Texas offers 2027 RB from North Carolina
The Texas Longhorns currently have one commitment in their 2027 recruiting in four-star linebacker Taven Epps. This week, they made efforts to bolster their class for that cycle by offering four-star running back Amir Brown.
247Sports composite rankings have Brown as the nation's No. 317 player and the No. 23 running back of his class. When it comes to prospects in North Carolina, Brown is No. 11 in the rankings.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder is coming off a productive campaign for Rolesville High School. He averaged 6.6 yards per carry on 93 attempts as he racked up 612 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. Brown was also effective as a pass catcher with 269 yards on 15 receptions and two scores.
Brown has 30 offers from some of the elite programs in the country like Notre Dame, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Oregon, and more. With that being said, the Longhorns need to get him on campus for an official visit soon.

Five-Star PF Toni Bryant reveals thoughts on Mizzou prior to visit
Five-Star PF Toni Bryant reveals thoughts on Mizzou prior to visit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After finishing with a record of 8-24 and having no conference wins two years ago, the Missouri Tigers and head coach Dennis Gates have rebounded nicely from rock bottom. A solid 2024-25 campaign helped to lay the vision for the future, and that future includes contending and landing top talent that has eluded them for years. Advertisement The 2026 recruiting cycle will be one of the biggest in Gates' time at Mizzou. The class is flush with talent and Missouri has an opportunity to build for a deep run in March Madness if they can land some of the top flair. One of those players that the Tigers are targeting is five-star power forward Toni Bryant from Zephyrhills, Florida. Missouri head coach Dennis Gates is looking to turn Mizzou into a powerhouse, and top 2026 recruit Toni Bryant could help the Tigers make a deep run in March.© Nelson Chenault-Imagn Images The Tigers have been recruiting Bryant for over a year now, offering the young five-star back in May of 2024. Earlier this week, Bryant spoke with Travis Branham of 247Sports about his recruitment and gave his thoughts on each of the schools at the top of his list. 'Coach (Dennis) Gates is one of my favorite head coaches for sure. I am probably most excited to get out there," Bryant told Branham. "I am just excited to see the campus. All of the assistants, Coach Gates, they all get out to see me as much as they can, so that's the school that shows the most love.' Bryant's comments on the Tigers are notable. Gates and his staff have spent their time in Columbia trying to rebuild the program back to it's once dominant place, and the comments made by Bryant point towards the culture within the program being stronger than ever. Advertisement Mizzou hasn't landed a five-star recruit in almost a decade, with the last being when Michael Porter Jr. and Jontay Porter joined Cuonzo Martin's 2017-18 squad. If Bryant were to commit to Mizzou, he would become the second highest ranked prospect in program history, behind only Porter Jr. The Tigers will get plenty of additional looks at Bryant between now and when he visits campus in the fall. He is set to play for Tre Mann Elite in the Pro16 AAU circuit before completing his senior year. Ex-Steelers RB Najee Harris goes viral after being labeled a trade candidate
Ex-Steelers RB Najee Harris has been making headlines for trade-related reasons — despite signing with the Chargers less than four months ago. Harris was recently added to Bleacher Report's trade block big board — and here is what B/R's Kristopher Knox had to say about his inclusion on the list: "That said, Harris is on a one-year deal and may not be viewed as a long-term piece for L.A.," Knox said. "The Chargers also drafted Omarion Hampton with the No. 22 overall pick in April, and the North Carolina product might walk into an every-down role. "Teams in need of running back help would at least be wise to call about Harris' availability. While he was never a high-level starter with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was a dependable high-volume back who topped 1,000 rushing yards in all four campaigns." Knox then speculated that the Cowboys and the Steelers — yes, you read that right — would be potential trade fits. As absurd and unlikely as the Chargers trading away Harris in 2025 would be, Pittsburgh showing any interest in their former running back after letting him hit free agency might be the most hilarious trade prediction out there.
