
Here's why Sergio Sette Camara will replace Norman Nato as Nissan driver at Berlin E-Prix

Norman Nato will not be taking part in the Berlin double-header. Nissan reserve driver Sergio Sette Camara will be stepping into his shoes to drive the Nissan Formula E car at the Berlin race, scheduled for July 12 and 13.
Nissan has informed that Nato will be skipping the Berlin race in order to participate in the World Endurance Championship.

The news about the 27-year-old Brazilian driver Sergio Sette Camara driving for Nissan was shared on Formula E's Instagram page with the caption: 'Norman Nato will miss the Berlin E-Prix with @nismo's reserve driver @sergiosettecamara replacing the Frenchman for the race.'
The other Nissan driver, Oliver Rowland, liked the post on Instagram.
A fan commented, 'The irony of a Brazilian replacing Nato because he'll race in Brazil.'
Sharing the reason behind Nato's absence, an update was shared on Nissan's Instagram page. Pictures of Sette were posted with the caption: '@SergioSetteCamara will race with us for the first time at the upcoming #BerlinEPrix! Our Reserve and Development driver steps in for @Norman_Nato due to his World Endurance Championship commitments.'
Nato will be taking part in the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo race in Brazil in July which will clash with the Berlin E-Prix next month.
Camara responded to Nissan's post, saying, 'Looking forward to it!'
Camara is currently taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. He will be driving for Nielsen Racing in the French event. Nato is also participating in the race on his home soil and will be driving for Jota Sport. He recently unveiled his new helmet for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, which is scheduled to take place on June 14–15.
In Formula E, Camara has previously raced for Dragon/Penske and the ERT Formula E Team. He was also part of the Red Bull Junior Team. In 2018, he signed with the McLaren Driver Development Programme to participate in the 2019 season as a development driver.

Meanwhile, Norman Nato isn't having a great season this year. He is yet to secure a podium and has slipped to 19th position in the 2025 Formula E Driver Standings with 19 points. Before the Berlin E-Prix, Nato will head to Jakarta to take part in the Jakarta E-Prix as a Nissan Formula E driver.
