27 Chewy Products That Make Life Easier For Pet Owners
Promising review: "I'm happy I got this scratching post. I needed a scratching post that my big orange cat wouldn't pull over when he used it. Not only is the tall cactus a good size for him, but the base is wide (and heavy) enough that it stays standing when he uses it. Putting the pieces together was easy. It only took a few minutes. As a bonus, while most scratching posts are ugly, this one is not. I wish more cat furniture was this cute and not embarrassing to have out on display in my house." –jenmbPrice: $22.99+ (available in three sizes)
Or a heavy duty 76-inch cat tree, if your cat is plagued with boredom and needs a place to rest, scratch, and play that isn't on you or your furniture.
Promising review: "I was looking for a cat tree that was big enough to handle grown adult cats. Most cat trees I saw featured young little kittens in their pictures, and you can tell many cat trees are just too small to hold an adult cat comfortably. This cat tree is perfect. The size is great — so roomy and spacious! And so sturdy, the quality is amazing. Considering all of this, the price is unbeatable. I would recommend this cat tree in a heartbeat! My kitties love it!" –LeobPrice: $144 (available in two colors)
An aquarium filter for removing ammonia and nitrates from tank water so your turtles and fish stay nice and healthy. That means you can spend less time cleaning their tank and more time watching them dilly-dally around.
Promising review: "We used two other filter systems before buying this one, and it did the trick for us! Crystal clear water." –TrishPrice: $108.99 (originally $119.39)

The set includes a hair clipper, manual, four limit combs, adapter, a cleaning brush, and lubricating oil.Promising review: "This cutting machine is exactly what I needed. It has strong, consistent power, cuts precisely without pulling. It comes well-equipped with several guide combs, a charging cable, a brush, and oil. Additionally, the ergonomic design makes it very comfortable to use throughout the entire cut. Easy to clean and perfect for both personal and professional use. Definitely a great purchase for its quality and price!" –AshleyPrice: $49.99

Promising review: "Fleas became a big problem this spring for the indoor/outdoor cat that adopted me. Unable to get him to a vet, I had to rely on over-the-counter RX. Chewy helped me out when the first product was a bust. With Advantage, the cat stopped scratching almost immediately, and my sanity returned. It's been three weeks now, and I still see no fleas." –FurMom14Price: $16.98+ per dose (available in three dosages)
Some immune system bites for dogs that are packed with wild-caught Alaskan salmon and probiotics, so your dog stays healthy between vet visits.

Furthermore, he thinks he's getting a daily treat and is so excited when I offer him his daily dose. I highly recommend Aller-Immune Bites!" –CharliePrice: $32.97 for 90 (available in three flavors and four quantities)
An artfully designed elevated cat bed sure to fit with your mid-century modern aesthetic perfectly and help contain cat fur to their bed instead of... everywhere else in your house.
Promising review: "All three of our cats love this bed. We have more than enough cat furniture, but I purchased this because I thought the materials would be kinder to the longhairs' fur. Carpeted cat beds tend to mat their fur. This bed does not, as the materials are soft and smooth. This little bed is well-made, sturdy, and the cushion is machine washable in cold water; air dry. I would purchase this again, as it is a quality product." –FoldMom Price: $39.99

These are absolutely the best; I've been buying these for about five years now, and they do not wear out. We only reorder them because he loses them in the river or buries them and they can't be found for a few years! Promising review: "Our pup hated the normal brush. It took two of us to brush him — one to hold him awkwardly while he squirmed and one to try to brush whatever we could reach. These gloves are a game changer. I started petting him with them while he chewed on a toy and he even seemed to enjoy it! They work great for getting all the hair out, too — better than a brush. He has an undercoat and looked like a new dog when I was done." —AlisonPrice: $24.98 (originally $29.99; available in sizes Junior—XL and three colors)
A cat harness with extra-strong Velcro that gently secures even the squirmiest of cat explorers. It's super soft and made from cotton with an undyed lining that's good for cats with allergies.

