Another major EastEnders character to return after 8 years
EastEnders are expanding the Branning family this year, with the return of Lauren Branning's (Jacqueline Jossa) younger brother Oscar.
The character, who was born on screen in 2007, is the son of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and his ex-wife Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner).
With Jake reprising his role later this year, it has now been reported that he won't come back to Albert Square alone.
Last seen portrayed by child actor Charlee Hall, the BBC soap has recast the part with Netflix star Pierre Moullier stepping into Oscar's shoes.
Metro first reported Pierre's casting on Wednesday, as new filming pictures showed him on location with co-stars Jacqueline, Peter Beale favourite Thomas Law and Ian Beale legend Adam Woodyatt.
Outside of an abandoned building, Lauren and the newbie can be seen carrying a number of holdalls and rucksacks. Peter can be seen sitting in a van with Oscar, before the group rush over towards three ne'er-do-wellers.
They're also wearing tracksuits, and are holding bags, with one of them carrying a cricket bat down the front of his trousers.
Lauren, can be seen shouting at Peter, as she seems to try and bargain with the gang.
As the situation escalates, the weapon is brought out and they're threatened. Ian darts towards the van and encourages Oscar to get away from the situation as quickly as possible.
With the vehicle speeding off, the thugs wave the cricket bat in their direction.
After some speculation over Pierre's role from this soaps reporter, The Sun have now confirmed that he is portraying Oscar Branning.

A source told the publication: 'It is an exceptional bout of casting – Pierre looks more like a younger Jake than Jake did himself. It's uncanny.
'He's going to bring something new to Oscar and the character will definitely set the cat amongst the pigeons in the Square.' More Trending
As Oscar was just a child last time we saw him in 2017, he hasn't had many storylines, though the character was very much at the heart of Max's affair with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
Following the explosive fall out in that memorable Christmas Day episode, the youngster was crying upstairs. Tanya rushed to attend to him and pack her bags, and was sent tumbling down the staircase.
He was due to visit Max for his tenth birthday, though Tanya changed her mind at the last hour when she learnt that he had tried to con his neighbours in a scam with dodgy Weyland & Co.

EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy claims huge pop star used to BULLY her at school and reveals awkward confrontation

Actress Natalie, 42, who played Sonia Fowler on the BBC1 soap, made the shock confession about popstar Paloma, 43, who grew up in the same area of East London as Natalie, on her podcast Life With Nat. She went to Islington Green and was in the year above me. We've spoken about it and she has said sorry about that. Gutted.' Indeed, the pair both used to attend the same secondary school, now called the City of London Academy Islington. However, the Make Your Own Kind of Music hitmaker had a VERY different experience to Natalie at school, describing it as 'one of the best periods of my life'. She said: 'I had a really amazing experience. People were always criticising it but the teachers were just so brilliant. "It was really creative, with really great art, music and dance departments. I really enjoyed it.' We have reached out to Paloma Faith's representative for a comment. Natalie - who quit as EastEnders' Sonia Fowler in January more than three decades after her first appearance - recently suffered a huge blow. It was confirmed earlier this month that the BBC wouldn't be re-commissioning her podcast with Joanna Page. A spokesperson told The Sun: "What started as a six month project turned into more than a year of joyous TV chatter, and over 80 heart-warming episodes. "Thank you to Nat and Jo for their warm recommendations and insider analysis, and to the whole team for keeping listeners in the loop with what to watch. EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy drops biggest hint yet about when Sonia Fowler will return after shock exit from soap "We look forward to working with Nat and Jo again soon!" But it's not all bad news as Natalie has landed her own show with the broadcaster, titled Learning To Care. It will follow the actress as she fulfils her longtime ambition of wanting to train as carer.

Billie Piper's role in Wednesday has Doctor Who fans 'giddy' for odd reason
Billie Piper has been cast in Netflix's Wednesday, and fans are convinced her character will be linked to her Doctor Who alter-ego, Rose Tyler Billie Piper has landed a role in the upcoming second season of Netflix's Wednesday, and the news has left Doctor Who fans abuzz with excitement as her character could pay homage to her iconic portrayal of Rose Tyler. The 42-year-old star famously played the Doctor's companion Rose in the BBC sci-fi series between 2005 and 2006 and has made several cameos since. She is remembered fondly by fans for her part in reviving the series alongside Christopher Eccleston and helping to usher in the 10th Doctor, David Tennant. Now, it appears she might be giving a subtle nod to Rose in her new TV gig. Billie has snagged the role of Capri in the forthcoming second season of Wednesday, a TV adaptation of The Addams Family that stars Jenna Ortega as the titular moody teenager. While specifics about her character will remain secret until the show's August release, rumour has it she'll be taking charge of the music department at Nevermore Academy. However, it's the revelation that her character, Capri, is reportedly a werewolf, that has sent Doctor Who fans into a speculative frenzy. A TikTok video by a user named Dhean has highlighted an intriguing connection between werewolves and the era of Doctor Who featuring Rose Tyler, sparking theories among fans that this parallel is more than a mere coincidence. In the video, Dhean points out: "You know the show is set in a world full of mythical creatures? She's playing a werewolf. She could be a villain. A bad wolf. Like Rose in Doctor Who!" Fans of Doctor Who will fondly remember Billie Piper's storyline, particularly the intriguing mystery surrounding the Bad Wolf. This phrase peppered the 2005 series until it was finally unveiled that Rose herself transformed into the Bad Wolf entity after her encounter with the heart of the TARDIS and its Time Vortex. The intense absorption of Vortex energy almost obliterated Rose, but the Doctor, played at the time by Christopher Eccleston, absorbed this near-fatal power himself to rescue her. Such a sacrifice had grave repercussions on his biological makeup, triggering the regeneration into David Tennant's portrayal of the charismatic Time Lord. Viewers of Dhean's video were astounded by the clever connection between Billie's various roles. They expressed their eagerness for her character in the upcoming season of Wednesday to be dubbed "Bad Wolf" as an honourable nod. One follower exclaimed: "If they don't reference it by calling her a 'bad wolf', I'm going to be disappointed." Another chimed in: "My geeky little heart loves this!". Billie is joining a star-studded lineup for the sophomore season of Wednesday. Alongside returning cast members such as Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Emma Myers, the likes of Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, Christopher Lloyd and Lady Gaga are all set to have their series debuts.
