Shah Rukh Khan went shopping for Adnan Sami after knowing he didn't have warm clothes: ‘I used to wear Hawaiin shirts and nothing else'

Every person who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan has a story to share. This time, it is singer Adnan Sami. In a recent interview, Sami recalled how Shah Rukh once went shopping for him. He shared that they were scheduled to shoot an ad together in Venice, where it was supposed to be summer. However, a sudden change in weather brought unexpected cold.
'We were shooting in Venice. It was summers. I used to wear Hawaiin shirts and nothing else. We all had come prepared for summers. And out of nowhere, Venice decided to go on a massive cold spell. It suddenly started raining. The weather went for a complete toss,' the singer told Bollywood Bubble.
He added, 'The temperature came down drastically. In Venice, because of water and all, there is a tremendous tunnel effect. Every time we travelled through those lanes, there was a lot of wind. I was dressed up in summer clothes–Hawaiin shirts and Bermuda shorts. When SRK saw me, he was like, 'Oh My God, you are going to catch cold.''

Adnan Sami revealed Shah Rukh Khan was also the producer of the ad besides featuring in it. He shared, 'I was tired from all the travel, and ready to crash. He asked me, 'I hope you have something warm.' I was like, 'No. I thought it was summers.' He said, 'No, it is going to be very cold.' I slept off because of the jetlag. He was so sweet that he simply went and bought a whole bunch of jackets. Hats off to him that he was able to get something of my size. This was very touching and thoughtful.'
Just two years ago, speaking to the same publication, the singer had shared, 'I was supposed to be wearing a signature Hawaiian kind of a shirt. Colourful, summery… that was my outfit. That's the way the designers had made my clothes but it was cold. He (Shah Rukh) knew that. On the day that I arrived, he went out shopping and suddenly I got a knock on the door and he said, 'You know what, it's very cold outside. I got you some sweaters.' I was very touched by that.'
He added that Shah Rukh Khan didn't have to do all that but yet he did. 'It speaks a lot about the person.'

Suhana Shares Childhood Photo, Gauri Khan Calls SRK A ‘Favourite' After National Award Win

Suhana & Gauri Khan react to Shah Rukh Khan's first National Award win for Jawan. Emotional tributes, childhood memories, and proud moments shared online. After an illustrious career spanning over three decades, Shah Rukh Khan has finally clinched his first-ever National Film Award — and it's a moment his family isn't letting pass quietly. The superstar has been honoured with the Best Actor award at the 71st National Film Awards for his powerful dual role in the 2023 blockbuster Jawan. He shares the title with Vikrant Massey, who was equally lauded for his moving performance in 12th Fail. Marking this historic win, both Suhana Khan and Gauri Khan took to social media to express their love, pride, and joy. Suhana shared a heartwarming black-and-white throwback photo on Instagram, where a younger Shah Rukh is seen carrying her in his arms. Alongside the image, she wrote, 'From bedtime stories to stories that leave a mark, no one tells them like you. Congratulations. Love you the most ❤️." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Suhana Khan (@suhanakhan2) Meanwhile, Gauri Khan posted a celebratory carousel that featured candid moments with Shah Rukh, Rani Mukerji, and Karan Johar. In one picture, SRK is seen planting a kiss on Rani's cheek. Gauri captioned the post, 'Three of my absolute favourites just WON big… and so did our hearts ❤️ When talent meets goodness, magic happens — so proud, and so ready to brag about them forever! 💕" View this post on Instagram A post shared by Gauri Khan (@gaurikhan) Her caption also alludes to the wins by Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar. Rani took home the Best Actress award for her powerful portrayal in Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway, while Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani bagged two major honours — Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and Best Choreography for Dhindhora Baje Re, awarded to Vaibhavi Merchant. The 71st National Film Awards, announced on August 1, recognised cinematic brilliance from 2023. And for Shah Rukh Khan, the accolade marks a new milestone in a career filled with iconic performances. In Jawan, directed by Atlee, SRK essayed a gripping double role — as jailer-turned-vigilante Azad and his mysterious father Vikram Rathore. The film tackled urgent social issues like corruption, farmer suicides, and government apathy, all while delivering high-octane action and emotion-packed drama. The film became a box office phenomenon, and Khan's performance was hailed for its intensity, emotional depth, and mass appeal — finally earning him the national recognition his fans always believed he deserved. From being the king of hearts to now officially a National Award-winning actor, Shah Rukh Khan's latest win is being celebrated by not just fans, but by those closest to him — and their pride says it all.
