The return of 'It Means Nothing' to the setlist was a welcome surprise, and their cover of 'Handbags and Gladrags' proved once again why their take on the classic still resonates.
Support acts Blossoms and Finn Forster warmed up the crowd admirably, but the main event was pure spectacle, giant balloons, pyrotechnics, and a euphoric stadium-wide singalong to 'Dakota' made for a fitting climax.

South Wales' ageing transport infrastructure added its own chorus of complaints, packed trains, hours-long tailbacks on the M4, and logistical chaos left many fans frustrated both before and after the gig. Inside, the sting of £8 pints didn't go unnoticed either. But once the band hit the stage, gripes gave way to grins.
After more than 30 years in the game, Stereophonics proved they are still masters of the stadium experience, blending grit, charm and timeless tunes in a night that few in Cardiff will forget.

Oasis fan with no ticket claims he snuck in to see the band using VERY ingenious plot
A major Oasis fan who failed to bag a ticket to the band's iconic reunion tour claimed he managed to get in using a very ingenious plan. John Spilsbury, 42, was determined to join the 80,000 strong crowd on Friday night as the rock band took to the stage in Manchester for the first time in 16 years. After racking his brain for a way in, the super fan decided to pose as a little picker so he could walk straight up to the front - and claims it worked. The transport planner said he wore a yellow hi-vis vest, carried a litter picker and held a bin bag before strolling up to the gates at Heaton Park, The Sun first reported. After being waved through, Mr Spilsbury said he got right to the front standing section using his smart disguise. Living up to his persona of the night, the fan claimed he carried out a '30 minute shift' of litter picking before removing his outfit to enjoy the show. Mr Spilsbury, from Alfreton in Cheshire, posted on social media: 'No Ticket No Problem. 'When you can't get a ticket for Oasis so take a hi viz and grabber and pretend to be a litter picker then walk straight into front standing.' Viewers praised the transport planner for being a 'legend and a genius', while others joked there will be '6,000 litter pickers' turning up to the next concert. The band's shows at Heaton Park - a 600-acre public park in Bury and Manchester - are the only UK concerts held outside a stadium, with the others taking place at the Principality Stadium, Wembley and Murrayfield. Oasis opened their set with Hello from their 1995 second album (What's the Story), before playing Acquiesce. Fans were treated to Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes and Alcohol, and Supersonic before Noel's acoustic set. Giving his brother a hug, Liam then headed off while Noel played Half The World Away and Little By Little. Other songs included D'You Know What I Mean, Cast No Shadow, Stand By Me, Whatever and Rock N Roll Star. After Rock N Roll Star, Liam said: 'Thanks for sticking with us. I know we are difficult, but you want to try being in the band,' before they left the stage. As chants of 'one more song!' echoed through the crowd they strolled back on to stage to play fan favourites Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall. Oasis ended the night on Champagne Supernova with fireworks being set off from the stage.

Rag 'n' Bone Man holds his own in an effortless performance that caps off a huge week for music in Cardiff

More info After a weekend of scorching heat in the Welsh capital, things cooled down to create a blissful evening as the sun set on Cardiff Castle for Rag 'n' Bone Man's Sunday evening show. It was the perfect way to round off a big week of music in the city - hot off the heels of Oasis' takeover last weekend, followed by Stevie Wonder and two gigs at the Principality Stadium for Welsh rock legends Stereophonics. Rag 'n' Bone Man's epic voice and golden weather were a perfect combination for another fantastic evening at the stunning venue, where the TK Maxx presents Depot Live summer gigs are well and truly under way. The Brit award-winning artist from Eastbourne – accompanied by a talented band and two backing vocalists – performed a perfect balance of up-tempo tracks and tender ballads. The singer - whose real name is Rory Graham - treated the crowd to songs from throughout his career, including all his biggest hits, as well as a number of unreleased tracks. Lovers In A Past Life was the crowd-pleasing opener to get everybody going swiftly followed by Skin, Grace, Hard Came The Rain and Human also featured, while the beautiful Put A Little Love On Me drew the night to a close before he performed the anthemic Giant. Opening the night was singer-songwriter Jamie Grey followed by Elles Bailey, who put on a bubbly and confident performance in some fabulous cowboy boots. But Rag 'n' Bone Man who quickly made it clear that it was his night. His vocals were effortless from the moment he stepped on stage. Charming and clearly grateful to be in front of a crowd at the beautiful venue, it was clear that everyone was in for a good night. While not a showy performer who dedicates lots of chat between songs, Rag 'n' Bone Man still took the time to interact with the audience when the right moment arose. After the first song, his son Ruben came out to throw a signed plane out into the crowd. He also graciously stopped the show for a couple of minutes after the first few songs for a fan who needed attention from security at the front of the gig, when he sang a short acapella version of You Are My Sunshine. (Image: Ellie Gosley) The first moment for a big singalong came during the second song Skin, and the giant (no pun intended) of a man was smiling and looked genuinely pleased at the thousands of people belting out the lyrics. At one point, the singer said: "It blows my mind that I get to do this to so many people" - which it seemed like was clearly true. I'm a dad and I've got about two dance moves." It seemed more effortlessly cool rather than dad-dancing from where I was stood. For me, the highlight of the night was All You Ever Wanted, when you could hear a pin drop as Rag 'n' Bone Man's epic but tender vocals rang out, echoing off the historic castle walls. There was also a huge cheer, encouraged by the man himself, for backing singer Desri, who sang Pink!'s portion of the song beautifully. As the night drew to a close, he returned clapping and bowing down to the crowd as he emerged for the encore, joking: "We have to do that obligatory thing where we pretend we're not coming back. I know we're coming back, you know we're coming back but we have to do it. It's the rules." Rag 'n' Bone Man then performed Put A Little Hurt On Me in another emotional moment of the night, with him dedicating the song to a young boy called Ethan, who he met through Children in Need, who was in the audience. The Cardiff audience quickly sprang into action to show their support by chanting his name. The night finished with a bouncing rendition of Giant, which it was clear everyone had been waiting for with the whole crowd dancing and jumping on their feet. The night finished with Rag 'n' Bone Man thanking the crowd before adding: "I knew you wouldn't let me down." His show wasn't showy, but it sure wasn't boring either. Colossal vocals achieved with ease, a great band, simple yet striking lighting and a genuine, humble man who seems truly happy and grateful to be there made for a great night all-in-all.
