Florida lands three-star OT Tyler Chukuyem, capping another big recruiting win for 2026
The Florida Gators' class of 2026 remained scorching hot on Monday when three-star offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem announced his commitment, per Blake Alderman of Gators Online.
The 6-foot-6-inch, 290-pound offensive tackle out of South Paulding High School in Douglasville, Georgia, becomes Florida's fourth offensive line pledge and the 12th overall commitment in the cycle, continuing the momentum Billy Napier's staff has generated this summer.
Chukuyem needed only one visit to know Gainesville was home. During his weekend stay, he sampled the campus culture, dove into Florida's academic resources and sat down with line coach Rob Sale to break down film and future plans.
"They have a new field coming up for what I want to study," Chukuyem told Gators Online. "I'm trying to study data analytics. Like I said before, they have a good education program...It carries a lot, because education is the number one priority for me and my family. Education is a big deciding factor."
By the time he left on Sunday, he had quietly informed the staff he was ready to shut down his recruitment.
Chukuyem said conversations with Sale and assistant line coach Darnell Stapleton convinced him he would be developed properly–a sentiment reinforced after watching film of recent Gator lineman thriving on Sundays.
His commitment pushes Florida's 2026 haul to a dozen names, joining four-star quarterback Will Griffin, four-star receiver Justin Williams and fellow big men Chancellor Campbell, G'Nivre Carr and Javarii Luckas in what's quickly becoming a foundational class up front.
Florida football's summer run shows no sign of slowing, and landing a high-ceiling tackle out of the Peach State underscores the staff's focus on replenishing the offensive line with athletic, academically motivated prospects.
Recruiting Summary
Chukuyem enters Florida's class with solid three-star credentials across the major scouting services. The 247Sports proprietary grade pegs him at 89 overall, ranking him the No. 36 offensive tackle and No. 47 prospect in Georgia. On3's industry metric places him as the No. 67 offensive tackle and No. 86 prospect in the state.

Jaguars' Liam Coen evaluates RB Bhayshul Tuten's preseason performance
After reviewing the game tape from the Jacksonville Jaguars' preseason opener, head coach Liam Coen was pleased with what he saw from rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten. "I thought he ran it pretty well, actually," Coen said on Monday. "From a physicality standpoint, if you're going to take the positive from the other night, was on both sides of the ball was physical. We stopped the run and we ran it okay, but we ran it when we kind of needed to--it became a little bit more of a throw game. But I thought he did some nice things. He was able to make some guys miss in the hole. He ran hard, he had good ball security, so I was pleased with Tuten." The Jaguars took a good look at Tuten in that game, giving him 20 total snaps on offense. He ended up carrying the ball six times for 24 yards, which included a physical touchdown run. Tuten also had two targets in the passing game, and he caught both of them for 16 yards, and showcased his ability in space. Tuten's presence in the Jaguars' backfield brings an added home run ability to the run game with his 4.32 speed. Tuten will factor into the Jaguars' offense this season, but the big question right now is, how much? Given how the training camp practices have unfolded to this point, it would appear that, based on workload with the first team offense, Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby are at the top of the running back depth chart. Former Notre Dame lineman Howard Cross III making waves for the Cincinnati Bengals in camp
It wasn't a surprise when new Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Al Golden pushed the team to pick up one of his former Notre Dame players in defensive tackle Howard Cross III. Golden knows exactly what the defender brings to the table, and while he went undrafted, the Bengals quickly made a move to sign him. Cross wasn't guaranteed a spot on the roster due to this fact, but he has been playing very well and might be pushing Cincinnati to keep him around. Their head coach Zac Taylor recently spoke to the media about Cross, and gave a glowing review. He said that his undrafted rookie defensive tackle 'has shown the ability to do the things we're asking those guys to do. Do the dirty work and do it how we want it done.' It's pretty safe to say that Golden knew that Cross could be productive at this level, and them getting a chance to reunite should be great for both of their careers.
