Love Island host Maya Jama confirms the return of the hit ITV2 show with a cheeky memo as bosses gear up for a 10th anniversary special packed with iconic ex-Islanders and unforgettable moments
Maya Jama has just dropped a major Love Island update – and it's sent fans into a frenzy. A teaser posted to the show's official Instagram has confirmed that the hit dating series will be back on screens very soon.
The short clip features a printer churning out a memo that reads: "Attention: Love Island is coming soon. Attendance mandatory." ITV 's very own Maya, now 30, signs off the memo with her name and a kiss, declaring herself the "CEO of love" in the process. Naturally, fans exploded with excitement in the comments.

One ecstatic viewer wrote: 'I've been waiting for this!!! It's not summer without Love Island.' Another added: 'OMG Yayyyyyy we are so back,' while a third gushed: 'Can't wait to see Maya on screen every night again. You've been missed girl.'

However, others were left disappointed as they had been convinced that the series wouldn't be out for another couple of weeks. "I was thinking it would be back the first week of June, but it looks like it's going to be later," one wrote. Another added: "I can't wait anymore, I need Love Island back NOW."
This buzz comes just ahead of a major milestone for the franchise – ITV2 will soon air a special episode marking ten years of the cultural juggernaut that is Love Island.
Titled Love Island: A Decade of Love, the one-off retrospective will air on both ITV2 and ITVX. It promises to revisit unforgettable moments, track down past Islanders who became stars in their own right, and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the series.
Fans can expect to relive some of the show's most iconic moments – from dramatic dumpings and surprise arrivals to fairytale romances. Plus, exclusive interviews and throwback footage will offer fresh insight into how the show shaped modern reality TV and changed the lives of those who took part.
As for who'll be stepping back into the spotlight, ITV has confirmed several familiar faces will return. Among them: Dani Dyer, Curtis Pritchard, and beloved duo Liam Reardon and Millie Court.

Expect Georgia Steel to deliver her legendary "I'm loyal" line once again, and don't miss appearances from season two champs Cara De La Hoyde-Massey and Nathan Massey. Fan-favourite couples like Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, and Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope will also update fans on where they stand now.
More returning legends include Gabby Allen – fresh off a breakup with her All Stars partner Casey O'Gorman – as well as Hannah Elizabeth, Anton Danyluk, Whitney Adebayo, Catherine Agbaje, and Montana Brown, who recently welcomed her second child with fiancé Mark O'Connor.

Reflecting on the show's legacy, Executive Producer Mike Spencer said: "We've had an incredible 10 years of love, drama and unforgettable moments in the villa – now it's time to look back and celebrate the icons who made it all happen." He added, "Expect big laughs and plenty of heart as we revisit a decade of Love Island magic."
The anniversary special is set to air soon, serving as a nostalgic prelude to the brand-new summer series, which will return to Majorca this June.

Meanwhile, peculation is mounting among fans about the exact launch date of the upcoming series. Many believe it could premiere on Monday, June 9th, while others argue that based on previous years, it should be Monday, June 2nd, following the Bank Holiday.
The lack of official promo has only fueled debate, with some convinced there's been a delay.

Repair Shop expert admits 'it is hard' as she cries off-camera

The Repair Shop experts Julie Tatchell and Amanda Middleditch, also known as the Teddy Bear Ladies, opened up about how they deal with emotional moments on the show The Repair Shop's beloved Teddy Bear Ladies, Julie Tatchell and Amanda Middleditch, chatted with Alan Titchmarsh about handling the show's tear-jerking moments. Amanda confessed that she often sheds tears away from the camera, believing that viewers wouldn't appreciate seeing the experts getting teary on air. ‌ She also revealed her tactic for controlling her emotions on set, which involves embracing guests after a reveal to help stifle her tears. ‌ Alan sympathised, sharing his own challenges with emotional content: "I get told off often enough on this programme for losing it when I see a sentimental clip. What's it like?" Amanda gave a glimpse behind the scenes, mentioning: "There is always a stash hidden, so we can grab a tissue if we need one," reports Gloucestershire Live. Acknowledging the intensity of their work, she added, "It is so emotional," and noted that the production team limits showing the experts' emotional reactions because "I think they keep the emotional clips of us to a minimum because it doesn't make good TV if we are all blubbing. It can get really emotional in that barn." After watching a particularly poignant segment from the show, Alan enquired how they maintain composure during such reveals. Amanda explained her approach: "That's why I tend to shuffle around to give her a bit of a hug because it gives me something to focus on." ‌ Julie admitted her vulnerability, saying: "You could see I was about to lose it, I think it was quite clear." "It is hard," Amanda continued, "But we are quite fortunate. We kind of play off each other, so usually, different things trigger us." She concluded by highlighting their supportive dynamic: "So one will sense that the other one is starting to go, and will kind of take over the conversation." Julie and Amanda have been fixtures on The Repair Shop since its inception in 2017. Despite always being seen together, they're not family but rather close mates with a shared passion for toy restoration. Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh is available to watch on ITVX.

