90s pop star slams fans for taking toilet break during show

Metro11-05-2025
Tina Arena has taken aim at fans who left their seats at her concert to go to the toilet.
The Australian singer-songwriter rose to fame as a child on the variety programme Young Talent Time, then beginning her career as a solo singer aged 17.
Her second album Don't Ask, which was released in 1994 reached number one on the Australian charts, while it also peaked at number 11 in the UK.
In 1996 she was also nominated for International Breakthrough Act at the Brits, however it was won by Alanis Morissette.
In the years since she's sold over 10 million records worldwide.
However, this week Tina, 57, was left unimpressed while putting on a show at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne.
During her Don't Ask Again tour, Tina launched a scathing attack on fans who moved from their seats.
Some fans, who paid around $250 (£125) for tickets, needed a toilet break during her set.
Them deciding to go to the bathroom reportedly upset the singer, who called them out.
'Back in my day you wouldn't leave to go to the toilet unless you were s***ting your pants,' she said, as reported by the Herald Sun.
However, several people who were at the concert defended the singer.
'It was a tongue in cheek comment. Also let's not discuss the drunken people disrupting and having a brawl, that resulted in the show being stopped for 10 mins whilst security escorted the people out. Tina was absolutely fabulous,' Berni commented on FaceBook.
'I was at this concert and I have never experienced the amount of people getting up and walking up and down aisles. It was disappointing and disrupting to the patrons. Multiple people around me could not believe how many people were walking up and down…it was ridiculous. She simply asked for people to go between songs and not during a song, a reasonable request,' Raelene shared.
'It was annoying the amount of people walking in front while we were trying to enjoy her concert. She was amazing. I've never been to a concert where some patrons were so disruptive. I'm 65 and I can manage to hold my bladder. We were lucky she spoke so calmly and finished her sets. She also had to deal with a drunken argument in the front rows and a flash going off every few mins,' Pam added. More Trending
Last year Tina faced backlash during a performance with Katy Perry at the Australian Football League's Grand Final.
In 2023 she had been slammed after admitting she broke Melbourne's Covid lockdown rules in an interview, calling it 'totalitarian' and saying she 'couldn't cope' with being 'fear-driven'.
When she took to the stage at the sporting event, boos could be heard among the crowd of 100,000 people at the stadium.
Metro has contacted representatives for Tina Arena for comment.

Kim Kardashian channels Bianca Censori in sheer tights outfit and no underwear

Kim Kardashian has channelled her ex-husband Kanye West's new wife, Bianca Censori, in a daring new look. Snapped from the inside of a private jet, Kim, 44, posted a carousel of images on Instagram that showed off her travels to Korea with her sister Khloe Kardashian and friend La La Anthony. The trio wore fur coats, sunglasses, and Kim's controversial Skims facial shapewear wraps around their heads, appearing to be naked underneath their lavish get-up. Confirming her barely there look, Kim then shared a mirror selfie showing off that she was wearing nothing more than tights, pulled up over her breasts. The star ditched her underwear for this look, but used an editing app to add a quick black line across each nipple, shielding her modesty. The following snaps captured the luxury nature of the trip, with Khloe brandishing a bottle of champagne, and Kim posting a snap of the bejewelled YSL logo on her tights and the branding of her designer bag. The post was strikingly similar to the looks shared by Bianca, 30, who has regularly been seen out in outfits that leave very little to the imagination. The Skims mogul and controversial rapper, 47, were married from 2014 to 2022 and share children North, 11, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and Psalm, five. After the pair split, Kanye went on to marry Bianca, an Australian architect, in 2022. Bianca has become known for her frequent tiny looks, often opting to pose nude on social media and even wearing daring looks publicly, leading to calls for 'public indecency arrest'. Her most recent eyebrow-raising look was her totally sheer Grammys dress, which caused a major stir and resulted in Bianca being splashed across every major news outlet. Concerns have been raised for her welfare, with the internet convinced that her husband, also known as Ye, is dictating what his spouse wears. This isn't the first time that the similarities between Kim and Bianca's wardrobes have been raised. More Trending Bianca looked just like Kim in a blurry snap, shared on her Instagram story in May, posing in nothing but a beige strapless bra top and red underwear, paired with patterned heels and knee-high socks. Bianca has also grown out her long dark hair and styled it in the past few months, which bears an uncanny resemblance to Kim's trademark locks. View More » In December 2024, Kim was also flooded with comments from fans pointing out her similarities with Bianca as she shared a skimpy snap on top of a motorbike. Got a story? Rare coin collector shares six valuable designs that could be worth up to £200k

A coin expert has shared his knowledge with the internet, and some of the coins he flagged as rare and valuable - including a vintage penny that could net you a small fortune If you're a coin collector, or just have a big jar of change sitting around, pay attention... TikTok user @CoinCollectingWizard, who has over 258,000 followers, shared some expertise that's got collectors in a frenzy. In a previous video, the coin enthusiast asked: "Do you remember any of these old British coins? Some are rare and valuable." ‌ He then disclosed a catalogue of six coins worth hunting for. Leading the pack is the 1924 Florin or two shillings, which can fetch up to £65 in good condition or a staggering £145 if uncirculated. The video resurfaced as Brits told look for two 'rarest' 50p coins in circulation worth £230. ‌ He went on, revealing the 1949 Brass 3p's scarcity due to its limited minting of just 464,000, mentioning one recently sold for nearly £500 in fine condition. ‌ The 1925 Florin also earned a spot, priced at roughly £40 in good condition, with the price rocketing beyond £500 when uncirculated, owing to its limited mintage of just over a million. The content creator wasn't finished there as the fourth coin highlighted was the elusive 1869 penny, which could be worth a staggering £5,000 if discovered in decent condition - a detail not commonly recognised amongst the general public. And we mustn't overlook the 1905 half crown, described as one of the "rarest half coins to ever be minted" with merely 160,000 in circulation. "This can fetch anywhere between £450 and £10,000" he explained. "And finally, let's slip this 1933 penny in there because if you are lucky enough to find this coin, then you are guaranteed at least £200,000." ‌ Extremely rare £1 coin sells for £2,500 but you must find little-known detail Since he posted the video, the content has gained hundreds of likes and comments. While countless users flooded the comments section revealing they owned one of the coins, another asked: "Is a 1957 3p worth anything?" Meanwhile, a third commented: "I have over 100."
