ALBAWABA - A video circulating on social media sparked outrage among human rights and pro-Palestine activists after capturing Israelis throwing objects at Palestinian workers inside a cinema venue in Jerusalem.
According to several Hebrew sources, the Israeli youth were chanting "Death to Arabs" at the Palestinian employees, causing mayhem at the popcorn and beverages sector inside 'City Cinema.' In response, the workers snapped back and defended themselves by throwing objects back at the individuals.
Many pro-Palestine activists condemned the violent interaction on social media, deeming it an act of racism and violence towards a specific group of people.

Israel military intercepts Huthi missile fired from Yemen

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — Sirens sounded in several Israeli cities, including Jerusalem, on Tuesday as the military said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, with Huthi rebels later claiming the attack. "Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by the Israeli air force", the military said in a statement. The Huthis later claimed the attack, saying they had fired a missile at Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv. Yemen's Iran-backed Huthi rebels have launched repeated missile and drone attacks against Israel since their Palestinian ally Hamas's October 2023 attack on Israel sparked the Gaza war. The Huthis, who say they are acting in solidarity with Palestinians, paused their attacks during a two-month ceasefire in Gaza that ended in March, but renewed them after Israel resumed major operations. Israel has carried out several retaliatory strikes in Yemen, targeting Huthi-held ports and the airport in the rebel-held capital Sanaa.

Israeli kills Odeh Hadalin, Palestinian activist who worked on Oscar-winning 'No Other Land'

ALBAWABA - Palestinian activist and teacher Odeh Hadalin, who helped in the creation of the Oscar-winning film 'No Other Land,' was recently shot and killed by an Israeli settler in Masafer Yatta, West Bank, according to several local reports. Odeh Hadalin, who helped document the Israeli attacks on Palestinians residing in Masafer Yatta, "was shot dead by settlers… during their attack on the village of Umm al-Khair," as reported by the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Education. The two filmmakers behind No Other Land, Yuval Abraham and Basel Adra, also confirmed his death on social media. Adra took to social media and wrote, "My dear friend Awdah was slaughtered this evening. He was standing in front of the community centre in his village when a settler fired a bullet that pierced his chest and took his life." He added, "This is how Israel erases us — one life at a time." Additionally, Abraham also wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), "Odeh just died. Murdered." The confirmation came right after Abraham revealed that Odeh Hadalin was shot in the lungs by an Israeli settler. The Israeli police released a statement disclosing that the settler responsible was arrested alongside four Palestinians and two foreign tourists connected to the incident, as reported by Al Jazeera. The settler in question was identified as Yinon Levi after videos of the incident flooded social media. According to the Palestinian agency Wafa, one of the Palestinians was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance after being injured by one of the Israeli settlers.
