Trichy: Cauvery Global School in Trichy has conducted its annual 'School Parliament' elections using electronic voting machines (EVMs) for the second consecutive year. Students from Class VIII to Class XII cast their votes for electing head girl, head boy, assistant head girl, assistant head boy, sports captain, and assistant sports captain.
Aspiring candidates submitted nomination forms and underwent a two-stage screening — a questionnaire round and a personal interview — before campaigning and presenting their manifestos. The teachers briefed the students on the polling procedures. Principal M Saraswathi announced the winners after the counting of votes.
