(Video) Older & Balding: Kasih Iris Leona Reveals Her New Preference In Men

Hype Malaysia22-05-2025
Malaysian influencer Kasih Iris Leona, the daughter of actor Azhar Sulaiman, has not been in a romantic relationship since ending things with her ex-boyfriend a few years ago. However, she has been open about her search for the right man, even launching an online application via her TikTok channel in the hope of finding her ideal partner.
Whether the application was made in jest or in earnest, there's no reason for her to feel embarrassed about wanting to settle down. The public figure has previously spoken about what she looks for in a partner, and more recently, she revealed to her followers a new discovery about her type when it comes to men. Here's what she had to say:
Earlier this week, Kasih Iris Leona shared a video on her TikTok channel discussing the type of men she currently finds attractive. Judging by her tone and expression, it appeared to be a recent discovery. 'Guys, tell me why my type is older men who are literally balding?! I don't know—when I see younger men, I'm not attracted to them at all. They're like kids. But an older man, however…' she said, before laughing in disbelief at her own confession.
The influencer went on to say that she's had a wild night, which may have led to her realisation, but she chose not to go into detail. Leona later posted a follow-up video with the caption, 'When they're a decade older,' before hinting that the man she had met was, possibly, two decades her senior. The hint, however, turned out to be a joke, as clarified in another video, reminding her followers not to take her previous statement too seriously.
Shortly after posting her videos, many of her followers, particularly women, agreed that older men are indeed more attractive. Some even listed their favourite Hollywood celebrities such as Tom Hiddleston, Stanley Tucci and Jason Statham, all of whom are over the age of 40. Others agreed with the content creator on the appeal of older men, but were less convinced about the balding aspect.
A few followers were curious about what had happened and asked for more context regarding the recent night out that led to her change in preference. Do you share the same preference as Leona? What are your thoughts on this topic?

Jeju to host K-Culture Festival, offers fully-paid trip to three wheelchair-using M'sian BTS fans

KOTA KINABALU: Jeju Island will host a K-culture festival this September, with a special programme to recognise Malaysian fans of BTS. Organised by the Jeju Tourism Organisation (JTO), the event, called the 2025 Purple Festa in Jeju, will take place for two days beginning Sept 12. In a statement, JTO disclosed that the highlight is the 'Equal Sign Tour', which offers a fully paid trip to Jeju for three wheelchair-using BTS fans and their companions. This programme is open to Malaysian citizens, but they must be able to travel from Singapore. The organisers say this is a way to thank Malaysian fans for their strong support of BTS over the years. 'This festival is a meaningful attempt to provide a new fan tour experience. It is also the first step toward a future of sustainable tourism where the positive influence of fans can coexist beautifully with the local community,' the statement read. Malaysia's love for BTS is well-known, with even His Majesty the King expressing admiration for the group. The first day of the festival will be held at VEKE Garden, a K-pop themed venue, where activities include concerts, dance workshops, and fan art exhibitions. The second day focuses on K-dramas and takes place at the historic Jeju-mok Government Office. Visitors can enjoy tours, traditional games, and immersive drama experiences. All festival programmes are free, and shuttle buses will be available for easier transport. JTO added that they hope the event will boost tourism on the island and create a more inclusive and accessible travel experience for international fans. Malaysian Man Goes Viral For Being Credited In Marvel's 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'

What could be better than seeing Malaysia mentioned or featured in a Marvel film? Having local talent involved in the production, of course! Whether on screen as an extra or behind the scenes, it's a point of pride to know that Malaysians are contributing to major Hollywood blockbusters. One such Malaysian has now been credited not for just one Marvel project, but several. In a post shared on Threads, 3D generalist Ahmad Hamidullah revealed that he was one of the many visual effects artists involved in the studio's upcoming film, 'The Fantastic Four: First Step'. 'Alhamdulillah. Another year, another Marvel movie. This time, I was credited in The Fantastic Four 🥳,' he wrote, sharing a screenshot of the end credits featuring his name alongside his team. Obviously, since the film was a huge success, Ahmad's post quickly went viral, with many expressing curiosity as to how he landed the job, what specific aspect of the film he worked on and how much he was paid for the project. The local artist explained that he works at the Kuala Lumpur branch of Base FX, a company specialising in visual effects, animation, high-end creature and character work, fluid simulations, and other dynamic effects. The company has contributed to several blockbuster hits, including 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and the Oscar-nominated 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'. When asked about his role in 'The Fantastic Four', Ahmad shared that he was responsible for texturing and primarily handled 3D assets for the film, specifically for characters and elements such as Moleman, Subterranea, a retro bus, and various underground scenes. For those curious about his salary, that's quite a sensitive topic, so you're going to have to ask him personally about the payment for these projects. As Ahmad mentioned that he had worked on several Marvel projects, many were curious to know which ones they were. While he did not specify in his original post, his IMDb profile reveals that he was part of the visual effects team for the 'Deadpool & Wolverine' film as well as the 'Ironheart' series. It's so amazing to have our local talent shine in international blockbuster hits. We hope that more Malaysians will receive the same opportunity to work on these projects or even star in them!
