Jennifer Aniston Makes Rare Comment on Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie
The one where Jennifer Aniston takes on the tabloids.
It's been 20 years since the Friends alum announced her separation from then-husband Brad Pitt—amid rumblings that the actor had sparked a romance with his Mr. & Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie—but Aniston still remembers that "love triangle" era all too well.
'It was such juicy reading for people," the Morning Show actress told Vanity Fair in an interview published August 11. "If they didn't have their soap operas, they had their tabloids.'
"It's a shame that it had to happen, but it happened," she added. "And boy did I take it personally.'
As for her mindset at the time? "Just pick yourself up by the bootstraps," she explained, "and keep on walking, girl.'
The same year that Aniston, 56, and Pitt, 61, called it quits, he officially moved on with Jolie, 50, and the new couple even posed for pictures together in a spread for W magazine, titled "Domestic Bliss," depicting them as married with kids. (Pitt and Jolie later married in 2014 before she filed for divorce two years later, leading to a decade-long legal battle.)

After Pitt and Jolie's 2005 photoshoot was released, Aniston told Vanity Fair shortly after, "There's a sensitivity chip that's missing."
And although Aniston hasn't looked back at her interview with the outlet in a while, she can still recall her emotions at the time.
"I just remember the experience of doing it—which was kind of jarring," she told VF in her new interview. "It was also such a vulnerable time. But yeah, that was one for the memoirs."

And even though those emotions still linger, Aniston—who was married to Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018 and has recently been link to hypnotist —has well moved on from her relationship with Pitt. In fact, the two have even shared friendly interactions over the years.

‘Sex and the City:' A TV love story I didn't see coming
As far as television show relationships go, 'Sex and the City' was the one I didn't see coming. It didn't sweep me off my feet like the 'Grey's Anatomy' pilot did. It didn't give me five years of bliss before slowly losing its spark like 'Supernatural.' It was, in many ways, the friend I slowly fell for. The show debuted in 1998, when I was too young to be watching it and my older sister was way too cool to care. I was a kid, so obviously didn't see myself in any of the women at the time, but I appreciated being privy to the adult conversations. Did they all talk and think like this? Weird! Growing up along the border in Texas, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha were not women I knew in real life and not women I ever imagined myself being. But even as a preteen, I knew they were fabulous, funny and a good time. I didn't need them to be more than that — until I did. Back in 2023, I decided to take on my third rewatch of the original series ahead of the second season of spinoff series 'And Just Like That,' which this week will air its finale and possibly mark the conclusion of the universe (but nothing ever really ends these days, does it?). I hadn't seen the show from the beginning since my early 20s, when I was sexless in the city, having moved to New York with goals, ambitions and living up to the nickname bestowed upon me by my sisters after years of prudishness – Sister Mary Clarence. This time, I was one month postpartum and having a hard time. Because the elusive perfect latch was not part of my motherhood story, I was exclusively pumping and needed to pump every 2-3 hours around the clock for a baby that needed to eat every 3-4 hours. Do the math. I was exhausted and very much in need of a laugh not caused by sleep-deprived mania. So at night, I'd dull the sound of my whooshing breast pump with a blanket as I sat across from my sleeping son and pop my earbuds in to watch 'the girls,' as they became known in my head. By the time I got to Season 4, I was crying with Miranda as she struggled to adapt to motherhood, understanding deeply when she confided in Carrie that her fear was losing the connections that she valued the most — those with her friends. Two seasons later, when Charlotte had her miscarriage, I was thrown again. Just the year before, that sad lump on the couch had been me, and I did not recover in a day or with the help of an E! 'True Hollywood Story' about Elizabeth Taylor. I cried for Charlotte because I knew her heartache, and I was grateful to know I got through it, with a whooshing breast pump to prove it. Watching the show in my 20s had landed differently than my initial watch because by then, I knew what it meant to be lonely, to be broke because you love shoes, to feel broken, to be a good friend and be a bad one. Watching the original show and spin-off in my 30s has been a mixed bag. I have more empathy for their younger selves, more judgement for the older ones who I feel should know better by now and endless amusement that I talk about fictional characters like they're real people I've known for decades. You may not have loved every minute of on-screen or off-screen drama in the 'Sex and the City' universe, but — like real life, where the totality of our stories never hinge on one relationship, one breakup, one decision, one mistake, one triumph — a world rich enough to resonate across decades of your existence is something to be celebrated. At its best, the show has been perspective wrapped in a Tiffany blue box, if you will. Because it has been the reminder that if you survive hard things — like blessings disguised as broken hearts or broken hearts disguised as the end of the world — long enough to have hindsight, that's a gift that never goes out of style. It's time to admit that 'Sex and the City' was never a fling. It was love.

'General Hospital' star says goodbye to Los Angeles after 35 years with cross-country move
"General Hospital" star Rena Sofer is saying goodbye to Los Angeles after 35 years in the city. In a video posted to Instagram last week, the 56-year-old actress shared that she and her husband, Sanford Bookstaver, are leaving LA and moving to New York City with their five dogs. The Instagram video features the couple standing in front of their former home and saying their final goodbye to the city, with Bookstaver sharing they are "off to New York." Sofer then begins singing Billy Joel's hit song, "New York State of Mind," before getting a little emotional about the move. "We've been in LA for almost 35 years and now it's time for me and @sbookstaver to go," she wrote in the caption. "No one better than Billy Joel to create the perfect soundtrack to our dreams! Yes I'm getting emotional. I met and had my children in LA met the man of my dreams and created an incredible life there." "I had amazing success in the Biz and made all my lifelong friends who I will miss desperately," she continued. "Most of all my BFF @arinacabral and my Brother @davidsofer53 !!! Thank you LA for being you. And now on to quieter and calmer times. Leave it to a leaf blower to finish this post, there is nothing more la!!" She concluded her caption with: "Now we are off in our @rivianofficial with our 5 dogs in the back to our new life!!! #saygoodbyetohollywood." Sofer began starring in "General Hospital" as Lois Cerullo in 1993, staying on the show until 1997, ultimately winning a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role as a supporting actress on the show. She returned to the show in 2023, and although she is moving across the country, a source close to the actress told E! News that "There has not been a conversation about her leaving the show." Bookstaver and Sofer first tied the knot in 2003 and welcomed their daughter, Avalon, in 2005, before getting divorced in 2017. The couple later rekindled their romance in 2019 and got remarried in 2024. The couple celebrated their first and 22nd wedding anniversary in May 2024, with Sofer posting a split of their first and second wedding days, writing in the caption, "Happy 1/22 wedding anniversary to the LOML!!!" She added, "Married 22 years ago and RE married 1 year ago! What a beautiful and special journey we've been on!! So excited for our next step! BIG MOVE!! I wouldn't want anyone but you @sbookstaver by my side!!! I love you endlessly." Sofer is also a parent to one daughter, Rosabel Rosalind Kurth, whom she shares with ex-husband Wallace Kurth.
