Bharat Bhushan Ashu urges Aam Aadmi Party volunteers not to vote for party
Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu, on Saturday, wrote a message for volunteers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on his official Facebook page, asking them to take a stand for themselves as their own party leaders "ignored them." Ashu wrote: "Today, my message is especially for my friends in the Aam Aadmi Party. It is for all those common workers of the AAP who have given their blood and sweat to the party for the last eleven years since you joined the party for the first time in 2014. You made the govt in 2022. You got the party a record victory with 92 seats. This is unparalleled. It was all because of you. But, what have you gained?" He added, "You know better than me how the Rajya Sabha seats were "distributed" among those who were never in politics but were big businessmen with deep pockets. And the remaining seats were distributed among people from Delhi. Now another seat, which is represented by a Punjabi, is up for grabs, irrespective of the electoral outcome on June 23, by another Delhi leader, Kejriwal Sahab." Ashu asserted that most of the positions which could be given to workers were given to AAP workers from Delhi and other states. "My appeal to all of you is to ensure that you do not vote for AAP this time. Show your anger and resentment. It is not that I am talking about my own interest alone. If you don't vote for AAP in this by-election and when the AAP candidate gets defeated, only then will the AAP leadership realise that it needs to take care of the Punjabi workers also," he stated. "If he is a true Tamilian, why did he not coin his movie in Tamil" : BJP' Tamilisai Soundarajan lashes out at Kamal Hassan
Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], June 14 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Tamilisai Soundarajan on Saturday lashed out at actor Kamal Hassan and questioned him on why he did not release his movie in Tamil if he was a true Tamilian. She further stated that Hassan did not respect Tamil. 'People are telling me that if I don't support Kamal Haasan, then I am not a Tamilian. I ask Kamal Haasan, if he is a true Tamilian, why didn't he coin his movie in Tamil?... What is 'Thug Life'? Is it a Tamil phrase?... When it's about business, he doesn't respect Tamil. At the peak of his career, he didn't express his respect for Tamil. He was acting in Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films,' Soundarajan told ANI. She further claimed that Hassan was dividing people in the name of Tamil and only wanted to publicise his movie on an emotional basis. 'Now he wants to publicise his movie on an emotional basis. He is thanking the DMK government for offering him a Rajya Sabha seat. Initially, he said that he started the party only to challenge DMK... Now he is dividing the people in the name of Tamil...' she further added. Meanwhile, on June 13, the Supreme Court sought the Karnataka government's response to a plea seeking protection from threats against the screening of Kamal Haasan's film, Thug Life. Considering the urgency of the matter, a bench of Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and Manmohan issued notices to the Karnataka government, the State police, Raaj Kamal Films International Private Limited and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) seeking their responses to the plea. During the hearing, the counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the state authorities have taken no action in Karnataka despite violent threats being issued against linguistic minorities in the State. 'No FIR has been registered. They have joined hands with extremist elements', advocate A Velan stated. After hearing the matter, the Court sought the responses of the authorities mentioned above and listed the matter to be heard next week. On Monday, the top court refused to hear Reddy's plea urgently and asked the petitioner to approach the concerned High Court. (ANI)

Vijay Sethupathi's Ace is streaming on OTT. Where to watch the romantic crime comedy
Even the biggest stars can have misfires, and Vijay Sethupathi 's latest outing, Ace, is a reminder that not every theatrical release hits the mark. While the film failed to generate momentum at the box office despite the buzz around its genre and cast, Ace has now found a new home on OTT. For those who missed catching it on the big screen, the romantic crime comedy is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video in Tamil and Telugu. Directed and produced by Arumuga Kumar, Ace marked a notable collaboration and was also the official Tamil debut of Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth . The movie also stars comedy mainstay Yogi Babu , B.S. Avinash, Babloo Prithveeraj, and Divya Pillai in significant roles. With music composed by Justin Prabhakaran and background score by Sam C.S., the film promised an entertaining blend of romance, crime, and comedy, though its execution on the silver screen received mixed reactions. Its tentative title, Vijay Sethupathi 51, the project generated curiosity for being Sethupathi's 51st film as lead. A year later, the film was officially titled Ace. Shot predominantly in Malaysia, the film wrapped up its shoot within six months and finally premiered in India on May 22, 2025, with a worldwide theatrical release the next day. The movie centres around Kannan, who sets out to build a new life abroad, but instead finds himself trapped in a deadly game of sharks.