I think they're just the right size for them to feel cozy and safe. The two entry points are really handy too. I love that they fold flat for storage, too, since my apartment is pretty small. Would highly recommend!" —KatePrice: $47.99 (originally $73.99; available in sizes M—L and two colors)

I highly recommend this." —HeidiPrice: $24.95

At first, my cat wasn't a huge fan of it because of the faucet piece. Once I removed it, he was obsessed. Both of my cats love it. Once you remove the faucet, you can sort of hear the water running, but it's a peaceful sound, not annoying at all. Literally like a waterfall lol. I'd recommend it to anyone! I've had it for a month and haven't experienced a single issue, super easy to put together as well." —MyaPrice: $39.99

Dog missing since Lancaster floods found
LANCASTER, Ohio (WCMH) – A dog that went missing after flooding in Lancaster over the weekend has been found. After four days on the run, Scooby Doo, owned by Kathryn Horvath and family, was found in a trap set by rescuers. Scooby was among more than 30 that were removed from FIDO, the Finishing Institute for Dog Owners, on Sunday as floodwaters tore into the building. However, Scooby became spooked by the situation, bit two firefighters, and ran off. Columbus to get pro spring football team in 2026, will play at Historic Crew Stadium ' Scooby Has Been Found!' FIDO posted to social media. ' We are thrilled to share that Scooby has been found and safe with his family!' Detailed on social media, the community rallied around Horvath and her family, reporting sightings of Scooby over the four days he was missing. 'He's a scared dog,' she told NBC4 earlier this week. 'He's also a big alarm, even when he is not scared. So, yeah, he took that as opportunity out of fear.' While details haven't been released on where Scooby was found, photos posted to FIDO's social media show the 35-pound Shar Pei being carried from a wooded area in a metal trap. Other pictures show the happy dog and Horvath reunited, everyone with a big smile on their faces. World's largest rubber duck to splash back into Ohio this weekend 'A huge thank you to everyone who reached out, shared posts, and helped search for him,' FIDO posted. 'Your kindness and support made all the difference. Our community truly shines in moments like these! Welcome home, Scooby! Shoutout to the Fairfield County Dog Shelter and Dr Libby Kinsel and her team for helping us!' FIDO suffered severe damage during the flooding this past weekend. Several fundraisers, including a GoFundMe page and a month-long event at a local brewery, are among the ways the community is rallying around the business. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. I Pledge Allegiance To These 28 Products
A lightweight firming gel cream from Nivea because your friends may think you have a filter on your skin. (That seriously happened for one reviewer!) With consistent use, you may notice plumper, firmer, more moisturized skin, thanks in part to a superhero ingredient called Q10. A teeth-whitening pen that'll be a heck of a lot quicker (and taste a lot better) than those irritating whitening strips that slip and slide all over your teeth. You can use each pen ~20 times and should expect your teeth to lighten 4–8 shades. A pack of foaming garbage disposal cleaners to deodorize your sink ASAP, because if you have to smell last week's rotting veggie peels for one more minute you just might scream. A Scumbug for slurping up all the oils, sunscreen, and yuckies that are chilling in your pool. Just wring it out when it gets discolored, give it a rinse, and pop it back in the pool. A pre-swim hair cream if you plan to spend all year round in your pool but don't want your mane to look like a dry, tangled mess. This cream protects your tresses from chlorine and can help prevent blonde hair from turning green. A portable heating pad with three massage modes so you can help alleviate period cramps (reviewers with endometriosis rave about this gadget). And — BAM! — you can also flip it around for some targeted relief if you have back pain. A cuticle oil because too many gel manis have destroyed your nails. Sweet almond oil, vitamin E, and jojoba soften the cuticle and strengthen your claws so you'll be proud to show them off. And a nail concealer that'll subtly hide yellowing and staining on your nails. A salmon oil you can use as a dog food topper to add some omega fatty acids to Fido's diet that may help make their coat soft and shiny, reduce dry skin and itchiness, potentially relieve allergies, and support their immune system. A waterproof trash can for collecting the inevitable garbage that appears during school pickups and drop-offs, long car rides, and road trips. And speaking of trash, a garbage guard if your backyard is a mess of flies. 