'Whilst I've seen many Toyota Supras over the years, few are in such amazing condition as this one,' said Mr. Bromell. 'At 34 years old, it is one of the younger classics in the auction but will have many admirers in the sale.'
The 1991 Toyota Supra 3.0i comes from a deceased estate near Weymouth. It was bought by the late owner in 1998 and has travelled less than 60,000 miles since new.
Finished in white with a blue interior, this low mileage Supra has been cherished and used sparingly by its owner and survives in remarkable original condition for a modern sports car.
There are nearly 60 classic & vintage cars in the auction dating from 1924 to 2005, estimated from £500 to £35,000. All lots, with live internet bidding, will be available to be viewed on charterhouse-auction.com.

Why Was Yuki Tsunoda Given A 10-Place Grid Penalty For The Canadian GP?
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Red Bull Formula One driver Yuki Tsunoda has been slapped with a 10-place grid penalty for the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix. The Japanese driver will start the race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve from 20th on the grid after finishing qualifying in 11th. On top of the grid penalty, Tsunoda was handed two penalty points on his super licence, bringing his total to two in 12 months. The FIA has confirmed that Tsunoda was handed the penalty for overtaking McLaren driver Oscar Piastri under red flag conditions during the third and final practice session. While speaking to the media following qualifying, Tsunoda claimed that he didn't feel that he deserved the penalty. Yuki Tsunoda of Japan and Oracle Red Bull Racing talks with Richard Wood, Race Engineer of Oracle Red Bull Racing in the garage during final practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Canada at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on June 14, 2025 in Montreal, Quebec. More"I'm not really sure I deserve that penalty because I don't know what they want me to do," he explained. "Obviously I saw Oscar driving far left and I understand that under the red flag you can't overtake. But waiting for Oscar to pit behind the damaged car, for me it's just waiting for debris to hit me. "I saw the tyre was going sideways and I thought the tyre was going to fly away. Obviously I knew that, so I went far right. I checked the car ahead of Oscar, the car behind myself, make sure there's no one. I went far left, opposite way to overtake him with a sensible speed which was 170kmh. "Half the speed of the speed that we normally drive and I got a penalty. So having 10-place is ridiculous for me. I don't know what they want me to do. Apparently they want me to stay behind Oscar to not overtake. But for me it's just hoping that debris won't hit me. "I don't understand with this, especially the car having damage, driving very slow. I don't think I deserve this 10-place [penalty]." Why was Tsunoda penalised in Canada? The FIA released a report to confirm why Tsunoda was penalised. The race stewards confirmed: "Car 22 overtook Car 81 under red flag. (Breach of Appendix H, Article 2.5.4.1 b) of the International Sporting Code. "Drop of 10 grid positions for the next Race in which the driver participates. 2 penalty points (total of 2 for the 12 month period). "The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 22 (Yuki Tsunoda), team representative and reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing, telemetry and in-car video evidence. "Car 81 (Piastri) had earlier collided with the barrier at the exit of turn 14 and damaged the rear right wheel and sustained a puncture and suspension damage. A red flag was displayed when Car 22 was at turn 6. Car 22 reduced speed at that point. After turn 12, Car 22 was approaching Car 81 on the back straight. The driver of Car 22 said that he saw Car 81 travelling slowly on the left side of the track with obvious damage. He said that he was worried that he might be struck by debris from Car 81 and decided to overtake. "Telemetry showed that Car 81 was travelling at 86kph when Car 22 overtook at a speed of 171kph. "Having considered the matter extensively, the Stewards determined that while Car 81 had an obvious problem, it was not travelling at such a speed that it prevented Car 22 from following it at a safe distance. The circumstances were such that there was no justifiable reason for the driver of Car 22 to have overtaken Car 81." The 2025 Canadian Grand Prix is set for Sunday, 15 June and 2 p.m. local time.

