Dad Shekhar Kapur wishes daughter Kaveri a 'brilliant journey' ahead

Acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur wished his daughter Kaveri Kapur a 'brilliant journey' ahead. The 'Masoom' maker took to his Instagram handle and dropped an adorable childhood pic of little Kaveri shelling out the vibe, "1'm ready to take on the world with girl power". A proud dad penned on the photo-sharing app, "1'm ready to take on the world with girl power !' She asserted at that young age. And she did .. now a brilliant singer songwriter , and terrific actor to boot! Have a brilliant journey Kaveri!" She looked cute as a button in two ponytails and heart-melting expressions. Shekhar also had a piece of advice for his girl. "Remember .. your Destiny is a set of piano keys, but the symphony you play is your own," he concluded. In another update, Kaveri recently unveiled her next single, "Reminisce". For the unversed, the track is one of the original versions of Kaveri's other number "Ek Dhaga Toda Maine" from her debut drama, "Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story". Suchitra Krishnamoorthi files property case against ex-husband Shekhar Kapur However, what's impressive is that Kaveri wrote "Reminisce" at the tender age of 15. Lyricist Prasoon Joshi successfully converted Kaveri's English composition into a Bollywood number. Speaking of "Reminisce", Kaveri said, "One of the first people who heard it was Rahman Uncle ( who I consider my mentor, and he loved it." She further recalled a memorable conversation with the Oscar-winning musician. "I remember when I was very young, he told me something along the lines of your art being a divine gift that flows through you in contrast to something that is coming from you. I didn't understand it when I was a child, but I understand it now. 'Reminisce' was always meant to be an English song and I am excited for its release. It was a long time coming," Kaveri added. Up next, the father-daughter duo is expected to work together in the upcoming sequel "Masoom 2". Check out our list of the latest Hindi , English , Tamil , Telugu , Malayalam , and Kannada movies . RJ Mahvash shuts down troll questioning her cricket knowledge after revealing Yuzvendra Chahal played IPL 2025 with three fractures

RJ Mahvash isn't one to stay silent when targeted by online trolls, especially when it concerns cricket or Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal . The content creator and popular presenter recently posted an emotional tribute to Punjab Kings after their defeat in the IPL 2025 final and revealed a shocking detail: Chahal, the most expensive spinner in IPL history, played the tournament with three fractures. But while fans were moved by her post, one Instagram user took a dig at her, questioning her credibility as a cricket fan. Mahvash claps back at troll doubting her cricket background 'She's just grabbing followers in the name of Yuzi. I bet she even started watching cricket recently,' commented a user under her post. The remark didn't go unnoticed. Mahvash swiftly fired back, saying, 'I have been hosting cricket since 2019, your knowledge is nil chotu! Research!' — signing off with a facepalm emoji. Her confident response earned widespread praise, with fans hailing it as a 'savage' and much-needed clapback. In her original post, Mahvash had revealed the extent of Chahal's injuries during the season. 'His ribs got fractured in the second match only and his bowling finger got fractured later,' she wrote. 'This guy played the entire season with 3 fractures!' She hailed Chahal as a 'warrior' and praised his endurance, writing: 'He gave his everything despite the pain. No one can question his spirit.' Praise for Punjab Kings despite final loss Mahvash also took a moment to appreciate Punjab Kings for their journey through the tournament, calling it an 'honour' to support them this year. 'Well played boys,' she added, while also extending congratulations to RCB on their win. While Mahvash is frequently seen with Chahal in social media snippets, she has remained tight-lipped about the nature of their relationship. In an earlier interview with Yuvaa, she had said: 'I'm very single and happy… I don't go out on casual dates. Just like Ali in Dhoom, I start imagining kids and the future.' Meanwhile, Chahal's personal life has made headlines after his divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma was finalised on March 20 at the Bandra family court. The two had tied the knot in December 2020, and news of their separation surfaced earlier this year. Narayani Shastri breaks silence on Deepika Padukone's exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit with Prabhas: 'I believe women should rest after childbirth'

Narayani Shastri is making a comeback on television with 'Noyontara,' playing a dual role of contrasting characters. She discussed the challenges of portraying both a virtuous and a wicked persona. Shastri also shared her views on women returning to work post-childbirth, referencing Deepika Padukone's reported conditions for a film role, including an eight-hour workday and profit sharing. Narayani Shastri is set to return to the small screen with a powerful double role in the upcoming show Noyontara. Known for her versatile performances, Narayani dives into two contrasting characters—one layered and virtuous, the other charmingly wicked. In a candid chat with IANS, she opened up about the thrill and challenge of switching between these roles, and how the demanding process kept her creatively sharp on set. The actress believes that the decision to return to work after childbirth is a deeply personal one. She noted that someone like Deepika Padukone is in a position to set her own terms, and if those terms are accepted, it's a win for everyone involved. While Narayani personally feels that women should take time to rest post-childbirth, she also emphasized that if a new mother feels ready and has the strength and support system to resume work, she should absolutely be empowered to do so. Deepika was recently replaced by Triptii Dimri in Sandeep Reddy Vanga 's much-anticipated film Spirit. Reports suggest the decision stemmed from specific working conditions proposed by Deepika, including an eight-hour workday, a higher remuneration, and a share in the film's profits. Additionally, it is believed she opted not to speak the Telugu dialogues herself, requesting them to be dubbed instead. On the work front, Narayani is gearing up for her next television outing, Noyontara, where she takes on a double role. Describing her characters, she revealed that one is a layered positive role, while the other is a deceptively charming negative one—what she calls 'a sweet knife.' For the actress, portraying such contrasting personas offers a rewarding challenge and an exciting creative space to explore. Reflecting on her shooting experience, Narayani Shastri shared that playing a double role came with its own set of challenges. In the early days, the team often paused to reassess if they were capturing the right energy or portraying the correct character. The process demanded sharp focus and constant mental alertness to ensure she was embodying the right persona at any given moment. Despite the complexity, she described the overall experience as immensely enjoyable. Check out our list of the latest Hindi , English , Tamil , Telugu , Malayalam , and Kannada movies .
