Here, we turn to our experts for their predictions for the race's winner as well the who will fill out the first four places.

Hyland (Nicky Henderson)
His trainer has never been able to replicate his first National runner Zongalero, who finished second. Since, nearly a quarter of his 40 plus runners have tipped up at the first he may never get a better chance than with Hyland.
The novice chaser has no weight and, as much as the chuck water on the course to soften it up, it is drying out and having walked the course on Thursday and I reckon the ground is nearer good than soft.
That won't suit the soft ground brigade but Hyland will love it. He had a very good racing weight and Grade One form - he has just got to survive the first!

Perceval Legallois (Gavin Cromwell)
Gavin Cromwell, trainer of this year's Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin, along with owner JP McManus must have been tempted to run that horse in this year's Grand National, but the decision to keep him at home would have been made easier knowing they had Perceval Legallois entered with an excellent chance.
This eight-year-old gelding has been a slow burner over fences. Having a looked a promising staying horse over hurdles, connections decided to take a patient approach and he didn't run over three miles again until this season where his form has taken off. His win at Leopardstown in December was the perfect audition for a Grand National, dourly staying on up the run-in to win with loads in hand.
That patient approach has meant he is still unexposed over marathon trips and he is able to run on Saturday with only 10 stone 12 pounds on his back. Jockey, Mark Walsh mentioned after Perceval Legallois' latest victory he feels he has unfinished business with this horse. They can get the job done to give owner, JP McManus a record breaking fourth win in the race.

Since he won the Irish Grand National a year ago, the plan has clearly been to win the Grand National.
His handicap mark over fences has been protected by two quiet runs over hurdles this season. His only run over fences was an excellent second in the Bobby chase at Fairyhouse, cunningly after the weights for the national had been published. He ran an excellent second, form which is good enough if he stays the extra five furlongs.
Rain would not do any harm, but he should also have the class to go on better ground.

Perceval Legallois (Gavin Cromwell)
Another horse from the Cromwell stable who looks to have been laid out for this race all season. Perceval Legallois first caught the eye winning at the 2023 Dublin Racing Festival when he demolished a competitive handicap hurdle field off what, in hindsight, was a mark that far underestimated his abilities.
Hi switch to chasing has not been without its ups and downs but he this season he has slowly come to the boil, running well in the Kerry National and the Troytown before dotting up in a big-field handicap at Leopardstown over Christmas off a mark of 142. He got an 11lb hike in the weights for his trouble that day but the manner of the success suggested there could be even more to come even off a revised mark.
Switched back to hurdles at this year's Dublin Racing Festival, he again took down a big handicap in what could prove to be the perfect prep for the Grand National. The only unknown is the trip but he's bred to stay and has looked strongest at the finish in both wins this season. He has a huge chance.

Stumptown (Gavin Cromwell)
Stumptown has been excelling on the jumps and is as obvious a choice as any. The bay gelding has been rising through the ranks steadily as a force in recent years.

Jamie Martin's horse Alaskan View finished ahead of the Mullins-ridden favourite Highland Realm in the Majestic Hotel INH Flat Race at Tramore on Friday evening A teenage debutant joked he'd 'retire with a 100 per cent strike rate' after beating Patrick Mullins' horse in a flat race at Tramore. Jamie Martin made the perfect start to his career when his family's horse Alaskan View was the most straightforward in the 2m½f event at the Irish circuit. The 17-year-old had interchanged the lead with Mullins' mount Highland Realm but teenager Martin took advantage when the rival horse appeared to jump a section of the track and lose concentration. There was just half-a-length between them at the line and Martin was delighted to have mastered Grand National-winning jockey Mullins, a 17-time champion amateur rider. Martin smiled: "The plan was if I won this I'd retire with a 100 per cent strike rate but I think I'll have to keep on going!" Highland Realm is from the family of Mullins' former smart dual purpose thoroughbred Wicklow Brave, who took the 2015 County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, 2016 Irish St Leger and 2017 Punchestown Champion Hurdle. Mullins was on-board for the last of the three big wins and the ten-year-old was on-course to add the American Grand National to his record in 2019 when he sadly suffered an injury at the final hurdle. Sent off the 2-5 favourite on his first racecourse appearance, Highland Realm kept on well to press Alaskan View at the finish. But it was school pupil Martin's day and it was a real family affair as the mare was trained by his grandfather Willie and led up by his father Mick. In the same contest, Pat Breen finished third on Lord Lackendarra and his daughter Sarah was sixth on Goodmancon. Martin junior told Racing TV: "I'm just so grateful to have the likes of my father and grandfather to give me the opportunity. My brother didn't want me on the horse, but my Dad had his way. I thought I was dreaming for a second. "I was talking to a few of the lads inside and I thought I was going to be making it, but there was a bit of competition for the lead and there was three horses upsides for nearly whole first round. I was tanking along so I let Alaskan View off in front. She travelled along beautifully and heard Patrick (Mullins) coming near, but lengthened out unreal. "I thought I was going to fall off near the end but I made it! I looked across and said to Patrick 'Did I win or not?"

