Here's when Elon Musk's SpaceX will launch 10th test flight of Starship
An X user shared a video of Starship on X with a caption, 'When did you get interested in Starship? I first found out about it in the summer of 2020.' Elon Musk then replied to this post and revealed that SpaceX will launch its 10th test flight of Starship in about three weeks.
The announcement, made via Musk's official X account, comes after a series of setbacks—including the explosion of the originally designated upper stage, Ship 36, during a test on June 18. SpaceX has since been preparing a new vehicle for the mission, likely Ship 37, paired with Booster 16, which recently completed a successful 33-engine static fire test.
It is expected that the 10th test flight of SpaceX will take off on August 4. It is said that the flight is working on some pending and regulatory approvals.

Mission next: Isro sets sights on building rocket as high as 40-storey, among tallest in world
1 2 Hyderabad: The Indian Space Research Organisation ( ISRO ) is gearing up to develop one of the tallest rockets ever built by man -- a nextgen launch vehicle as high as a 40-storey building (over 120 meters) to put a 75,000 kg (75-tonne) payload in low Earth orbit (LEO), ISRO chairman V Narayanan said here on Tuesday. "Do you know what the capacity of a rocket (launcher) is? The first launcher, which was built by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Ji, had a 17-tonne lift-off mass and was capable of placing 35 kg in LEO," Narayanan said at the 84th convocation ceremony of Osmania University (OU) in Hyderabad. "Fifty years ago, we were in the phase of launching the first satellite. Now, we are shoulder to shoulder with every developed nation," Narayanan said. On India's ambitions to put man on the moon, the ISRO chief said that, as suggested by PM Modi during his meeting with Shubhanshu Shukla, ISRO is in the process of developing a pool of 40 to 50 astronauts for India's future space missions. This even as ISRO is already in advanced stages of its Gaganyaan human space flight mission, where Indians astronauts will travel to space on an Indian rocket for the first time. "The first unmanned mission is planned very shortly... PM recently rolled out the broad envelope of where our space programme has to reach in the coming years. The Chandrayaan-4 programme is already approved and this mission shall be planned as a sample-return mission," Narayanan added. "An Indian has to land on the moon and return safely by a fully indigenous moon mission by 2040," he added. By 2035, a 52-tonne mass space station - Bhartiya Anthariksha Station (BAS) - is going to be built by the ISRO, reiterated Narayanan, adding that the initial modules in space for the same shall start as early as 2027. He also revealed key events that unfolded prior to Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla's successful journey to the International Space Station (ISS) and back, which was the first step in the ambitious Gaganyaan mission , and said that had the rocket taken off as per the initial schedule it would have been a "catastrophic failure". While the original launch of SpaceX Falcon rocket was planned for June 11, he said a day prior to the launch, a team led by him, that was camping at the Kennedy Space Centre, detected a leak in the rocket, pushing the launch date to June 25. "When there was a discussion, 14 questions were asked but none of them were answered satisfactorily, including where the leak was. Finally, we put up a demand on behalf of the Indian govt and the leakage was fixed. Based on the insistence of Indians, the Indian education system, and ISRO training, the fault was corrected. Today we have accomplished a safe mission, not only for Shubhanshu Shukla but also for three other international astronauts," he explained. These key missions apart, ISRO is also working on the Venus Orbiter Mission (VOM) (Shukrayaan) in which a spacecraft will be sent to study Venus. ISRO also plans to launch the Technology Demonstration Satellite (TDS) and GSAT-7R, an Indian military communication satellite specifically designed for the Indian Navy to replace the existing GSAT-7 (Rukmini) satellite, this year among other initiatives. He said India's premier space agency is also working on executing a significant mission in the next three months — of placing a 6,500 kg communication satellite built by the US, into orbit using an Indian rocket. Other projects in the pipeline include the Navigation with India Constellation system (NAVIC) satellite and the N1 rocket. The ISRO Chief also said that the NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite, which was launched on July 30 this year to monitor the changes in Earth's ecosystems, is working "fantastically well". "In fact, this morning, we saw that the first product has come from the satellite, which is going to be useful for the entire global community," he added. The agency is also developing a G20 satellite for the G20 countries, which aims to help the countries of the global south. Pointing out that India has 55 satellites in orbit right now, Narayanan said the number will increase threefold in another three to four years. On the occasion, a degree of Doctor of Science ( was also conferred upon the ISRO director making him the 50th recipient of this honorary doctorate from OU. German firm plans to open its first tech centre in India at Indore
Indore: A German tech firm announced plans to invest at least $8 million to establish a technology centre in Indore, marking its first setup in India. Another Berlin-headquartered technology company also expressed interest in establishing a technology centre in the state, focusing on the service sector. A delegation of five German technology companies visited Indore on a week-long trip concluding on August 22 under the state's Global Startup Exchange Programme. They held meetings with officials from the industries department and key tech firms on Tuesday. The delegation is part of the memorandum of understanding signed between Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) and Germany India Innovation Centre (GIIC) during the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal in Feb 2025. GIIC managing director Siddharth Bhasin said, "The objective behind this visit is locking some good deals and collaboration. German investors are exploring opportunities to share technology and expertise with tech companies of Indore. India is primarily known for its IT services, but the collaboration with German firms could aid in establishing firms working on product development in healthcare, edtech, and others. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it better to shower in the morning or at night? The estimated cost of the tech centre is between $8-10 million, and this facility will make the state more competitive for attracting investments from more tech firms." German AI and software development companies stated that the presence of IT giants like TCS, Infosys and Infobeans, among others in Indore — a home to more than 1000 big and small IT firms—makes the place suitable for German investments and collaborations. "I have explored Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and other Indian cities and found Indore well suited as it has talent due to the presence of IIT and IIM, ease of doing business, and favourable policies for tech companies," said Lange. Another German tech company stated they are in advanced talks with a homegrown listed IT firm for collaborating on technology sharing, soft training, and providing advanced services to clients. "We are in talks with an Indore-based IT giant for collaborating with them with a focus on the services sector. We are also planning to set up a tech centre but have not decided on the location. We are considering Indore seriously because this place has good availability of talent and, most importantly, this is not saturated, which makes it a great place to operate," said Joanna Maja Morzy, marketing and operations lead at Talonic. German tech firms mentioned that the tariffs imposed by the United States will help further strengthen the business relationship with India and pave the way for new avenues for other nations. The German delegation held closed-door meetings and workshops with homegrown IT company Infobeans, followed by interactions with other tech firms and industry department officials at the office of MPIDC. MPIDC Indore executive director Himanshu Prajapati said, "The govt is playing a supportive and encouraging role in international partnerships and technical cooperation. The operating cost in Indore is much lower compared to metro cities, while the city's liveability makes it even more attractive for entrepreneurs and investors to work here. As the digitization of data in India is still in its early stages, and data duplicity affects accuracy in the long term, the country is currently focusing on the integration of AI and data-driven services. " "We are finding immense opportunities to collaborate on the AI side. We will help some of them with their go to market strategy in India and to our customers. German companies are doing some really good work on the generative AI side," said Infobeans co-founder Siddharth Seth. Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI).
