Nothing Phone 3 with flagship features launching this July: Here's what to expect

The Nothing Phone 3 recently appeared on the GSM database and has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Smartprix reported. Internally, the Phone 3 carries the codename 'Metroid' and the model number 'A024.'
On the other hand, some leaks and rumours suggest that the smartphone could feature a 6.77-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The device is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It may offer up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The brand's familiar transparent rear design is likely to remain, possibly built using a glass back and metal frame.

For optics, the Phone 3 could come with a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor. The front-facing camera is expected to be 32MP for selfies and video calling. Industry reports indicate that the smartphone may house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 50W wired and 20W wireless charging.
The new model may also integrate artificial intelligence at a deeper system level. Carl Pei has previously highlighted that future devices will focus on AI-driven interactions. These features are expected to debut with the Phone 3 and expand over time through Nothing OS.

The Nothing Phone 3 will reportedly launch at around 800 euros, which is approximately Rs. 90,000. This marks a notable price jump compared to the Nothing Phone (2), which was launched in 2023 with a starting price of Rs. 44,999.

Russia Builds Shahed-136 Drones Independently, Tensions With Iran Rise
Russia's Alabuga drone factory is now upgrading and producing Shahed-136 drones nearly independently, a move that's said to be causing tensions with Iran. Russia's biggest drone manufacturing complex is almost completely self-sufficient in making Iranian-designed Shahed-136 attack drones. Western intelligence sources indicate this is putting a strain on relations between Moscow and Tehran, CNN reported. The Alabuga factory, in the Tatarstan region some 965 kms east of Moscow, now produces almost all the parts for the drones locally. 'Aluminium bars come in, engines are made from them. Microelectronics are made from electronic chips. Fuselages are made from carbon fibre and fibreglass. This is a complete location,' CEO Timur Shagivaleev said in a Russian state television documentary, reported CNN. The Shahed-136, or Geran, according to Russia, has been one of the mainstays of Moscow's campaign of long-range strikes in Ukraine. Initially shipped from Iran following the February 2022 invasion, the drones are now produced almost exclusively in Russia. Latest satellite images examined by CNN indicate ongoing growth at the facility. Ukraine's Defence Intelligence informed CNN that the factory is producing over 5,500 units monthly, much higher than original production levels, and at significantly less expense. In 2022, it had cost Russia approximately $200,000 (Rs 1.75 crore) to produce one drone. By 2025, that cost had dropped to about $70,000 (Rs 61.36 lakh). According to Ukrainian authorities, Moscow has also equipped the drones with improved communication equipment, warheads and extended-range batteries, making them harder to shoot down. CNN, citing a Western intelligence official, said that Iran initially welcomed Russia's local production but is now becoming nervous. The official indicated that Tehran fears losing control of the design and production of the Shahed. Ali Akbar Dareini, a Tehran-based analyst for the Centre for Strategic Studies, affiliated with the Iranian president's office, said Iran might have anticipated greater Russian support, especially when Israel launched a 12-day bombing campaign against Iran's nuclear installations in June. 'Iran may have expected Russia to do more or take more steps without being required to do so,' he said. The Western intelligence official described Russia's stance as evidence of the 'purely transactional and utilitarian nature' of the partnership, telling CNN, 'This explicit disengagement demonstrates that Russia never intervenes beyond its immediate interests, even when a partner – here an essential supplier of drones – is attacked.' Despite tensions, analysts believe Moscow could still assist Tehran by sending back upgraded drones or related technology. David Albright, a former UN weapons inspector and head of the Institute for Science and International Security, told CNN that some of Iran's drone facilities had been damaged in Israeli strikes and suggested Russia might supply updated Shaheds to help rebuild stockpiles. 'Then Iran could reverse engineer or receive the technology to make a better quality Shahed,' he said. Dareini told CNN that despite the current friction, Iran 'has got, and very likely will get the things it needs for its own security…whether it's military hardware, whether it's in terms of economic cooperation, technology and whatever it needs.'

The story, shared on Livemint by Deepika Chelani, described what she called a 'subscription detox.' With ChatGPT's help, she discovered and cancelled forgotten auto-debits, leading to Rs 2,028 in immediate savings and a permanent Rs 603 cut in her monthly expenses. Finding the Money Leaks Chelani realised she was losing money every month to 'boring, forgettable auto-debits' for apps and services she hadn't used in months. She didn't know exactly which subscriptions were draining her money or how to stop them. She asked ChatGPT for help. The AI gave her a four-step plan to take control of her spending. First, ChatGPT suggested search phrases like 'Your subscription has been renewed' and 'Auto-debit confirmation.' Using these keywords, Chelani went through her Gmail and UPI payment history. She found recurring charges for services like Amazon Prime, Headspace, Gaana+, and Google One, and then cancelled or downgraded them. Cancelling Made Easy Some subscriptions were hard to cancel, so Chelani asked ChatGPT to write cancellation emails for her. She sent these emails to customer support, and within days, the services were cancelled. Finally, ChatGPT recommended creating a monthly 'Subscription Audit'—a quick 10-minute check to make sure she wasn't paying for things she didn't use. A Small Habit, Big Savings Chelani said, 'We focus so much on earning more money. But sometimes, the smartest move is to stop wasting what we already have.' For her, the process only needed a chat window, 10 minutes, and the willingness to clean up—and it made a lasting difference in her finances.

Siemens posts PAT of Rs 423 crore in Q3 2025; order backlog rises to Rs 42,845 crore
Siemens has reported 3.1% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 422.90 crore despite a 15.5% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 4,346.80 crore in Q3 FY 2025 as compared with Q3 FY 2024. Profit before interest depreciation and taxes fell by 17.6% to Rs 645.50 crore in Q3 June 2025 from Rs 783.30 crore in Q3 June 2024. Profit before tax (PBT) in Q3 FY 2025 was at Rs 569.50 crore, down by 19.7% from Rs 709 crore posted in Q3 FY 2024. The companys new orders during the quarter increased by 13% to Rs 5,680 crore while order backlog grew by 8% at Rs 42,845 crore. Sunil Mathur, managing director and chief executive officer, Siemens, said: The Indian economy has remained resilient despite the uncertainties arising from impending tariffs, bilateral trade agreements and supply chain disruptions. This is reflected in the companys strong performance across all businesses during the quarter, including two significant order wins in the Mobility business. While Smart Infrastructure business continued to demonstrate strong execution, the performance at Digital Industries business is now showing signs of recovery indicating that the destocking phase is now largely over. Siemens continues its focus on strengthening its position as a leading technology-focused company in Industry, Infrastructure and Mobility combining the real and the digital worlds."