Soccer fans tear into 'soft' USMNT star Christian Pulisic as he defends controversial decision
Stateside soccer fans have turned on USMNT hero Christian Pulisic for his 'soft' attitude after the AC Milan star hit back at his critics. The midfielder sparked backlash earlier this year when he ruled himself out of Mauricio Pochettino 's USMNT squad for this summer's Gold Cup action after a long campaign in Italy with Milan. And, in a new nine-episode documentary following his career on Paramount+, the former Chelsea winger defended his decision - much to the ire of American soccer fans. 'It is a lot. it's hard to keep up with playing every single game,' Pulisic said. 'I mean, you see a ton of injuries. But this is how it is. This is the business. People want to see us play. 'I think it's just a decision I had to come to to do the best thing for myself and to look out for myself for once. But I think everyone has had their opinion on me and, in my opinion, just disrespected me in a lot of ways and just completely forgotten about what I've done for this national team for 10 years. It sucks.' However, after the snippet of the documentary was shared to social media, American soccer fans ripped into the 26-year-old for his 'soft' stance as they accused him of painting himself as the victim. 'I can't help but think about some of our guys on vacation, not wanting to play in the Gold Cup. It's pissing me off,' the former Everton forward said. Another player turned pundit, Alexi Lalas, also piled on Pulisic on the 'Call It What You Want' podcast on the Golazo Network 'You can talk about my performances, whatever you want, but to question my commitment, especially towards the national team, in my opinion that's way out of line,' Lalas said. Yet, Pulisic took a swipe at the legends during his documentary, branding their comments a 'cop-out'. 'I'd say the most annoying thing, and for me, the biggest cop-out of all time, is when, especially, you know, all pundits want to say: 'They didn't want it. They didn't have the heart, you know, back in our day, we would fight and we would die on that field,'' Pulisic said in the eighth episode of the docuseries, which was filmed earlier this summer. His international teammate Tim Weah backed Pulisic as he hit out at the 'evil' analysts. 'Those guys are chasing checks, and for me, I just feel like they're really evil, honestly, because they've been players, and they know what it's like when you're getting bashed,' Weah said. 'Those are the same guys that will turn around and shake your hand and try to be friendly with you.' Pochettino and the USMNT are entering a critical year as they gear up for the World Cup on home soil next year.

Tyson Fury ‘has no interest' in buying Morecambe with local club days away from National League expulsion
BOXING icon Tyson Fury has no interest in buying crisis club Morecambe, according to reports. The 105-year-old side are currently on the brink of extinction due to financial turmoil. 2 2 Jason Whittingham has failed to sell the club, resulting in player and staff wages being unpaid. The Shrimps have also suffered transfer embargos and points deductions in recent months. And in July the National League stipped Morecambe of their league membership. The club's first three fixtures of the season were subsequently postponed, with players left in limbo. Members of the squad have remained professional by turning up to training despite not being paid. However, this week they were forced to leave the practice pitches because there is no insurance to cover them if they get injured. Amid the ongoing crisis at the club, heavyweight legend Fury has been linked with a takeover. The Gypsy King has lived in Morecambe for over a decade and has his own gym located at the corner of the club's ground. Three years ago he revealed that he was considering an investment during an interview with talkSPORT. However, the Telegraph has claimed that he currently has no interest in buying the Shrimps. Fury sponsored Morecambe during the 2022-23 season, with his signature 'Gypsy King' brand featured on the club's home and away shirts.
