Tulisa shows off her bloodied nose and swollen face as she enjoys SIX beauty treatments to keep her 'eyebrows and cheeks' pert

Daily Mail21-05-2025

Tulisa showed off her results of her marathon beauty day on Tuesday after completing six back-to-back beauty treatments.
The singer, 36, showed off her bloodied nose and swollen face in a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, after completing a series of procedures to keep her 'eyebrows and cheeks' looking pert.
Admitting she was keen to pack in as many treatments as possible, Tulisa revealed she had begun with a muscle-enhancing facial treatment at SkinCAN.
The former X Factor star, who has previously shared her struggles with Bells Pallsy, explained: 'It enhances the muscles and gives you this snatched look on the face. It's brilliant if you don't want to use fillers.'
Tulisa praised the treatment, saying that she really began to notice the results after being able to go five or six months without using Botox.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
Following the treatment, Tulisa then shared the results on her face, which included a bloody and sore nose, that left her looking like she'd been 'smacked in the face.'
She added: 'I asked Jo to go a bit harder on that area because the next thing I'm doing isn't going to be touching that. No pain, no gain.'
Next, Tulisa completed a Collagen Wave with radiofrequency technology, performed by Dermastar's Neelam Patel.
The procedure uses heat to stimulate fibroblasts - the cells responsible for generating collagen and elastin, resulting in a natural lift and smoothing out fine lines.
Sharing that they skipped the usual microneedling treatment, Tulisa told her followers the procedure was 'super relaxing.'
Tulisa went onto film herself during a full body massage and reflexology as she enjoyed a moment of calm before her next treatment, followed by Emface, which combines radiofrequency with HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) to tone muscles.
With her face covered in sticky pads, Tulisa admitted her face was going to be 'a little red' following the treatment.
She then made her way to M Clinic for a thermavein treatment for her thread veins, and shared a glimpse at the painful-looking procedure.
Tulisa then ended the day by receiving an Ethra laser for redness and colleagen production - sporting a pair of black goggles to protect her eyes.
Following her final procedure, Tulisa showed off her glowing natural complexion, but shared that despite the redness, soothing cream was helping with the aftermath.
The N-Dubz hitmaker reassured her followers that the healing typically takes a few days to a week and added: 'I should be ready to rumble by the weekend.'
The singer was diagnosed with Bell's palsy in 2020 - a neurological disorder that causes paralysis or weakness on one side of the face when the facial nerve is damaged or stops working properly.
Yet she soon became locked in a vicious cycle of having filler to even out her appearance and her face becoming inflamed and swollen.
Speaking on Olivia Attwood's podcast So Wrong It's Right this month, Tulisa admitted the problems were particularly bad around the time she reformed with the trio in 2022, ending their 11-year hiatus from the music scene with a new tour and single release.
A doctor soon got to the cause after performing an ultrasound on her face, finding 'three chronically infected cysts' in her cheek, one of which popped during an 'explorative operation' due to being so bulbous.
Tulisa shared: 'I've no idea what they were caused by, they weren't filler, they were just self-occurring, but I came out of the operation and instantly my face was less swollen.
She added that after having her first Bell's palsy attack aged 24, she attempted to use fillers to 'balance out' her face, causing her to be locked in a 'vicious cycle.'
Two years passed where the condition was kept at bay, but she started to feel a 'low level swelling' in the same cheek, which rapidly increased.
She explained: 'I would have like tingling sensations like little ants crawling in my face. I started seeing doctors all around the UK – "Something's wrong with me, what's wrong with my face" – it was so scary. This went all the way up until this year it was horrific.
'I constantly felt like my cheek was on fire. I'd have good days and bad days and on some days, I'd take steroids, which would bring it down.
'When I was doing that N-Dubz run it was at its worst, so you might see an interview, I look normal. And then you see another interview, it's like, what the hell is going on with my face?'
Tulisa also shared her belief that the painful cysts had contributed to a long list of medical concerns she has battled with for years such as sarcoidosis and immune disorders.
She shared: 'I've had all these health problems for years – sarcoidosis, immune disorders and this explains all the symptoms that I was getting and could have been causing Bell's palsy because in total there was, I think, six of them. They could have been growing over the years, actually triggering the Bell's.'
After years of experimenting, Tulisa said she made the decision to remove the filler from her face and now only uses it in her lips.
She added: 'Right now, I only have filler in my lips. There's no filler anywhere else in my face.'
Tulisa has always been open about having lip filler and previously joked about her famous trout pout disaster.
Tulisa added that after having her first Bell's palsy attack aged 24, she attempted to use fillers to 'balance out' her face, causing her to be locked in a 'vicious cycle' (pictured in 2011)
The Young hitmaker raised eyebrows when she showed off an extremely plump pout back in 2014 - leading fans to comment on her rapidly changing face.
Reflecting on the incident, the star said on Lorraine: 'I went through stages, I had an allergic reaction to something, and then it took me a while to get rid of it.
WHAT IS BELL'S PALSY?
Bell's palsy is a condition that causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in one side of the face.
It is a rare condition which is believed to affect around one in 5,000 people each year.
It is is believed to occur when the nerve that controls the muscles in your face becomes compressed.
The exact cause is unknown, although it's thought to be because the facial nerve becomes inflamed, possibly due to a viral infection. Variants of the herpes virus may be responsible.
Around seven out of 10 people with Bell's palsy make a complete recovery, with or without treatment.
Most people notice an improvement in their symptoms after about two to three weeks. However, a complete recovery can take between three and six months.
'I still get fillers in my lips, so it's all about maintaining. I'm happy with it now. That's where you're giving yourself a spruce.'
Elsewhere in the podcast, Tulisa revealed her plans to get 'fat transfer' in the future to help bring down the bruising in her face which makes her 'paranoid'.
She explained: 'I have noticed that where I have been having so many steroid injections into this cheek when it would blow up because of the inflammation.
'As the swelling is going down, I am left with a lot of indentation in this cheek. I've covered it with makeup, it does make me really paranoid. I hate it, no one likes having dents in their cheek or discolouration or things wrong with their face.
'But I will take a bit [of makeup] off so you can see it. It's literally like a bruise, this is the indentation.
'One of the more permanent things you can do is get a fat transfer, which I will do in the future, when I've got time but for now what I'm going to do is a treatment called profhilo.'
A surgical fat transfer is cosmetic surgery to move fat from one part of the body to another. It's also known as a "fat graft" or "lipomodelling".
Ahead of getting the fat transfer, Tulisa revealed she's undergoing profhilo treatment to bring down the bruising.
Treatment with Profhilo improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin.
It comes after the star revealed more insights into her time on I'm A Celebrity, as she admitted became the camp's protestor and even predicted her own elimination.
The N-Dubz star was the third to be evicted from the jungle after receiving the lowest public vote, and immediately fled Australia to go back home to the UK.
She has since revealed her decision to rush home came from her suffering extreme anxiety and becoming overwhelmed with all the cameras.