Molly-Mae Hague reacts to Love Island audition tape and first time meeting Tommy

The next series of Love Island is due to begin on Monday night with host Maya Jama and the helm and plenty of new singles ready to find love Molly-Mae Hague has reacted to her Love Island audition tape and first time meeting Tommy Fury. The mum-of-one shared a vlog to her popular YouTube channel where she shared a video of herself watching her audition tape in a bid to enter the villa. She starts the clip by laughing at the camera while her audition tape plays in the background. The previous Molly-Mae in the tape talks about how a ex told her she was "too much to handle" before they split up but then Molly looks at the camera in her vlog and says "what am I actually talking about" as it seems she's struggling to recall the moment. ‌ Molly previously said that she gave herself "the ick" watching her audition tape back. She explained to her fans: "Basically Fran [her manager] got an email a few weeks ago saying that they were doing a 10 years of Love Island programme to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. ‌ "They said that my audition tape is going to be shown and Fran was like 'Is there anyway we could see the audition tape before it gets put on TV considering Molly hasn't seen this in coming up to seven years?' "I've never actually seen it, because it obviously it was filmed and I never got to see it, I actually forgot that even one existed to be honest. "And it's about to be on TV in a minute and I have literally zero idea what to expect, because I've never seen it before and I'm actually really scared as to what I'm going to say, what I'm going to ever look like, or sound like. "Maybe they might not show mine, but I think they will because Fran got told they definitely are going to and they said we can't show you a sneak peek." ‌ The vlog then skips to Tommy, who hasn't been on her YouTube channel for months due to their split. However it looks like he's back as they pair recently confirmed that they are once again an item. Molly shows fans that she's watching old episodes of Love Island which includes the moment when Tommy and Molly first met. Tommy giggles as he says "the wanderer returns" before Molly explains they are reminiscing on how they met. Tommy says: "Do you know what it is? Genuinely, I miss that place. I do miss it because you had no worries in there. You didn't have a phone, which you know I love. You had your own little clique in there, you got on with people, it was good wasn't it." ‌ Molly and Tommy recently confirmed that they are back together after taking months apart due to his struggles with alcohol. The iconic couple split up last year as a result of the boxer's issues with alcohol which was revealed on Molly's documentary Molly-Mae: Behind It All. However, it seems that the couple couldn't stay apart and are now giving things another go. The two of them share their daughter Bambi together. Love Island returns Monday, June 9 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Love Island series 12 cast: what are stars ‘biggest icks'?

Love Island will be welcoming a host of new singletons to the famous villa shortly - and plenty of them know exactly what they are looking for. The iconic reality show recently celebrated its 10th birthday. ITV has set the return date and it is just over 24 hours away on Monday (June 9). 12 singletons will soon be jetting off to see if they can find the one in the sun. The action will be returning to the show's traditional villa in Spain - after moving to South Africa for the All-Star spin-off in the winter. Maya Jama is on hosting duties once again. It is set to be broadcast on ITV2 once again - with new episodes six days a week. Ahead of the start of series 12, the new cast have been discussing what they are looking for. Connor - 25, rugby player, Limerick Talking about what he is looking for in the villa, Connor said: 'Someone who is really sure of themselves, ambitious, a bit of a go-getter and good craic. I like dark eyes and I don't mind a dominant woman.' But his 'icks' include: 'Being too needy, or needing to do everything together.' | ITV Photo: ITV Photo Sales 2 . Blu - 26, construction project manager, London Discussing what he is looking for in the villa, Blu said: 'Someone who is family oriented, has a lot of love to give and a lot of love to receive. Personality goes a long way.' But he warned that his biggest icks are: 'When you see toothpaste in the sink. Just turn the tap on right? When it's dried up as well? Gross.' | ITV Photo: ITV Photo Sales 3 . Shakira - 22, marketing, Burnley Shakira is looking for someone who: 'Someone who is tall, charming, witty, with big arms, a good smile and just really funny.' However her biggest 'icks' in the romance department include: 'Bad hygiene, like bad breath. I can't deal with it. Garlic breath or onion breath on a date is a big no-no.' | ITV Photo: ITV Photo Sales 4 . Harry - 30, gold trader, Guildford In the villa, Harry is looking for: 'The girl next door that makes me laugh and can hold eye contact with me. I don't think I'd go for the most obvious girl, I like a real sweet girl.' But when it comes to 'icks' his biggest are: 'Someone DM-ing me first. I don't like that, I think I'm a little bit more old fashioned. I don't slide into DMs if I don't know someone. Also someone that tries too hard and is trying to be who they think I want them to be.' | ITV Photo: ITV Photo Sales
