In the sixth inning, with St. Louis leading 3-2, Royals' second baseman Jonathan India made a mistake, that ended up loading the bases. That one mistake gave the Cardinals a big chance, and they made the most of it.

, who has been playing great since coming back from an injury on May 9, hit a double that scored three runs. His hit helped the Cardinals take control of the game, and they went on to win 10-3. It was their 11th win in the last 12 games.
Cole Ragans leaves early due to groin tightness
Meanwhile, Kansas City Royals pitcher Cole Ragans found himself in a tough spot during the game. Ragans had to leave Friday's game against the Cardinals in the sixth inning because of tightness in his left groin.
After Ragans left, the Cardinals scored more runs and made it 7-2.
He had been an All-Star for the first time last season and had already missed a game earlier this month due to a similar groin issue.
This season, Ragans had a 2-2 record and a 4.20 ERA in eight starts before this game.
Cardinals' change in current roster
The Kansas City Royals got outfielder Dairon Blanco back on Friday before their series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Blanco was out since March 31 with an Achilles injury but did well during his rehab, getting 8 hits and scoring 7 runs in 12 games. To make space on the roster, the Royals placed pitcher Taylor Clarke on the paternity list.
