Chelsea's sister club set to sign France U16 captain from under noses of Man U, Ajax, Leverkusen
Brilliant teenage midfielder picks Strasbourg over top teams
Tyrese Noubissie playing for France's youth teams.
After spending time in the Leicester academy, Man City signed the then 14 year old for €1.2m in August 2023. He's been developed there, but is now looking to move on, and despite interest from the likes of Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen and Man U, has apparently been tempted by the BlueCo project.
City have offered their young star a long contract, but he's tempted by the chance to play regularly at a younger age. That's why Strasbourg provide a tempting destination, even more than the bigger clubs also pushing for him.
Liam Rosenior and before him Patrick Vieira have really established a convincing pathway for young players, and Noubissie is certainly a prime one of those. He just captained the French U16s at the Montaigu tournament, and is seen as a potential future star.
Strasbourg will happily accept that the youngster is destined for bigger things – they can get some great use out of him in the meantime, and make a profit when he goes. Chelsea will clearly want to be first option if Noubissie keeps developing.
Chelsea and Strasbourg look to keep profitable talent pipeline going
Chelsea of course have a strong connection with the City academy given the number of former players, coaches and recruitment suits we've got onboard.
The fee is not mentioned in the piece, but given his age we wouldn't expect it to be anything too crazy. There should be the chance for our French sister club to make a serious wedge of profit in the future if the all round midfielder turns out to be half as good as some are predicting.

🎥 OTD 2020: Arsenal complete comeback win to seal record FA Cup title
Arsenal have produced some memorable performances in the FA Cup and cemented a record 14th title with a 2-1 win against Chelsea in 2020. Just three years after the London sides met in their previous FA Cup final, which Arsenal edged 2-1, the sides locked horns again in front of a closed-doors Wembley in 2020. Despite conceding an early Christian Pulisic goal, Mikel Arteta's side hit back through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's first-half penalty. Aubameyang produced the match-winning heroics again with just 25 minutes left, dinking a delightful finish over Willy Caballero to add yet another FA Cup trophy to the Emirates cabinet. Nicolas Jackson addresses transfer rumours and competition doubts in exclusive interview
Nicolas Jackson is enjoying his holiday after a long season, but he's just given an interview with DSports in his native Senegal about his second year with Chelsea: 'We thank God. I won two trophies. There were difficult moments, moments of glory,' the striker said when asked to look back on Chelsea's year. 'Every season is like that. But the most important thing is to stay focused, to learn, and to grow in the face of adversity.' Jackson himself had a strange season – the first half he looked to have gone to another level. He was scoring for fun and had ironed out some of the issues from his first campaign. But a dreadful run without goals, an injury and a couple of silly red cards undid a lot of good work. The Senegal star was philosophical about it: 'That's football. There are ups and downs. But I didn't lack confidence. I was focused on what I needed to improve. The most important thing is to get up at the right time, without getting distracted.' Jackson then picked out a game as his favourite of the season: 'The match against PSG. Everyone thought we were going to get beaten. But we believed in ourselves, we gave it our all, and we won. It was a very powerful moment. But now we have to look ahead.' I'm on a mission. It's up to the coach to make his choices. I focus solely on my work,' the striker said when asked about his two new rivals to lead the line, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. That's the sort of attitude we love. When asked about a potential move away, he certainly didn't jump at the chance to push for a move: 'I'm a Chelsea player. The future belongs to God. If there are any changes, you'll know. For now, I'm focused on my preparation.'
