Rod Stewart's AI video shows Ozzy taking selfies with dead stars
Ozzy Osbourne fans are reeling after Rod Stewart screened a bizarre AI-generated video tribute to the Black Sabbath legend featuring the rocker taking selfies with dead superstars.
The 'man made horror' unfolded on the big screens at his Atlanta concert over the weekend as Stewart launched into his performance of 'Forever Young'.
The Young Turks singer has been dedicating the song to Osbourne at his shows since the rocker's death on July 22.
The tribute is usually accompanied by a carousel of photos of the late rocker but at American shows last week, Stewart added the AI video of Osbourne, armed with a selfie stick, posing with deceased artists including Prince, Kurt Cobain, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Tupac, Aaliyah, Bob Marley, Freddie Mercury, Amy Winehouse and most inexplicably, rapper XXXTentacion.
The smiling AI images of Osbourne and his heavenly mates were titled 'Eternal stars' and featured them floating on clouds.

'Yes the rumors are true: I went to a Rod Stewart concert last night (lol) and witnessed man made horrors beyond my comprehension,' writer Sloane Steel captioned the Instagram video.
'Ozzy Osbourne with a selfie stick in heaven smiling with Tina Turner, Bob Marley, Prince, and…XXXTentacion.
Steel described the tribute video as 'the craziest, most disrespectful shit I ever saw in my life!!!'
And plenty of Osbourne fans agreed.
'News flash: Rod Stewart is cringe. Who knew?' commented one fan.
'I am shocked that no one told Rod that this was a terrible idea!!!' posted another commenter.

Other fans shared how they had seen the same video aired during Stewart's concert in North Carolina a few days earlier.
'Took my mom to him last week and this made me sick. Crazy weird,' posted a concertgoer.
After the North Carolina gig, the Charlotte Observer review noted that a glum Stewart turned to the crowd after watching the video and added further insult to the cringe-worthy package.
'Very sad. A lot of those people died 'cause of drugs,' he said before cheering up to remark 'I'm still here, though!'
Other people found some humour in the 'Weekend At Bernie's' vibes of the AI video, remarking they were unaware you could sneak cameras into heaven.
'Being buried with my selfie stick like a modern day pharaoh so I can join in,' wrote one joker.

But it wasn't just the video but the reaction of one fan as it screened at the Atlanta concert which particularly raised objections from some pop culture enthusiasts.
When the image of Osbourne and George Michael floated onto the screen, a woman can be heard in the background mistaking the Faith singer for actor Robert Downey Jr, who is very much alive.
'The 2nd biggest crime here was thinking George Michael was Robert Downey Jr,' commented one astute fan.
After Osbourne's death last month, Stewart wrote on Instagram, 'Bye, bye Ozzy. Sleep well, my friend. I'll see you up there — later rather than sooner.'

Almost 15 years after launching, social media giant Instagram has taken pages out of TikTok and Snapchat's books — adding three new features to their app. The changes were announced by parent company Meta on Wednesday, with roll-outs for the new features within Australia happening on Thursday. The new features have Aussies talking, with Instagram trending as a top Google search in the country throughout Wednesday and Thursday — so what are the new features, and how do they work? Instagram Reposts The new Repost feature allows users to share content in their feed - with a tab on their profile letting them see everything they've reposted. Credit: Meta The biggest change that Australians have seen to their Instagram feeds allows users to share public reels and feed posts with their followers – with the app following TikTok's lead and branding the function 'reposts.' The Meta team behind the update explained friends and followers can see any repost made, with any shared content crediting the original creator. 'Reposts will be recommended to your friends and followers in their feeds, and they'll also be in a separate tab on your profile, so you can always go back to revisit your reposts,' the Meta team explained. Users also have the option of adding personal notes to reposts by typing a message in the thought bubble that appears. New 'Friends' tab in Reels Users can choose to watch only Reels friends have made or interacted with. A new 'Friends' tab has appeared on Instagram's Reels page, allowing users to view videos that friends have like, reposted, commented on, and created. 'Friends will help you see which reels the people you care about most are creating and engaging with,' Meta said in relation to the new tab. Officials at the app have also confirmed they are working to upgrade features of the Friends tab over the next couple of weeks, allowing users the ability to hide content they've liked and commented from appearing in this section. Similar to the map feature on Snapchat, users are given the option to opt out of location-sharing but will still be able to view the map and people who have chosen to share. The maps feature also includes a parental supervision update, allowing parents to receive notifications if their teen has shared their location and allowing them to control the feature's availability. While this feature has not hit Australian's accounts yet, the Meta team behind the update promises Maps will have 'global availability very soon.'