Stellantis Exec Wants Europe to Adopt Cheap, Tiny, Japanese-Style Kei Cars
Though it may seem different today, more than half a century ago, American and European drivers were not as familiar with Japanese automakers and the types of cars they offered. Today, well-known Japanese brands like Honda, Toyota, and Nissan are primarily recognized in the West for their locally built compact cars, sedans, crossovers, SUVs, and pickup trucks. However, the situation is quite different in Japan. In fact, the majority of vehicles on the streets in Japan are not Accords, Civics, CR-Vs, Corollas, Crowns, or Camrys; instead, many fall under a category of super-compact vehicles known as "Kei cars." These unique compact vehicles are an essential mobility solution for Japanese drivers navigating their roads, but recently, Stellantis Chairman John Elkann encouraged European regulators to consider adopting a similar concept. On June 12, Stellantis Chairman John Elkann emphasized the urgent need for Europe to innovate and produce smaller, more affordable vehicles in the same vein as Japanese 'kei cars.' He pointed out that the high prices of current offerings, which he blamed squarely on excessively strict vehicle regulations, are hurting consumer demand for cars on the continent. During his remarks at the 2025 Automotive News Europe Congress, he pointed out that as recently as 2019, nearly 50 different models were sold in Europe with a price tag below €15,000 ($17,400); however, just a single model under that price tag exists these days. Elkann suggested that Europe should look for inspiration from Japan, where tiny and cheap kei cars have long captured a significant market share. He even proposed that Europe's version of the kei car could be named the E-Car. "There's no reason why, if Japan has a kei car, which is 40 percent of the market, Europe should not have an E-Car," Elkann said. In Europe, Stellantis already sells electric microcars that are classified as quadricycles in some European countries, specifically the bubble-shaped Citroën Ami, Opel Rocks-e, and Fiat Topolino. These vehicles' sales in Europe show a strong market for affordable electric mobility. However, a large variety of cars are offered as kei-compliant vehicles in Japan, including off-roaders like the Japanese-market Suzuki Jimny, roadsters like the Daihatsu Copen, family cars like the Honda N-Box, and even utility-focused kei trucks like the Mitsubishi Minicab. The 'Kei' in Kei car is short for a Japanese word called kei-jidōsha (軽自動車), which roughly translates to "light vehicle" in English. Kei cars are defined by maximum size and displacement restrictions, meaning they are only allowed to have a maximum length of about 134 inches, a width of about 58 inches, a height of about 79 inches, and a gas engine displacement of 660 cubic centimeters. In Japan, Kei cars are seen as around-town vehicles for city-dwellers, as their size and engine restrictions help owners by guaranteeing much lower tax and insurance costs while freeing up much-needed road space. Elkann emphasized that small cars, like Stellantis's own Fiat 500, have historically represented the core of the European automotive industry and served as a symbol of affordable mobility for the masses. Unfortunately, increasing regulations that made cars heavier and more expensive have made them unprofitable to manufacture. Some of the requirements for cars, ranging from small vehicles to SUVs, include safety features such as sensors that detect when a driver falls asleep and an SOS button. Elkann argues that features significantly increase the cost of vehicles primarily used for short city journeys. "We are going to face more than 120 new regulations by 2030" in Europe, he said. "If you look at our engineers, more than 25 percent just work on compliance, so no value is added." Though the buying preferences of the American car-buying public may indicate that no Fiat, Citroën, or Alfa Romeo-branded European E-cars would make it on American shores, this story out of Europe shows that Stellantis is facing two different kinds of problems on two different continents with huge car-buying potential with two wildly different sets of preferences. While we may be preoccupied with Ram Trucks and Jeep stuff, it is important to note that John Elkann and the incoming CEO, Antonio Filosa, are also responsible for keeping a significant number of Europe's car factories buzzing. However, in remarks at the same conference, Elkann said that Filosa was the right choice in an automotive industry with defined challenges in particular regions. "The experience that Antonio had running Argentina, running Brazil, running South America, and recently running North America is very much in phase with how the world is going between regulations, tariffs, and how you ultimately navigate that constructively with political forces," he said. 'Watched Too Much Fast & Furious:' MK4 Toyota Supra Evades Police on Highway. Then a Trooper Conducts 'Insane' PIT Maneuver
A Toyota Supra MK4 driver attempted to evade Florida police and ended up the subject of a trooper's PIT maneuver. But the internet is more concerned with the judgement of the driver, based on the specs of the vehicle. A Reddit user posted dashcam footage of the incident to the Supra subreddit on June 11. The video shows a Florida Highway Patrol trooper pursuing a black Supra MK4 at a presumably high rate of speed. The trooper catches up to the Supra and performs the PIT maneuver, which sends it spinning across the highway and into a utility pole. Get the best news, reviews, columns, and more delivered straight to your inbox, daily. back Sign up For more information, read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use . A PIT maneuver , or precision immobilization technique, involves striking the rear end of a vehicle to cause it to spin out. Its use is controversial, as it often leads to wrecks like the one that ended with the MK4 Toyota Supra smashed up like an aluminum can. The Redditor who posted it wondered, 'What's the story behind this chase?' Another sarcastically replied, 'Idiot watched too much Fast and Furious .' Others pointed to another r/Supra thread discussing a screenshot of the FHP Tampa's Instagram post regarding the incident. The post includes three photos of the Supra, which was completely destroyed. The caption explains that a trooper attempted to stop the driver for going 93 mph in a 55 mph speed zone. A chase ensued, followed by a crash. Rather miraculously, the driver reportedly walked away from the crash with non-life-threatening injuries and went to a local hospital for treatment. Then He Changes Settings One thing that pretty much everyone across platforms agrees on is that the driver (if what police say is true) made a poor decision with a precious vehicle. "I drive an NA Supra," wrote one Redditor. "There's a reason I don't do stupid things. Why destroy the illusion that all Supras make 1000 horsepower by putting the foot down and showing you only have 150 horsepower? Now everyone will know just how slow my car is. Jerk." The Supra MK4, which Toyota released from 1993-2002, was one of the definitive sports cars of that decade. The fourth generation of the model is known for its power and appearance in the Fast and Furious film series. An Instagram user blamed the police. "You totaled a special car and caught a guy speeding. Almost killed the driver and passenger with the maneuver,' they wrote. 'Good job." 'The junkyard's gonna love this one,' another user joked. This is a rare model of Supra. A person on an MK4 forum claims that there were only about 47,000 ver produced. So it's understandable that some corners of the internet are upset that this one was destroyed in an arguably avoidable crash. Motor1 reached out to Toyota via email for comment.