Boisson lights up French Open, Sinner advances to semis

PARIS, June 4 (Reuters) - Wildcard Lois Boisson lit up the French Open on Wednesday when the home hope toppled sixth-seeded Russian Mirra Andreeva in straight sets to reach the last four, overshadowing men's world number one Jannik Sinner who cruised past Alexander Bublik. While Sinner stretched his Grand Slam winning streak to 19 matches after earning back-to-back titles at the U.S. Open last year and the Australian Open in January, Boisson, ranked 361st at the start of the tournament, thrilled the home crowd with a dazzling performance. Sinner will face the winner between three-time French Open champion Novak Djokovic, hunting a record-breaking 25th singles Grand Slam, and Germany's third seed Alexander Zverev in the last four. Sinner, who beat Bublik in straight sets, is the first Italian man to reach six Grand Slam semi-finals. The 23-year-old, who served a three-month doping ban before returning to action in Rome last month, raced through the first set after twice breaking the Kazakh, who had stunned fifth seed Jack Draper in the previous round. Looking to become the first man representing Kazakhstan to defeat a world number one, Bublik, who hit 37 drop shots against Draper, pulled out this weapon again in the second set. But Sinner broke and held to take it. Ever the entertainer, the 27-year-old Bublik delighted the crowd with an underarm serve but ultimately could do nothing to stop the Italian's march into the last four. Earlier Boisson became the toast of France after staging the tournament's biggest upset with a 7-6(6) 6-3 win over Andreeva, who had been tipped as a title contender, in an electrifying match that had the home crowd on the edge of their seats. The 22-year-old had stunned third seed Jessica Pegula in round four, but on Wednesday pulled off another major shock, beating Andreeva, who had not lost a set in the tournament. "Every tennis player dreams of winning a Slam - and for a French player, Roland Garros even more so. I'll go for it because my dream is to win the final, not the semi-final,' Boisson said. Andreeva, the 18-year-old sixth seed who was bidding to become the youngest female player to reach back-to-back French Open semi-finals in nearly three decades, quickly found herself chasing Boisson's fierce forehand. The underdog, who has been a breath of fresh air in the tournament with her no-nonsense power game and down-to-earth approach, looked to have run out of steam as Andreeva went 3-0 up but she proceeded to win the next six consecutive games. Andreeva repeatedly lost her temper and was handed a warning when she fired a ball into the stands in frustration. With the home crowd the loudest it had been since the start, chants of 'Lois, Lois' echoed across the Philippe Chatrier court, with the decibel level lifted even further because the roof was closed due to rain. Boisson, who will jump almost 300 places in the rankings next week, will face 2023 U.S. Open champion Coco Gauff, who came out on top in an error-ridden quarter-final against Australian Open champion Madison Keys with the pair littering the court with 101 unforced errors. With a total of 49 unforced errors in the first set alone they both struggled to hold serve and Gauff, a semi-finalist in Paris last year, wasted a set point before Keys, who reached the French Open last four in 2018, edged ahead with a tiebreak win. Gauff, who reached the final here in 2022 and is the youngest woman to claim 25 main-draw wins at Roland Garros since Martina Hingis (1995-2000), bounced back to win the next two sets. "So many unforced errors," Gauff, who also had 10 double faults, said to herself after sinking another easy baseline shot into the net. "I was just trying to be aggressive," the 21-year-old Gauff said. "Usually if you're playing too passive, in the end the more aggressive player is going to win. I knew in the second and the third that I had to try my best."

