Couple Nabbed For Stealing Over RM100,000 In Jewellery From Shop

SHAH ALAM, May 4 (Bernama) -- Police have arrested a couple in Bandar Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor, in connection with the recent theft of jewellery worth about RM111,743 from a goldsmith's shop in Shah Alam.
Shah Alam district police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said police also recovered the stolen jewellery following the arrest of the couple, aged 25 and 23, at 3.20 pm on Friday.
'Both suspects are unemployed and have no prior criminal records. Initial urine tests returned negative for drugs.

Initial investigations revealed the Toyota Avanza was heading from Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to skid left. Two other passengers, Md Habib Bissas, 45, and Maniram Chandra Bas, 40, were injured and taken to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA). Mohd Adli confirmed the driver lacked a valid license, and the vehicle's road tax had expired since May 2025. SHAH ALAM: Police are tracking down a group of cyclists whose actions — appearing to surround a car — recently went viral on social media. The incident is believed to have occurred at about 9.30pm on Tuesday along Persiaran Dato Menteri. Their behaviour was captured by a dashcam on the vehicle. Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said investigations revealed that the cyclists were riding on both the left and right lanes of the road. "This caused the car driver to slow down as the group was blocking the way," he said in a statement yesterday, reported Harian Metro. The case is being investigated under Section 54 of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Rule 42 of the Road Traffic Rules LN 166/1959.

SHAH ALAM, Aug 2 — A four-year-old boy was found dead after he is believed to have fallen from the eighth floor of a flats in Port Klang near here yesterday. Klang Selatan Police deputy chief Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah said an emergency call was received at about 8 am. He said the incident occurred while the boy's father was at work and the mother had gone out to take their second child to the babysitter. 'Preliminary investigations indicate that the boy fell from the window of his home on the eighth floor. He was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Klang, but was pronounced dead during treatment,' he said in a statement. Kamalariffin said the case was being investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001. He urged those with information about the incident to contact the Klang Selatan Police headquarters at 03-33762222 to facilitate investigations. — Bernama
