Megan Thee Stallion has revealed big plans for her nonprofit organization. The Houston rapper announced the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala, set to take place in New York City's Gotham Hall on July 16.
According to Billboard, the event will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson and feature DJ D-NICE at the DJ booth. Additionally, a special musical guest will be announced as a performer closer to the event. As described by the outlet, influential figures in various industries such as business, sports, philanthropy, and entertainment will be invited to the elegant affair.
The Pete & Thomas Foundation was founded by the Grammy-winning musician in 2022, in honor of her late parents, Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete Jr. According to its official website, the organization exists to provide resources to effect meaningful and positive change in the lives of women and children, senior citizens, and underserved communities in Houston and worldwide.
The foundation's programs are focused on the areas of education, housing, health & wellness, and community goodwill.
In 2024, the Pete and Thomas Foundation served over 8,600 students, mothers, fathers, and senior citizens with various events such as the Hottie Walk in Los Angeles, the Emergency Power Program, and the annual Megan Thee Stallion Day of national community service and giving back.
'Launching the Pete and Thomas Foundation is easily one of the most significant endeavors that I'll ever be part of in my career,' explained the 30-year-old.
'My family raised me to help others and give back, so I'm incredibly proud to be in a position to accomplish that goal. I have a responsibility to use my platform to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who may not have access to resources and support services.'

Quinta Brunson leads 'Zootopia 2' trailer as Judy and Nick head to therapy: Watch

After nearly a decade, "Zootopia" is finally hopping back to theaters. Disney has dropped the first full trailer for "Zootopia 2," the highly anticipated animated sequel to its Oscar-winning 2016 hit. The footage features Quinta Brunson as the voice of a quokka therapist, Dr. Fuzzby, who leads a group therapy session for dysfunctional police partners. Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) attend the session just one week after officially becoming partners. Judy insists their being there is a misunderstanding, but Dr. Fuzzby isn't buying it. The second half of the footage lays out the sequel's plot, which involves Judy and Nick being handed an important assignment involving a snake that has arrived in Zootopia — even though, according to Nick, no snake has set foot in the city "in forever." Watch 'Zootopia 2' trailer: In the movie, Judy and Nick's partnership is put to the "ultimate test when they find themselves on the twisting trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis," Disney's plot synopsis says. Who else is returning for 'Zootopia 2'? Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan has joined the sequel's cast as Gary De'Snake, while returning stars include Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, Nate Torrence as Clawhauser, Jenny Slate as Bellwether, Alan Tudyk as Duke Weaselton, Tommy Chong as Yax and Shakira as pop star Gazelle. And yes, the DMV sloth is back, too. The original "Zootopia," set in a city where various species of anthropomorphic animals live together, is one of Disney's biggest hit animated movies of the past decade. It grossed more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office and won the Academy Award for best animated film. We definitively rank Disney's live-action remakes, 'Lilo & Stitch' included 'Zootopia 2' release date "Zootopia 2" will be Disney's latest animated sequel, hoping to make a splash around the Thanksgiving holiday. It will hit theaters on Nov. 26, 2025. In 2023, "Moana 2" set a record for the biggest Thanksgiving weekend box office opening of all time and went on to sail past the $1 billion mark at the global box office. The definitive ranking of all 29 Pixar movies (including 'Elio') "Zootopia 2" should allow Disney to bounce back from the failure of its original animated film "Elio," which disappointed at the box office in June with the lowest opening weekend in Pixar history domestically. After "Zootopia 2," Disney has the animated sequels "Toy Story 5" and "Ice Age 6" scheduled for 2026, while "Frozen 3" is set for 2027.

Tom Brady on Scottie Scheffler ranking family over golf success: 'Why are those mutually exclusive?'

Earlier this month, Scottie Scheffler called his career "not the be-all, end-all" and that he preferred to be a better dad than golfer. Scheffler's answer at a press conference ahead of the British Open — a tournament he would end up winning — went viral and stuck with Tom Brady. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, three-time NFL MVP and three-time dad, understood what Scheffler, a 17-time PGA tour, four-time major championship winner and one-time father, was feeling. Scheffler had expressed how fleeting winning can become and wondered is there more to it all? 'It feels like you work your whole life to celebrate winning a tournament for like a few minutes,' Scheffler said. 'It only lasts a few minutes, that kind of euphoric feeling. To win the Byron Nelson Championship at home, I literally worked my entire life to become good at golf to have an opportunity to win that tournament. You win it, you celebrate, get to hug my family, my sister's there, it's such an amazing moment. Then it's like, OK, what are we going to eat for dinner? Life goes on.' Winning is great, but how fulfilling is it? Brady writes in his latest newsletter that he experienced a similar feeling in 2005 after winning three Super Bowls in first four NFL seasons with the New England Patriots. He brought it up during a "60 Minutes" interview at the time saying, "What else is there for me? I wish I knew." Over the next two decades, Brady writes, he figured out how family and career could fit together. "The lessons came in stages. First, that there is more to life than playing football and winning championships. Then I learned exactly what those other things were. Then, I learned how they all fit together so that what I did on the field supported the things I did off the field, and vice versa. And finally, most importantly, I learned that it was the pursuit of excellence in each of these areas where I found the most joy, not in the achievements themselves. It was the process, not the outcome." It's about the journey, not the destination. As Scheffler wrestles with what should be valued higher in his life — golf or family — Brady writes that they don't have to be separated. As part of his answer at Media Day, for example, Scottie said he'd rather be a better father and husband than a good golfer. And my question is: why are those mutually exclusive? Sure, they're different blocks on the pyramid, but they're part of the same pyramid. They're connected! For instance, I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family. I chose to do it by playing football. My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused—those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate; and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives. Remember, your children are watching everything. They see what you do in every aspect of your life and how you do it. Reading bedtime stories and helping them with homework are not the only ways to be a great parent. And neither is winning Super Bowls or MVPs. Being a great football player didn't make me a great dad, but how I became a great player certainly had an impact—from showing up day in and day out, to doing whatever it took to get better, be successful, be a role model, and to provide. Scheffler's son, Bennett, is 14 months old and so far Scheffler has done a fine job of balancing his personal life with his golfing life. But as Brady sees it, Scottie Scheffler the Dad and Scottie Scheffler the Golfer are helping the other succeed.
