While there's a clear discrepancy in the two teams records as the Fever sit 10-10, while Wings are 6-15, it set to be the first head-to-head matchup at the professional level between Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers.
The two almost met earlier this season in Dallas, but Clark was sidelined with a quad injury at the time. Now, for the first time since the 2024 NCAA Tournament, two of the brightest young stars will face off and they both arrived in style ahead of the showdown.
Clark arrived in a stylish all white suite, matching from head-to-toe with wide bottom pants on, while Bueckers took a more casual look with light blue jeans and oversized green and yellow long sleeve.
"Caitlin Clark & Paige Bueckers have entered the chat," WNBA posted. "Game 1 of their pro rivalry starts now!"

Fans reacted to their pregame looks:
"Only one of these walks gives off championship vibes," a fan said.
Someone else added, "I love this match-up! 2 great players. It will be a good game. HOOPS!"
Another fan wrote, "Paige is so fresh."
"the difference in their outfits. never change baby goat," one more fan commented.
So far this season, both Clark and Bueckers have had stellar campaigns, despite Clark missing a handful of time due to a quad and a groin injury.
Bueckers is the run away favorite to win Rookie of the Year, currently averaging 18.1 points, 5.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals, while Clark averages 16.9 points, 8.6 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.

Cowboys 'Built to Stay Relevant, Not Challenge' In 2025

Cowboys 'Built to Stay Relevant, Not Challenge' In 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Dallas Cowboys like to "hang around the rim" when it comes to contention, and coming into the 2025 season, Brian Schottenheimer's team, for some, is nowhere near it. Advertisement Granted, others are more bullish on Dallas' chances with the sweeping coaching changes and personnel that have walked through the door, but right now, it is hard to get a proper read on what the Cowboys will be. The big addition was George Pickens, who we think was a dart throw worth taking, even if others think otherwise, given what it could do for Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox likes the move to, but when looking at Dallas' offseason in totality, he has a rather brutal take. 'I like the fact that Dallas finally got itself a No. 2 receiver, even if I don't love how the team went about doing it," Know wrote. "Trading for George Pickens in a contract year was a major risk, but, at least, Dak Prescott will have more than one threatening perimeter target—assuming he can stay healthy this season. Advertisement "I feel better about the Cowboys than I did at the end of the draft, and far better than I felt about them last offseason. However, I still feel like this is a team that is built to stay relevant and not one built to challenge for a championship." Brian Schottenheimer And The Super BowlBy Tony Fisher Now, Knox isn't necessarily wrong when he says the Cowboys are built to stay relevant, because it doesn't matter how good or bad the team is or what else is going on in the NFL world, Dallas is always in the conversation, or "above the fold" if you will, headlining TV shows, talk shows, podcasts and everything in between. But we know Schottenheimer's team has a real chance of being more relevant than last season's team. The moves made on both sides of the ball have given fans a small air of confidence heading to Oxnard, with the run game still so-so until we see otherwise. Advertisement However, when looking back on Dallas' offseason, you can't help but be impressed with what's been accomplished. Now, that has to translate to on-field success, and not just hanging around the rim to stay relevant. Eagles' Nick Sirianni Issues Defiant Response to Jalen Hurts Narrative

Eagles' Nick Sirianni Issues Defiant Response to Jalen Hurts Narrative originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Philadelphia Eagles are entering the 2025 NFL season as defending champions. Last season, Nick Sirianni, Jalen Hurts, and company went on an impressive run that ended with defeating Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Advertisement Despite the run that Hurts led, the quarterback has continually received criticism. Whether that criticism has to do with his overall skill-set, simply being a game manager, or something else, the media has not given him the respect he deserves. Sirianni has heard enough of the narrative that Hurts is only a game manager. He has now fired back with a defiant response to that line of thinking. As shared by NBC Sports Philadelphia, Sirianni did not hold back his thoughts about that Hurts storyline. 'Yeah,' Sirianni said. 'That's (expletive).' He continued on, expounding on why he completely dismisses the critics who believe that about his quarterback. Advertisement 'I mean, he plays the most important position in all sports,' Sirianni said. 'And it's the most ultimate team game there is. And what I admire about him is his selflessness of doing anything we need to do to win. I mean, obviously, anybody who plays quarterback is going to want to throw it 50 times a game. But he'll do anything. If he has to throw 50 times a game, he's ready to do that. If he has to hand it off 50 times a game, he's ready to do that.' That wasn't all that the Eagles' head coach had to say. 'Anytime, I hear that, it's cool, it's like a nice debate thing that people like to have,' Sirianni said. 'And I get it, there's a lot of hours that TV shows and radio stations have to fill to be able to fill that debate. I understand that, but we're talking about the ultimate team game there is and he does whatever he needs to do to win each and every game.' During the 2024 NFL season with Philadelphia, Hurts played in 15 games. He completed 68.7% of his pass attempts for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions, while also running for 630 yards and 14 more touchdowns. Advertisement While the 26-year-old quarterback may not put up the most gaudy passing numbers, the Eagles would not have won a Super Bowl without him last season. It's about time for fans and the media to put more respect on Hurts' name. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 14, 2025, where it first appeared.