Nintendo Switch 2 launch – live: I've just got my console, here's how to get yours

It's finally happening. The Nintendo Switch 2 launches at midnight tonight, and I've just received my console. After reports that Nintendo wouldn't send out consoles to journalists to preview, I've since got my hands on a brand new Nintendo Switch 2. I've been ripping open the box as I type out this update. If you want your own, it's a little late to preorder, but shops across the country are getting ready to fling open their doors. Every Smyths Toys will be open from 12am, with a small amount of extra stock for anyone who fancies queuing. Over on Oxford Street, Currys is running its own launch event, but it's strictly for customers who've already pre-ordered from the branch. A few retailers are holding back stock for Thursday morning. Argos says it'll have consoles ready to collect from 6am, with same-day click and collect available nationwide. EE will have Switch 2 bundles too, though you'll need to be an existing pay monthly customer to get in on the action. I've been chasing down Switch 2 stock for weeks, and it's safe to say availability is thinning out by the hour. If you've left it late, there's still a decent chance, but you'll need to move fast. I'll be updating this blog with every restock and bundle I can find, and the team and I are on the night shift tonight to catch anything that drops after dark. Nintendo Switch 2 stock at UK retailers A closer look at the unboxing I'm juggling unboxing this console and keeping an eye on stock, but if you want a closer look, here's the screen on the Nintendo Switch 2: The screen is larger than the original Switch, with nearly two extra inches on its predecessor. Alex Lee4 June 2025 17:14 My Nintendo Switch 2 console just arrived Many writers reported that they wouldn't receive a Nintendo Switch 2 console before the launch, so you can imagine how shocked I was when the doorbell went and, well: After months of covering the console, it feels surreal to have it in front of me. If you want to order a console, it won't arrive in time for launch day, but you can still get your hands on one: Pre-order now at ShopTo Pre-order now at Very Alex Lee4 June 2025 16:42 How to prepare for the Nintendo Switch 2 launch If you're hoping to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 tonight, now's a good time to get everything ready. Make sure you're logged in to your retailer accounts, your payment details are saved, and delivery info is filled in. There's nothing worse than having to make an account when all you want to do is buy a console. Some sites (like the My Nintendo Store) will only let you buy the console if you have an active Switch Online membership, while others (like EE) require you to be a pay monthly customer. Alex Lee4 June 2025 15:41 Who's probably not worth checking at midnight? Very and ShopTo are both still taking pre-orders right now, with delivery scheduled for next week – 9 June at ShopTo and 13 June at Very. Since they're already in stock, they'll probably still be available at midnight, but nothing's likely to change. If you're aiming for launch day delivery, these aren't the ones to watch. Game? Don't bother, I say. After cancelling some pre-orders last week, its FAQ now says: 'We cannot guarantee there will be stock available in stores'. Right now, you can weirdly get a Switch 2 into your basket for £9,999. It might indicate a launch day restock, but who knows at this point. Alex Lee4 June 2025 15:00 Who's more likely to restock in the morning? Argos has confirmed it will go live at 6am with launch day stock for same-day click and collect, so set your alarm if you're planning to try there. Amazon is another one to watch. It had pre-order stock live for most of last week but hasn't restocked since the weekend. Based on how it's handled other console launches, I'm expecting stock to appear between 8am and 9:30am. Midnight feels unlikely. John Lewis has confirmed the console will be available to buy on 5 June, but hasn't said when. It doesn't typically drop stock overnight, so a morning release is a safe bet. Alex Lee4 June 2025 14:20 New Zealand and Day One update has entered the chat It's officially launch day in New Zealand, and people are already starting to receive their Nintendo Switch 2 consoles (or they're collecting them in-person). New Year's Eve energy. It also looks like the day one update has rolled out globally, so anyone who's managed to get a console early should now be able to upgrade their machine to play Mario Kart World. Alex Lee4 June 2025 13:48 Who's most likely to go live at midnight? If you're staying up for launch, Smyths is the most reliable bet. Every store across the UK and Ireland is opening at 12am, and there's a good chance it'll have stock online around the same time. The My Nintendo Store is also one to watch. There's been no formal announcement, but it's the official storefront – it has to go live at some point on Thursday. I'll be checking it at midnight just in case. Currys is a bit of a toss-up. It's holding a midnight launch at its Oxford Street store, which makes it possible the site could update too, but given the old listings said "pick up within 1 hour", there's a chance it's planning to go live in the morning for same-day click and collect. Still, I'll be checking overnight. Alex Lee4 June 2025 13:42 US retailers are reportedly cancelling some Switch 2 pre-orders There are reports that Switch 2 pre-orders are being cancelled across several US retailers, including Walmart, Target and Best Buy. Some customers have taken to Reddit and social media to say their orders were dropped without warning, just days before launch. Some believe it might be due to retailers overselling their allocated stock, or last-minute stock issues related to tariffs and shipping delays. Walmart has reportedly offered a few affected customers a $15 gift card by way of apology, and while GameStop posted saying it isn't cancelling orders, a few people have replied with screenshots saying otherwise. Right now, this only seems to be affecting US orders. Besides Game, I haven't seen any other orders getting cancelled. If you're in the US, you'll be able to pre-order a console at most major retailers tomorrow. I've got all the details in the article below: How to get a Nintendo Switch 2 from Best Buy, GameStop, Target and more Walmart, Best Buy, Target and GameStop will have Nintendo Switch 2 stock on launch day Alex Lee4 June 2025 13:02 John Lewis listings confirm launch day restock John Lewis has confirmed that the Switch 2 will be available to buy on launch day. Its listings now read: 'Pre-orders are now sold out. Available to buy from 5 June 2025.' That suggests a restock is definitely coming, though there's no exact time listed yet. John Lewis doesn't usually do midnight drops, so I'm expecting stock to go live sometime in the morning. If you're planning to try your luck, it's worth checking at around 7am – that's when the PS5 used to go live. Alex Lee4 June 2025 12:51 Will Amazon go live at midnight tonight? Amazon had Switch 2 pre-order stock live for most of last week, but it's all sold out now. It's hard to know if Amazon will have launch day stock – all of its pre-orders were scheduled to be delivered on Friday 6 June and Saturday 7 June, so its next wave of consoles might not arrive until the week after. If it does restock, I'm not expecting it to go live at midnight. Amazon doesn't typically do 12:01am launches. When the PS5 and Xbox Series X were released, it was dropped mid-morning at 8am, rather than overnight. Alex Lee

