Ibrox frontman Cyriel Dessers has also been linked with an exit this summer, with Greek outfit AEK keen on the Nigeria international. But Record Sport has learned that Rangers won't be willing to listen to any offers of less than £5million for the 30-year-old. Martin and sporting director Kevin Thelwell's transfer coffers are set to be given a boost after new Ibrox owners 49ers Enteprises pledged to pump £20million into the recruitment drive. ‌ We have also has revealed that talks over potential deals for Leicester City defender Conor Coady and Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Dor Turgeman are ongoing. At this stage, PGMOL bosses have decided not to adopt the same changes SIDE OPTION Fifa to introduce major change to offside decisions at Club World Cup to avoid repeat of Taiwo Awoniyi injury horror CHELSEA and Manchester City players will avoid the risk of extra injuries from late-raised offside flags at the Club World Cup. Fifa chiefs have now confirmed a new computer-led system will be used for the first time when the expanded 32-club tournament kicks off in Miami in the early hours of Sunday morning. 2 Fifa are set to introduce some major offside changes ahead of the Club World Cup 2 Fifa's decision comes after Nottingham Forest ace Taiwo Awoniyi's horror injury And with the flag being raised if an attacker is just four INCHES offside, it will mean there SHOULD be no repeat of the offside guidelines that led to the horror injury sustained by Nottingham Forest's Taiwo Awoniyi last month. Nigerian Awoniyi was placed in an induced coma in hospital following urgent abdominal surgery after colliding with a post in the 2-2 draw with Leicester when assistant referee Sian Massey-Ellis kept the flag down against Anthony Elanga. Massey-Ellis was following International FA Board protocols brought in since the introduction of VAR on 'tight' offsides, designed to prevent legitimate goalscoring chances being wiped out by premature whistles. But the Fifa version of the semi-automated offside technology, being introduced at this summer's 32-team tournament in the USA, will see the latest version of tracking cameras utilised. WATCH EVERY MATCH OF THE CLUB WORLD CUP 2025 LIVE ON DAZN That will see assistants automatically informed if an attacking player breaking the line and touching the ball is more than 10cm offside, allowing the flag to be raised earlier. Each stadium will have 16 dedicated tracking cameras, linked to AI technology and algorithms, in addition to the sensor in the middle of the ball that was introduced at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Fifa ref's chief Pierluigi Collina said: 'The audio message, which will be 'offside, offside', will only go to the assistant referee when the player the algorithm has detected in an offside position touches the ball. 'Until they touch the ball, even if they are in an offside position, that message will not be sent. 'The assistants have been doing what we told them to do but it is clear that what is viewed as 'close' has become bigger and bigger and bigger. Dazn unveil brilliant Club World Cup promo video with legendary boxing announcer drafted in to ring bell on tournament 'At the same time, we want the assistants to be a bit braver and more courageous in these situations. If a player is 2m offside, that cannot be a tight decision.' At this stage, PGMOL bosses have not planned to follow suit with the Fifa-style system next term, relying on the current guidelines once again. But if the Club World Cup approach is deemed a success, the pressure for Prem bosses to order a change of tack will grow, especially if late flags bring any more injuries next season. Fifa will also unveil the new Laws of the Game, including the 'five second countdown' signal leading to a corner if a goalkeeper holds onto the ball for more than eight seconds. Refs in the tournament will also be equipped with 'Ref Cams', attached to their ear pieces at eye level, giving TV and stadium viewers access to new angles of the play. The only live shots will be at the toss before the game but referee's views of key moments, including goals, will be shown on TV and stadium giant screens, and also available for officials to rule on VAR decision changes.
