SAPCEBALLS 3 Is Reportedly in Development After SPACEBALLS 2 Announcement — GeekTyrant

The Schwartz may be growing stronger than we thought.
While Spaceballs 2 is still on track for its 2027 theatrical debut, a new rumor suggests Amazon MGM Studios is already quietly moving ahead with Spaceballs 3 . The report came from trusted scooper MyTimeToShineHello, who posted on X, 'MGM already developing a SPACEBALLS 3.'
No official confirmation from Amazon just yet, but if true, this signals that the long-dormant parody franchise is being set up for a full-on revival. We might be getting a Spaceballs trilogy.
This rumor drops just weeks after solid details emerged about Spaceballs 2 , which is being pitched as a 'Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film.'
The cast of Spaceballs 2 is shaping up to be a mix of legacy and new blood. Bill Pullman is returning as Lone Starr. Rick Moranis is back in the oversized helmet as Dark Helmet. Mel Brooks is also returning as Yogurt. They'll be joined by newcomers Keke Palmer and Lewis Pullman as Lone Starr's son.
Josh Greenbaum ( Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar ) is directing, with a script from Detective Pikachu writers Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez, along with Josh Gad, who's also starring and producing.
The film's producing team includes Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Jeb Brody, Greenbaum, and Mel Brooks, with executive producers Kevin Salter, Adam Merims, Samit, and Hernandez.
The original Spaceballs launched in 1987 as a loving (and ridiculous) spoof of Star Wars , 2001: A Space Odyssey , and other classic sci-fi. It was met with a lukewarm critical reception but carved out cult status, thanks to its absurd humor, great characters, and quotable lines.
So, is Spaceballs 3 really in motion before Part 2 even hits theaters? It's still just a rumor, but the idea of Amazon MGM Studios going all-in on the franchise makes sense. There's nostalgia, name recognition, and a perfect moment to poke fun at modern IP-obsessed Hollywood.

Design Was Key When Building This Revolutionary Bioscience Company

Ben Lamm Ben Lamm CEO of Colossal Biosciences, Ben Lamm, is focused on is finding a new way, beyond the tried and true strategies of conservation, to stop the extinction of up to fifty percent of all animal species by 2050 — a figure released by the IUCN that could have damaging long term impacts for humanity. Lamm and his team have most famously brought back the mythical direwolf from extinction and created a woolly mouse, but not without a slew of controversy. 'Listen, if everyone liked what we are doing then I would think that we weren't trying hard enough to deliver the breakthrough technology the planet needs,' Lamm said. 'I'm not everyone's flavor, but I don't have to be. The problem is the focus, not making everyone happy,' A board member of the famed Explorer's Club, Lamm is known for his wild ideas which are primarily focused on addressing planetary dangers, bringing what was once considered fringe science to the forefront. 'Everything was fringe science at one point. Microwave ovens; electric cars; the internet,' he explained. 'We don't need to be afraid of fringe ideas. What we should be afraid of is when we stop entertaining fringe ideas and instead double down on only those technologies and solutions that have only worked in the past that we know don't scale or will eventually fail,' And while Lamm revolutionized the world of science and nature while building up his business to become the success it is today, design has been fundamental in each step of the way. 'Design was fundamental to creating Colossal. We knew that if we were successful in our mission, that Colossal had the chance of inspiring the next generation of scientists and conservationists, he explained. 'We really wanted a brand that was approachable to all, fun, educational and full of energy. We settled on this idea that we wanted to build a brand that was old school MTV-meets-Harvard. Since we are creating and evolving life, we wanted that energy to flow through the creative and even colors and copy we chose,' Colossal Biosciences When developing Colossal's digital presence, Lamm and the design team, which consists of an internal creative team and partner agencies, wanted to make something that tied back to CRISPR and genome engineering. 'That is where the Colossal "C" came from. We then really focused on the color palette and messaging to create the 'science streetwear' vibe that the brand evokes,' Lamm said. 'This had to flow through to everything from copy to apparel to web to social and all the content we create,' According to Lamm, part of the job of anyone who wants to educate younger generations on hard science or systems involves distilling the information into core concepts and find a way to present those concepts in a digestible fashion. 'We are now in the attention economy and science has to compete with the latest celebrity gossip, fashion trend or meme,' he explained. 'We need to create content in a way that excites the next generation about science and gives them hope for the future,' Ben Lamm And the company's eye-catching design and inspiring content is working, as hundreds of young people have written to Colossal to express their admiration for the company. 'We get letters from kids inspired by our work — our science, conservation efforts, and commitment to bettering the planet,' explained Dr. Beth Shapiro, Chief Science Officer at Colossal. "I worry about them losing hope when they see how women in science are often treated.' I Watched 'Love Island: Beyond the Villa' & This Detail About The Islanders May Shock You

