Morocco's Ayoub Amraoui Leaves Nice to Join Al-Ahli Sports
The Moroccan international made his senior-team debut in the 2022-23 season, making 12 appearances, before joining SC Amiens on a loan spell in 2024, where he played nine games in League 2.
Last season, the 21-year-old joined FC Martigues on loan with no option to buy. He has spent the season with the newly promoted outfit in League 2.
Amraoui made a total of 33 appearances with FC Martigues in all competitions, scoring three goals, providing six assists, and ensuring eight clean sheets.
He has also played with Morocco at the youth level and won 12 caps with the U23 national team, including the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
The full-back will now join the Doha-based club, which delivered a good campaign, finishing fourth in the Qatar Stars League last season. Tags: African footballAl Ahli Dubai

Sofyan Amrabat Refuses to Leave Fenerbahçe Amid Exit Talks
Sofyan Amrabat's future at Fenerbahçe is in limbo. The Moroccan international, who joined from Fiorentina last season for €12–14 million with a mandatory purchase clause, has been informed he is not part of José Mourinho's plans for the upcoming season. Despite this, Amrabat has rejected two offers – both from Serie A clubs – citing a significant pay cut. The 28-year-old currently earns €5 million per year in Istanbul, while the Italian offers reportedly did not exceed €2 million. With a contract running until 2028, Amrabat has told the club he intends to stay unless a more suitable offer arrives. His stance has placed Fenerbahçe in a financial bind, as the club looks to offload fringe players and cut its wage bill. Last season, Amrabat featured in 39 matches, scoring twice and assisting four times. His refusal to leave without proper compensation is complicating the club's summer plans. Azzedine Ounahi Set for Girona Move
Azzedine Ounahi is on the verge of joining Girona in a permanent move from Olympique de Marseille. The Moroccan international has agreed terms with the Spanish side, with only Marseille's final approval pending. The 25-year-old caught Girona's attention after an impressive loan spell at Panathinaikos, where he scored five goals and registered seven assists in 37 appearances. He was voted the Greek club's Player of the Season and earned a spot in the league's Team of the Year. Girona, preparing for Champions League football, submitted an €8 million offer – matching Marseille's initial valuation after the French club briefly raised their asking price to €12 million. Ounahi, who rose to prominence during Morocco's run to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals, had joined Marseille in January 2023 from Angers. However, his time in Ligue 1 was disrupted by injuries and inconsistency. Marseille have already left him out of their pre-season squad, along with three other African players: Cameroon duo Faris Moumbagna and Simon Ngapandouetnbu, and Ivorian player Bamo Meïté. Ounahi, who rose through the ranks of Morocco's Mohammed VI Academy, is now set to relaunch his career in La Liga. Tags: Azzedine OunahiFC BarcelonaGirona

Why Is Eliesse Ben Seghir Wearing a Mask?
AS Monaco's Eliesse Ben Seghir has drawn attention during pre-season matches for wearing a protective mask on his face. The 20-year-old Moroccan recently underwent minor nasal surgery to fix a long-standing deviated septum, according to L'Équipe . While the issue wasn't career-threatening, it had been affecting his breathing and match stamina for some time. 🎭🇲🇦 On connaît la raison du port du masque d'Eliesse Ben Seghir ! Il traînait un soucis au nez depuis un moment; il a alors procédé à une petite opération, rien de grave. 🗞️ @Abdel_hamed6 — Lig'ASM 🇲🇨 (@LigASM_) July 15, 2025 The operation took place during the off-season, and Ben Seghir is now wearing a custom protective mask to shield the healing area from impact during games. Unlike Napoli's Victor Osimhen, who wears his mask permanently, Ben Seghir's is only temporary. Though the mask may slightly affect peripheral vision or certain technical movements, the midfielder has proven he can adapt. He missed just four matches last season, featuring in 49 games, scoring nine goals and providing four assists. Tags: eliesse ben seghirligue 1Monaco