Last gig at Sheffield's Leadmill music venue to feature indie favourite

Sheffield's famous Leadmill music venue has announced its final gig will be on June 27, featuring indie favourite Miles Kane. Last month, the club announced it would have to leave its premises in the city after losing a long-running eviction battle with its landlord, the Electric Group. On Wednesday, the venue announced the final gig, saying Kane's appearance will be 'a remarkable full stop to The Leadmill's concert history'. Live promoter Ben Hartley said: 'Miles has been a cherished friend of The Leadmill for well over a decade. 'After the support he has shown us throughout our eviction campaign and the countless memories of sold-out shows throughout the years, it feels entirely fitting that he joins us one last time to add a remarkable full stop to The Leadmill's concert history.' Well-known names such as Pulp's Jarvis Cocker pledged their backing to the club after it emerged in 2022 that the Electric Group had issued the eviction notice, triggering a lengthy legal battle. After it lost an appeal last month, The Leadmill said the judgment will mean the loss of more than 70 jobs. It described the decision as a 'heartbreaking moment not just for our team but for the entire Sheffield community' which 'feels like a betrayal of the cultural fabric of our city'. The appeal ruling came three months after a judge ruled in favour of the Electric Group, which owns the building and runs Electric Brixton in London plus venues in Bristol and Newcastle. The group has always stressed that it intends to keep it as a music venue, promising 'substantial investment' when it takes over the running of the club. After it won the court case in February, the Electric Group said: 'The successful legal outcome paves the way for a bright future for this venue, ensuring it will receive the substantial investment it needs to thrive. 'It will continue to be a cornerstone of the live music scene in Sheffield, supporting artists, fans and community projects for the next 100 years.' The Leadmill opened its doors 45 years ago and has played host to countless bands including Pulp, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Muse, Oasis, Stone Roses, The White Stripes, Jorja Smith and Michael Kiwanuka. A plaque on the building marks Pulp's first gig, which was at the venue in August 1980. Kane first performed at The Leadmill in 2011 and has gone on to sell out the venue a further four times as a solo performer, most recently in December 2023. He also appeared in 2007 as part of The Little Flames, who were opening for Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10am from The Leadmill website.