The Love Island USA season six cast is back and, honestly, I didn't realize how much I missed them until I hit play on Love Island: Beyond the Villa. The new Peacock spinoff reunites some of our favorite Islanders from last summer—JaNa Craig, Leah Kateb, Serena Page, Kenny Rodriguez, Miguel Harichi, Kaylor Martin, Aaron Evans, Olivia Walker, Kendall Washington and Connor Newsum—and drops them back into each other's lives one year after the villa. Let's just say, things are not as sunny as they once seemed. Right off the bat, it feels like a real reunion. The energy between JaNa, Serena and Leah—aka PPG—is still unmatched. And seeing where all the couples and friendships landed post-show adds a layer of realness you never quite get during the villa bubble. The show catches us up on what everyone's been doing but it's not just vibes and vibes only—some serious tension is bubbling to the surface. The first signs of trouble? The unraveling friendship between Liv and Kaylor. By the end of the episode, the two are already clashing, with Liv telling a few lies (about parties and glam, apparently) and Kaylor feeling iced out. Then there's the reunion between Kaylor and Aaron. I'm talking tense eye contact, awkward exchanges and clearly a whole lot left unsaid. Meanwhile, the JaNa and Connor drama from the villa is still simmering and Kenny's right in the middle of it but, of course, he's standing by JaNa like the loyal boyfriend he is. The first episodes take a moment to warm up, offering more heartwarming moments than drama—mostly the cast catching up by the pool or over a meal, Miguel meeting Leah's animals and Kendall casually flirting with a new girl. Still, I'm not worried. With this cast, the emotional stakes feel high and the feelings genuinely real. The most surprising part? The Islanders are exactly who they appeared to be on the show. It seems they were truly authentic both inside and outside the villa, which is honestly refreshing. My final verdict: I'll keep watching. Ultimately, I came for the nostalgia but I'm staying for the inevitable drama to come. Want all the latest entertainment news sent right to your inbox? Click here. 'Can't wait to love you,' Brody captioned a joint Instagram in June 2023 alongside a video of the proposal, before which he told the guests, 'I just want to thank you all for coming here and we really appreciate it. Love you all. And cheers.' And two months after the reality star got down on one knee, the couple introduced their baby girl, Honey, to the world. "Momma and baby are in perfect health," Brody and Tia wrote in a joint post in August 2023. "We are so incredibly in love and have been cherishing this precious time together as a family. We want to thank everyone for all the love and support." Along with the birth announcement, the pair also shared a 12-minute YouTube video documenting their parenthood journey. "To be totally honest here, I didn't really know if I could have kids," Brody said in the clip. "Going into this relationship, Tia was the absolute perfect person. She is my better half. She is the most incredible women I've ever met in my entire life, and I think the universe sort of does things the way it's supposed to. She was the perfect person for me." Even back in the early days of their relationship, Tia couldn't help but gush about how effortless their connection was. "The first date we had, we met on a beautiful island," she told E! News in November 2022. "We went straight to this amazing waterfall and we're both such earth people so it was just the most beautiful setting. Then we went surfing and to a nice dinner.
