Realme 15 and 15 Pro launching on July 24, full design revealed

India Today08-07-2025
Realme has officially confirmed the launch date for its next-generation number series in India. The Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro are set to debut on July 24, continuing the brand's trend of refreshing its number lineup every five months. This time, it appears to be skipping the Pro+ variant, focusing instead on the standard and Pro models. Here is everything we know about the upcoming Realme phones.advertisementAhead of the launch, a dedicated Flipkart microsite has gone live, confirming the complete design and teasing some key features of the upcoming smartphones. As per the listing, the Realme 15 series is being pitched as a major upgrade over its predecessor, promising a 'faster chip, bolder design, brighter display, slimmer body, clearer camera, bigger battery life, and smarter AI.'One of the standout features is the introduction of a new AI-powered tool called AI Edge Genie, a voice-led photo editing assistant that can modify images based on spoken prompts. For instance, users can ask the AI to transform a regular photo into a party scene by adding balloons, changing outfits, and more. While this feature sounds ambitious, it remains to be seen how effectively it works in real-world usage, particularly in terms of speed, photo quality, edge detection, and how natural the edits look.
In terms of design, the Realme 15 and 15 Pro will be available in Flowing Silver, Velvet Green, and Silk Purple colour options. Unlike the Realme 14 series, the new models feature a redesigned rear panel with a glass-like camera module housing three rear cameras arranged in two circular units, accompanied by a third smaller ring. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right side of the frame. The front also appears slightly curved, giving the impression of a larger display and improved ergonomics due to the curved frames. The Realme 15 series is targeting "young, socially active users" who seek a balance between style and performance. Although detailed specifications are yet to be confirmed, leaks suggest that the Realme 15 Pro 5G could sport a 50-megapixel main camera. It is expected to offer an in-display fingerprint sensor and come in configurations of up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The vanilla Realme 15 5G is expected to offer similar memory options and might carry a price tag between Rs 18,000 and Rs 20,000, as per a leak from 91Mobiles. The 15 Pro model is expected to be priced at around Rs 25,000, similar to its predecessor.- Ends

Tesla finally arrived in India last week after years of speculation in a grand inauguration at Mumbai's BKC. With a physical entry into the market, tech billionaire Elon Musk's electric vehicle company has kicked off online orders in India as well. Moreover, the global EV giant has started accepting online orders on its website, with priorities given to the four major cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Gurugram. TechCrunch reports similar cases of frustration among customers, while early Tesla backer Varun Krishnan, who runs FoneArena, a tech blog, said that it is frustrating to see Tesla take so long in the delivery process. On the other hand, the founder and CEO of a fitness tech company, Vishal Gondal, pre-booked a Model 3 in 2016 just hours after the registrations went live, but after he visited the Tesla showroom in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Gondal felt a bit underwhelmed, as per the report.
