Newsom account knocks Dana Perino over criticism of posts: ‘They still don't get it'
'ALMOST A WEEK IN AND THEY STILL DON'T GET IT,' the governor's office wrote Monday on social platform X in response to a segment on Fox's daytime table talk program 'The Five.'
During the segment, Perino, who served as a top White House aide during former President George W. Bush's administration, said Newsom and his team 'have to stop it with the Twitter thing.'
'I don't know where his wife is,' she continued. 'If I were his wife, I would say you are making a fool of yourself, stop it.'
Newsom's press account has in recent days made a series of posts mocking President Trump and his administration, writing in all caps — the president's signature style — and attacking Fox News and its hosts directly.
A recent example came amid the redistricting battle that has spread across the U.S. after Texas Democrats fled the Lone Star State to avoid voting on a map that could give Republicans up to five additional House seats in next year's midterms. Newsom pressed Trump to pull back the GOP efforts.
'DONALD TRUMP, THE LOWEST POLLING PRESIDENT IN RECENT HISTORY, THIS IS YOUR SECOND-TO-LAST WARNING!!! (THE NEXT ONE IS THE LAST ONE!),' Newsom's press office posted on X. 'STAND DOWN NOW OR CALIFORNIA WILL COUNTER-STRIKE (LEGALLY!) TO DESTROY YOUR ILLEGAL CROOKED MAPS IN RED STATES.'
California Democrats unveiled legislation Monday to move forward with their own redistricting plan to counteract the Texas moves.
The governor's pushback on Trump comes amid speculation he could be eyeing a run for president in 2028.
'He's got a big job as governor of California, but if he wants an even bigger job, he has to be a little bit more serious,' Perino said.
In a follow up post on Tuesday, the Governor's press account attacked the host again writing 'FOX HATES THAT I AM AMERICA'S MOST FAVORITE GOVERNOR ('RATINGS KING') SAVING AMERICA — WHILE TRUMP CAN'T EVEN CONQUER THE 'BIG' STAIRS ON AIR FORCE ONE ANYMORE!!!'

Texts Show Jeanine Pirro Gloating About Aiding Trump Campaign While Working At Fox
Jeanine Pirro, a former Fox News host who's now the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, boasted about helping the Trump campaign while she was working at Fox News, according to texts revealed in newly unredacted court documents. The September 2020 texts from Pirro to Ronna McDaniel, then the chair of the Republican National Committee, were made public Tuesday in filings by voting technology company Smartmatic, which is suing Fox News for defamation related to its election fraud coverage. I work so hard for the President and party.' The U.S. attorney's office in D.C. did not immediately return requests for comment on the texts, which were first reported by The Washington Post on Wednesday. In a text from another newly unredacted filing, Pirro discussed being with Trump in the Oval Office shortly before the 2020 election. In the messages sent to a friend, Pirro said her fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity stormed into the room and used the president's private bathroom. She referred to him as an 'egomaniac.' Pirro, along with Fox News hosts Jesse Watters and Maria Bartiromo, are all named in the lawsuit alongside the network. The filing features several instances of Fox News hosts and guests suggesting that Smartmatic's software altered votes to steal the election from Donald Trump and hand the victory to Joe Biden, which is not backed by any evidence. The network featured Trump lawyer Sidney Powell on Pirro's show, 'Justice with Judge Jeanine,' in November 2020, allowing him to attack Smartmatic on air. When reached for comment, Fox News denied any wrongdoing. 'The evidence shows that Smartmatic's business and reputation were badly suffering long before any claims by President Trump's lawyers on FOX News and that Smartmatic grossly inflated its damage claims to generate headlines and chill free speech,' the statement said. ‘South Park' targets federal takeover of Washington, DC, police in latest episode
NEW YORK — 'South Park' is continuing its cartoon assault on the Trump administration, with an episode on Wednesday that addresses the federal takeover of Washington, D.C.'s police department. A 20-second promo of this week's episode released by Comedy Central depicts the show's recurring character 'Towelie' — an anthropomorphic towel — riding in a bus past the U.S. Supreme Court building and White House, where armed troops are patrolling. A tank rolls by in front of the White House. 'This seems like a perfect place for a towel,' the character says upon disembarking the bus. 'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone recently signed a reported $1.5 billion, five-year deal with Paramount for new episodes and streaming rights to their series, which began its 27th season this summer. Their second episode of the season depicted Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem shooting puppies, a reference to a story from the former South Dakota governor's biography where she said she killed the family dog because of its behavioral issues. Noem is also depicted being trailed by a team of beauticians having to reattach her face. 'It's so easy to make fun of women for how they look,' Noem told Glenn Beck in response to the episode. The season premiere mocked President Donald Trump's body in a raunchy manner and depicted him sharing a bed with Satan. The White House has dismissed 'South Park' as a fourth-rate, no-longer-relevant show. But it has been attracting attention; Comedy Central said the Noem episode had the highest audience share in the show's history, a reference to the percentage of people with televisions on watching the cartoon.
