Two Filipino Hollywood icons just met up!
Dolly De Leon and Manny Jacinto got together during the 'Freakier Friday's' star visit to Manila.
In an Instagram Reel from Creazion Artists, the two can be seen sharing a hug upon seeing each other.
'Good to see you,' Manny told Dolly.
'You too, finally,' Dolly replied.
Manny marveled at the fact that Dolly went to see him, and Dolly said, 'Of course. Are you kidding me? No way. Of course, I'm gonna be here for you and support you 100 percent.'
Dolly also brought her kids, whom she introduced to Manny.
Manny was in the Philippines earlier this week to promote 'Freakier Friday,' where he stars as Eric Davis.
Meanwhile, Dolly made history as the first Filipina to be nominated for a Golden Globe and Bafta. She is best known for her roles in 'Triangle of Sadness' and 'Nine Perfect Strangers.'
She is also set to appear in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" Season 2 and 'Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.'

Manny Jacinto on 'tough' Hollywood journey: 'There's a lot of rejection'

Manny Jacinto may be capturing everyone's hearts now, but the Filipino-Canadian "Freakier Friday" star shared that his journey in Hollywood was paved with a lot of rejection. Manny guested on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday where he candidly talked about the challenges he encountered in the entertainment industry. "It's a pretty tough industry, you know, especially as a person of color, whether you're Asian or a Filipino in general. It can get pretty tough, but there's a lot of rejection in auditions, in casting choices, in projects. You just have to keep on going," he said. "I think I built a lot of work ethic from my parents because of their work ethic and I just, you know, continue to strive on." Manny's most recent role is Eric Davies in "Freakier Friday," a charming chef and single dad engaged to Anna, played by Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan. Before this, he also starred in "Star Wars: The Acolyte," "Top Gun: Maverick" alongside Tom Cruise, "Nine Perfect Strangers" with Nicole Kidman and Dolly De Leon, and "The Good Place," among others. But Manny admitted that he did not always want to be an actor, adding that his family were mainly in the education sector. "I was really the first one kinda in the arts, so I had a lot of weird looks from, you know, some titos and titas and my lolos and lolas, but they were always very supportive and they let me be free and explore dance and the arts," he said. Per Manny, he did not go into acting full-on until after he obtained his engineering degree. He started taking acting classes and auditioned for anything and everything, from plays to films and TV shows. As to where he gets his courage to keep going, he shared, "Well, my mom would always say, 'Ang tigas ng ulo naman ng batang 'to' and I think it's just the stubbornness. I think it's a part of that, but it's also, again, work ethic and also the support from my parents." During his interview, Manny also told Tito Boy that he would like to work with Lea Salonga if given the opportunity and that he has plans to do a film in the Philippines. "Yeah, I think the actual goal is I'm trying to write and create stories that could hopefully be filmed in the Philippines as well, both whether to act here or to create stories to act here," he said. Manny is currently in the country for the Philippine premiere of "Freakier Friday," which is now showing in cinemas.

Manny Jacinto says he wants to work with Lea Salonga, do a film in the PH

Manny Jacinto shared he has plans to do a film in the Philippines and also named Lea Salonga as the Filipino actor he would like to work with if given the opportunity. The Filipino-Canadian "Freakier Friday" star guested on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday where he talked about his career, Filipino culture, and more. According to Manny, one of his goals is to actually create stories that can be filmed in the Philippines. "Yeah, I think the actual goal is I'm trying to write and create stories that could hopefully be filmed in the Philippines as well, both whether to act here or to create stories to act here," he said. He added that one story he has in mind revolves around sabong or cockfighting. "It's a family story. I can't say too much about it because we're still — it's still in the works, but yeah, something along those lines." He also shared that Lea Salonga is one of the Filipino actors he'd like to work with if given the chance. "I mean we've maybe talked on social media possibly, like friends of friends, but we haven't gotten to really speak to one another face to face," he said of the Tony award-winning actress. Aside from Lea, the Hollywood actor also named the late Comedy King Dolphy. "I mean if he was still alive, Dolphy would have been incredible. I think, you know, he was a pretty big part of my childhood, watching those Filipino movies and I think being in the comedy space helped a lot," he said. During the "Fast Talk" segment earlier, Manny had mentioned Dolly De Leon and Christopher De Leon as his favorite Filipino actress and actor. Manny is currently in the country for the Philippine premiere of "Freakier Friday," which is now showing in cinemas. He stars in the film alongside Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, playing the role of Eric Davies, a charismatic chef and a devoted single dad engaged to Anna (Lindsay). His past works include "Star Wars: The Acolyte," "Nine Perfect Strangers" which also stars Dolly, "Top Gun: Maverick," "The Good Place," and more. —CDC, GMA Integrated News

In his post via Instagram Story, the Sparkle actor posted a selfie with Manny and wrote in the caption 'Vancouver boys' and tagged the Hollywood star. Source: michaelsager_ (IG) Michael previously shared in numerous interviews that he was born in the Philippines but flew to Canada in his formative years. Meanwhile, Manny and his family emigrated in the North American country when he was just three years old. Back in February, the PBB heartthrob told Kapuso Profiles what was his life back in Canada before he decided to pursue a career in show business in the Philippines. 'I think to briefly describe my life in Canada was pretty independent, introverted, and siguro I was still very young. I mean it was my high school years. My Canadian years were really fun for me, I learned many things.' the Kapuso actor recalled. 'One of the most important lessons though was working at a young age. I started as an ice cream scooper, eventually as a sales associate at a shoe store. And also, I got to experience to work on Disney sets, Nickelodeon sets, Netflix films as a back-up dancer. And those are some things that I cherished, because I didn't know na working within that environment, that type of work, 'yung professionalism sa Canada, is something I valued, because going here was a big experience for me.'