🤢 It sticks to the inside of your garbage can and releases an odorless vapor that prevents buggies for up to four months. A pair of athletic shorts so you can fool everyone into thinking you got the cutest new flowy mini skirt and then surprise them when you "flash" them to show the built-in shorts. A time-saving fruit and veggie divider because quartering grapes by no thank you!! Parents swear this thing is so convenient because it easy enough and safe enough for their kiddos to use — and the little ones find it fun to use too! A slow feeder insert that'll draw out mealtime and help reduce your pet's risk of choking, gagging, post-meal vomiting, and bloating. It uses suction to stick right to the food bowl and can be washed and reused at every meal. A WD-40 pen (A pen! Genius!) to enjoy the squeak-quieting, hinge-lubricating, rust-preventing powers that you know and love from traditional WD-40 but in an easy-to-maneuver precise pen tip. A color-changing moisture indicator for anyone staring at their sad, droopy, wilting, or dead plants, wondering where they went wrong. Over- and underwatering is often the culprit, and this water reader will change color to let you know when the soil is moist or ready for a drink. A ceiling fan carbon filter for grabbing dust, pollen, smoke, dander, and other allergens as the fan spins. It sticks to the fan blade and is unnoticeable — but you may notice the difference in the air! Some restorative wipes so you can rehab front doors and shutters that are looking cloudy and grimy. These wipes are saturated with a solution that revives oxidized, faded, and sun-damaged surfaces bumpers, siding, mailboxes, grills, garden tools, painted surfaces, and more. A box of dust-trapping sheets because they promise to pick up the pet hair, your hair, dirt, dust, and sand your vacuums, brooms, and dusters. It works on pretty much all the spots that mess likes to collect, and you can even use it in conjunction with a Swiffer, mop, or telescoping handle to clean surfaces high and low. A Tub Topper to make bathtime a drier — but no less fun — affair. It attaches with suction cups to the lip of the tub and acts as a splash guard, toy tray, and a fun zone, thanks to the flat surface, which allows for play. A peel-and-stick puzzle saver sheets if you picked up puzzles as a quarantine hobby and never stopped. Don't you hate finishing a puzzle and then not having a good way to save it? Enter: these genius sheets, which adhere to the back of your puzzle so it stays together and can properly framed, hung, and enjoyed. A poolside organizer so you can break up with the flimsy mesh and brittle plastic organizers you've been using to corral all the inflatables, pool noodles, skimmers and brushes, goggles, arm floaties, and swim caps you've accumulated — to little success. A box of disposable face towels because 1) there could be bacteria on your regular face towels (yes, even if you let them air dry), and 2) there could be fabric softener buildup on the towel that's irritating your skin. Disposable face towels may be a more sanitary option for ya, and reviewers say they're large enough and absorbent enough that you can cut 'em in half to make the box last longer. A Trtl travel pillow that'll cushion your neck and keep it upright — which is the best position to prevent neck pain. Plus, your neighbors will silently thank you because it means you're not flopping your head from side to side and onto their shoulders. A no-rinse dog paw cleaner to spare you from having to herd your dog into the shower (which they hate) *or* whip out your mop to clean up muddy paw prints that always follow a trip to the dog park. This cleaner has a built-in brush head whose soft bristles help loosen dirt so you can easily wipe their paws clean. A flight attendant-approved off-shoulder jumpsuit comfy enough for traveling (and snoozing) yet stylish enough for wearing out multiple times during your trip — even if your trip is just from your bed to the couch. A ~wooly~ adorable shaved sheep plushie that sheds its coat at the slide of a zipper. A steam cleaner grill brush because McSteamy over here is gonna loosen that burger grease and hot dog char that is gunking up your grill grates. This is machine washable and uses insulation (not electricity) to remain warm. Promising review: "My senior cat and my younger cat both took to these almost immediately. I bought a few so they could each have one and will likely buy more as well to put in other rooms. We have really cold winters and they're both obsessed with laying in front of the space heater, but I didn't want to leave it on all the time for them so when I found this, I figured it was worth a shot. I felt the pad where my cat was laying for a while and it was warm, so it works as intended." —MGet it from Amazon for $10.99 (available in two colors). A heated water bowl for animals who reside outside, i.e. stray cats, chickens, pigs, goats, etcetera. This keeps water liquid and prevents it from freezing. Promising review: "At first I was a little skeptical in purchasing this heated bowl for my chickens but this bowl works great. It keeps the water from freezing and I live in Wisconsin, so the winters can be brutal. I have seven chickens and they seem to really like getting some warm water." —Amazon Customer Get it from Amazon for $22.99. But once she took that first crunchy bite, it was game over — she's absolutely hooked! Now, these treats are her go-to favorite. She'll sit, stay, and maybe even do a backflip if it means getting one. The 14-ounce tub is the perfect size to keep her tail wagging without running out too soon. He has ripped up other toys, but not his beloved duck. He has had it for a few months now and brings it everywhere around the house with him, even sleeps snuggled up with it. I don't know why dogs