"Final Destination 7" in Works with "Bloodlines" Writer
Yara Sameh A seventh 'Final Destination' movie is in the works at New Line with 'Bloodlines' co-writer Lori Evans Taylor returning to pen the new entry. Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich also return to produce the Warner Bros. and New Line movie with Warren Zide executive producing. "Final Destination" was a surprise hit franchise for New Line in the early 2000s, with a concept that proved easy to transfer from movie to movie, locale to locale, victim to unwitting victim. Each movie centered on a character who has a premonition of a horrific and deadly event. They cheat his or her own death and save several other lives in the process, only to have Death, personified as an unstoppable force of nature, come for the survivors one by one. 'Final Destination: Bloodlines,' the sixth movie in the 25-year-old horror franchise, opened at No. 1 at the global box office this May. With a $51 million domestic debut, the movie achieved the best opening weekend in the series to date. By the end of its theatrical run, the pic became the franchise's highest-grossing film, with a $286 million global haul. Overall, the feath-driven franchise has earned over $983 million worldwide, making it New Line's third-biggest horror series behind 'The Conjuring' universe ($2.3 billion) and the 'It' movies ($1.2 billion). read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

"The Batman 2" to Begin Shooting Next Spring
Yara Sameh Good news for fans of Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight. In Warner Bros. Discovery's recent letter to shareholders, the company announced that Matt Reeves' long-awaited 'The Batman Part II' will finally begin filming in spring 2026 for an October 2027 theatrical release. Pattinson, who's gone from filming Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' to Denis Villeneuve's 'Dune: Part Three' this year alone, returns in the title role. Warner Bros. Discovery's shareholder letter celebrated the recent success of James Gunn's 'Superman,' which kicked off the new DC Universe across film and television. The tentpole has earned nearly $550 million and counting worldwide. The company wrote: 'DC Studio's universe of characters represents not only one of Warner Bros. Discovery's most valuable pieces of intellectual property, but one of the most valuable assets in entertainment.' 'In film, James Gunn is busy preparing the next installments of the DC super family, including 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow' (2026), 'Clayface' (2026) and the next 'Wonder Woman.' In addition, 'The Batman II' (2027) is preparing to begin shooting next spring, among several other projects in development. The 10-year vision for the DC universe also includes an exciting array of television projects, including 'The Penguin,' the upcoming new season of 'Peacemaker,' and the debut of 'Lanterns' in 2026. In a precise and measured way, the DC franchise will increasingly overlay across the studio's broader efforts: from film and TV to consumer products, games, experiences and social.' Fans have been waiting years for a sequel to Reeves and Pattinson's 'The Batman,' which opened in theaters in March 2022 and grossed $772 million at the worldwide box office. It has been a long development road for 'The Batman' sequel, which Warner Bros. delayed last year from October 2, 2026 to October 1, 2027. On June 27, Warner Bros. confirmed that Reeves and finally completed the script. While 'The Batman' sequel will now open more than five years after the original, Gunn has often defended the delay on social media by writing: 'To be fair, a 5-year gap or more is fairly common in sequels. 7 years between 'Alien' and 'Aliens.' 14 years between 'Incredibles.' 7 years between the first two 'Terminators.' 13 years between 'Avatars.' 36 years between 'Top Guns.' And, of course, 6 years between 'Guardians Vol 2' and 'Vol 3.'' 'Matt [Reeves] is committed to making the best film he possibly can, and no one can accurately guess exactly how long a script will take to write,' Gunn added in a separate post. 'Once there is a finished script, there is around two years for pre-production, shooting and post-production on big films.' Gunn's rule at the new DC Studios is that no movie will move forward into the pre-production and production processes until the screenplay is finished, unlike Marvel Studios where movies often enter production with the script still taking shape. Gunn said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this summer that fans should have patience when it comes to getting sequels made. 'People should get off Matt's nuts because it's like, let the guy write the screenplay in the amount of time he needs to write it,' Gunn said then about 'The Batman' sequel. 'That's just the way it is. He doesn't owe you something because you like his movie. I mean, you like his movie because of Matt. So let Matt do things the way he does.' Gunn added, 'I am irritated by people. I mean, it's just that thing people don't need to be entitled about. It's going to come out when he feels good about the screenplay. And Matt's not going to give me the screenplay until he feels good about the screenplay.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

The Warrens Face Their First Demon and Annabelle in "Conjuring: Last Rites" Final Trailer
Yara Sameh The final trailer has been unveiled for the last Conjuring film, and it sees the Warrens facing a familiar demon. Following the first trailer, which was released in May, Warner Bros. dropped the new and final trailer for "The Conjuring: Last Rites" on Thursday. The fourth Conjuring entry follows Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) as they take on the Smurl case, which involved a family that was tormented by a demon for more than a decade, inspired by a true story. In the trailer, the demon was one the Warrens had previously encountered. 'There's something in the attic. Ed, there's an evil here. Something I've felt before,' Lorraine says. 'This thing in your house is a demon. It's the first one that we've ever encountered. We were young. We were scared. We ran away. And after all these years, it wasn't done with our family.' Moreover, a blink and you miss it, but the Annabelle doll also appears in the footage and toward the end, Lorraine is chased by what appears to be a possessed man while Ed is trying to rescue her. Annabelle was introduced in the Conjuring universe in the first film of the same name, which was directed by James Wan and released in 2013. The haunted doll appeared in more of the franchise's films, including the spinoffs "Annabelle" (2014), "Annabelle: Creation" (2017), and "Annabelle Comes Home" (2019). Mia Tomlinson plays Judy Warren, Ed and Lorraine Warren's daughter and Ben Hardy, who plays her boyfriend (now husband), Tony Spera. Steve Coulter, Elliot Cowan, Rebecca Calder, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, Shannon Kook, and John Brotherton round out the cast. Michael Chaves returns to direct the entry. Wan and Peter Safran also return as producers. Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick wrote the script.
