Hugh Jackman found himself in a chaotic scene in New York City (NYC) this week when a crowd of fans swarmed him after rehearsal, prompting him to jump into a stranger's car. What started as a few selfies quickly turned into a frenzy outside Radio City Music Hall, and ended with Jackman hilariously seeking help from someone nearby.
After finishing a rehearsal for his From New York, With Love concert series at Radio City Music Hall, Hugh Jackman stepped out into what quickly turned into a fan frenzy on the streets of NYC.
Video footage that's now going viral shows Jackman doing his best to keep things friendly. He smiled, signed autographs, and posed for selfies with dozens of fans packed tightly around him. However, as the crowd grew larger and more engaging, it became clear that reaching his car or any private area would be a challenge.
At first, he tried to walk away, thanking fans and weaving through the crowd. 'Thank you,' he said politely as he picked up his pace. But fans kept chasing him, phones out and cameras rolling. Then, Jackman spotted a car nearby, walked up to it, and casually asked the driver, 'How you doing, brother? Where you going?'
Before anyone could fully process what was happening, he climbed into the back seat of the stranger's vehicle and made his escape from the street mob.
Fans online couldn't believe it. The video spread quickly across social media. One fan commented, 'Are we sure that wasn't a car he called for??'
Another fan added in defence of the fans, 'This crowd was tame and respectful in comparison to what Denzel experienced in Italy.'
The timing adds to the buzz around his upcoming concert and personal life. Rumors suggest Jackman may be planning to marry The Music Man co-star Sutton Foster once his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness is finalized.

ESPN's "NFL Live" will do its first live broadcast from Nashville on Tuesday, June 24 on location at the "Tight End University" camp founded by George Kittle, Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen.