seem to love this toy so much, but I would highly recommend purchasing." —KristenGet one from Amazon for $7.90. Promising reviews: "We were skeptical at first because the dogs weren't quite sure about them, but we can't let ourselves be caught without them now. Our 9-year-old male Australian Cattle Dog likes them occasionally, but our two under-a-year females love them, fight over them, and even fall asleep chewing on them!We especially like these smaller-sized pieces because the longer ones we got before seemed to lose favor with the dogs after a while, but these they can finish and not leave for me to find in strange places." —Danny Scarbro"I have a very easily bored, mischief-prone Australian shepherd-poodle mix, and these are a godsend. They don't stink, she loves them, they last far longer than other edible chew toys, and she remains interested in them all the way to the end. An anxiety jacket that applies gentle pressure for quasi-hug, helping to keep pups calm during stressful situations: flights, car rides, thunderstorms, etcetera. Reviewers especially love this for Fourth of July (and the fireworks that come with it). Promising review: "This is my first Fourth of July with my rescue dog, and I didn't know how she was going to react to fireworks. I bought this ahead of time just in case, and I'm so glad I did. She started shaking and panting as soon as they started going off. I put this on her and she almost immediately stopped trembling, and now she is asleep! I honestly had my doubts that something so simple would work." —weezGet it from Amazon for $39.99+ (available in seven sizes and two colors). A Dash dog-treat maker that functions like its waffle maker counterpart: simply plug it in, fill with batter, and et voila, the button will shine green when ready. A hair-removing glove that is the best kind of grooming tactic. Why? All you'll have to do is give your doggo some pets and they'll be snoring before you know it. Promising review: "My dog has long fur (double coat) and she tolerates it when I use the slicker brush, but she actually relaxed and settled in when I brushed her with this. The only drawback, which wasn't enough to take off a whole star, is that the velcro has sharp corners and pokes my wrist a little when I move around. That won't stop me from using it, though, because my dog gives it two enthusiastic paws up." —TerpsichoreGet it from Amazon for $7.99. However, I don't think she's quite clever enough to get them out of the burrow. My kitten is the one who retrieves the bees, and the dog gets excited to steal them from her! Overall, I love this for both of my fur babies." —scarevansGet it from Target for $11.69. A cave bed if your pooch is anything like mine and demands to be covered on a whim but can't quite burrow under a blanket. This is the no-frills solution they've been waiting for you to buy. Promising review: "We bought this bed about a month ago for our boxer mix. She gets very chilly in the winters, even in the south. From day one she has loved this bed. She dive rolls into it. The added bonus is that she now prefers to sleep in what we call her 'taco' and doesn't jump in our bed at all anymore. So all of us are sleeping better." —ShellyATLGet it from Amazon for $39.59+ (available in two sizes). A 2-in-1 burrow and snuffle toy made with two hidden squeaking fishbones and a treat pocket in the trout's belly, ideal for energetic dogs who expect you to throw their toy over and over when it's covered in slobber. Promising review: "Our dog brings his trout toy everywhere with him. We constantly fill the pouch (fish guts!) with fun snacks, and he can spend a long time trying to 'fish' them out (pun intended). Really durable toy too, and has outlasted so far many other toys that get less regular use. Definitely recommend to all other dog owners out there!" —Manuel C. Get it from Lambwolf Collective for $32. A plush couch liner equipped with a leakproof, nonslip heating pad to keep 'em warm when the landlord refuses to raise the heat to a reasonable temperature. A portable paw cleaner to avoid dragging the remnants of icky winter weather into your clean home. Just add a little water, put each paw inside to be scrubbed by the silicone bristles, and that's it. Clean paws within seconds and helps your pooch avoid bath time. A bag of handmade pill pockets for small animals because let's face it: there's nothing more frustrating than seeing your lil' critter — like a guinea pig, rabbit, or chinchilla — spit out the (very expensive) medicine that their vet prescribed. This makes the whole ordeal easy-easy. No Furries Delights is a Canada-based small business run by two sisters with a passion for handmade healthy pet reviews: "Our bunny absolutely LOVES these. He always took treats from us before, but if we have any Binky chips, he gets more affectionate, sitting on our laps and giving us finger kisses. We have our bun on a digestive vitamin, and giving him one or two of these every other day has helped him. Love them and we are 100% buying them again!" —Ashley it from No Furries Delights on Etsy for $7.39+ (available in two sizes) A magic link leash that can be worn as belt, a crossbody, or around your wrist, which is great because a: it means they won't be able to run off and b: will prevent you from pulling their collar.
