Home workers turn to 'easy glide' office chairs with 'fantastic back support'

As remote work becomes more and more common, having a reliable and supportive chair is crucial for daily productivity - and comfort. However, finding a chair that strikes the right balance between comfort and support can be a time-consuming task.
Fortunately, shoppers can now take advantage of various deals on Pago International chairs at Ryman. Since its UK launch in 2024, the Australian-founded Pago range has expanded to include 10 chairs, which are now available in Ryman stores nationwide.
The range includes the Pago Vega Office Chair in Black, priced at £79.99, which blends style and functionality. This chair features multiple adjustments, a high-quality seat, and a professional design that can enhance any home or office space.
Jay from Pago commented: "We're thrilled to be bringing Pago's commitment to exceptional value, comfort and ergonomic support to the UK market through our partnership with Ryman. Both our companies share core values of quality, customer satisfaction, and delivering products that genuinely improve people's daily lives."
The chair boasts an array of features, including a high-quality swivel tilt mechanism with tension control, a moulded foam seat with a waterfall front edge, a breathable air-flow mesh back, and fixed armrests to promote good posture - making it an ideal choice for those seeking a comfortable and supportive chair for day-to-day work.
For those seeking specific heights and ranges, the Pago Matrix Mesh High Back Ergonomic Office Chair is available for £129.99, boasting a heavy-duty build suitable for over eight hours of sitting, a three-lever ratchet back mechanism, a thick moulded foam seat, and a high back profile, reports the Mirror.
Alternatively, the Pago Matrix Mesh Medium Back Ergonomic Chair can be purchased for £109.99, featuring a mesh medium back, supreme support, and a three-lever mechanism.
Understandably, this chair may not be for everyone and so we've found a few alternatives that might give the brand a run for its money. The Barker High Back Fabric Operator Chair with Adjustable Arms from Furniture Work is priced at £105. It comes in grey, has an ergonomic high back operator chair design, a contoured backrest, and a large posture-curved seat.
Additionally, it includes height adjustment, back rake, and the option of fixed arms. Another choice is the Argos Home Read Mesh Office Chair for £50, which is black, has a metal frame with mesh seat pad and backrest, a swivel feature, and is lightweight at 6.7kg.
However, the Pago chairs have received high praise from customers on their website. One shopper commented, "Great chair. I have only had it a couple of weeks, and it is great. Back support, especially lower, is fantastic."
Another remarked: "Comfortable. Easy to assemble. Easy glide on carpet.
"I bought the chair a few weeks ago and have found the hair very comfortable and it meets my needs working at my desk and on my computer," another customer shared.
However, some shoppers did offer suggestions of improvement, including one who said: "One improvement if I may suggest is the back of the chair, if using it on the tallest extension for us who are on the taller side, does tend to pop and slot back down."

Famous Australian frozen yoghurt brand Yo-Chi opens in Singapore with 10 flavours and over 30 toppings

Who remembers the golden age of frozen yoghurt in Singapore? Yes, we're talking about the days when DIY froyo joints like Sogurt, Frolick, Yami Yogurt, Tutti Frutti, and Yoguru were all the rage. Well, Yo-Chi, Australia's popular frozen yoghurt chain that's now open in Singapore, might be just the thing needed to make froyo great again. The store welcomed its first customers at Orchard Central on August 15, 2025. Queues had already started forming as early as 9am, two hours ahead of the official opening. For those curious about the hype, Yo-Chi is a Melbourne-based brand born in 2012, with over 30 locations across Australia. This new store in Orchard Central is its first international outlet. The brand is known for its fun, self-serve concept that lets customers customise their own froyo or acai cups. Yo-Chi Singapore offers acai and nine frozen yoghurt flavours: cookies and cream, salted butterscotch, signature tart, mango, strawberry cream, matcha, classic vanilla, chocolate and coconut. On the toppings counter, you'll find a dizzying array of around 35 toppings, ranging from freshly cut fruits and compotes to jellies, popping pearls, mochi, candies and various sauces. Some, like the coconut jelly and nata de coco, are even exclusive to Singapore. These toppings will also rotate seasonally. Each cup is priced at $3.50 per 100 grams, and don't worry, the paper cups are tared. Ours, which was filled to the brim with matcha and strawberry cream yoghurt, popping pearls and mochi, came up to be about 368 grams ($12.88). If you prefer your froyo plain, the signature tart, which is Yo-Chi's original flavour, is a must-try. It's creamier and milkier than most frozen yoghurts we've tried, with none of that icy, watery texture. That's because Yo-Chi uses real Australian cows' milk instead of powder for its yoghurt, which also happens to be 98 per cent fat-free and packed with healthy probiotics. The signature tart is one of the brand's three OG (and gluten-free) flavours, with the others being classic vanilla and salted butterscotch. Since it's a DIY concept, you can mix and match as many flavours as you like. The mango is a hot favourite, made with the real fruit. Meanwhile, the cookies and cream, strawberry cream and matcha flavours are on the lighter side, while chocolate and salted butterscotch are richer and more indulgent. Those going entirely dairy-free can opt for acai instead – Yo-Chi is the first to bring the self-serve acai concept to Singapore. The store is also one of only three Yo-Chi outlets to feature a Nutella fountain near the checkout – that's right, Nutella on tap. At the checkout counter, you'll also spot a range of merchandise, including Yo-Chi KeepCup Go Bowls for planet-friendly froyo runs. And make sure to look out for the brand's adorable koala bear mascot welcoming you at the entrance.

Accenture to buy Australian cybersecurity firm CyberCX for reported $650 mln

Aug 14 (Reuters) - Accenture (ACN.N), opens new tab said on Thursday it will buy Australian cybersecurity firm CyberCX in its largest-ever deal in the sector, with the Australian Financial Review valuing the transaction at more than A$1 billion ($650 million). A wave of devastating cyberattacks has battered Australia, including a 2022 breach at telecom major Optus that exposed the personal data of up to 10 million users, and a hack on health insurer Medibank affecting nearly 10 million customers. In July, Qantas Airways disclosed that criminals had infiltrated one of its call centres, accessing personal information of six million customers. Private equity firm BGH Capital, which is selling CyberCX, has not disclosed any financial terms. Accenture declined to provide additional details, while BGH Capital didn't respond to Reuters' requests for comment on the reported valuation. The deal underscores the surging demand for advanced digital security services as businesses worldwide face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats that disrupt operations and compromise sensitive data. Melbourne-based CyberCX was formed in 2019 through the merger of 12 smaller cybersecurity firms backed by BGH Capital. The company now employs about 1,400 people and runs security operations centres across Australia and New Zealand, with offices in London and New York. CyberCX is led by John Paitaridis, formerly managing director of Optus Business, and Chief Strategy Officer Alastair MacGibbon, Australia's former national cybersecurity coordinator. The leadership's ties to Optus are notable, given the telecommunications company's 2022 data breach, which exposed names, birth dates, addresses, phone numbers, email contacts and passport and driver's license numbers. Since 2015, Accenture has completed 20 security acquisitions, including recent purchases of Brazilian cyber defense firm Morphus, MNEMO Mexico and Spain-based Innotec Security. On the domestic front, the firm entered into a $700 million collaborative agreement with Telstra in February, aiming to implement AI capabilities across the telecommunications company.
