EXCLUSIVE How Deborra-Lee Furness REALLY feels about dating after messy Hugh Jackman split

Daily Mail4 hours ago

Deborra-Lee Furness is currently embroiled in a high-profile divorce from husband Hugh Jackman amid his new romance with Sutton Foster.
Jackman and the Shame actress, 69, who share adopted children Oscaar, 25, and Ava, 19, are in the process of divvying up their assets after their split following what Furness called his ' betrayal.'
And now, insiders are exclusively revealing to Daily Mail how Furness really feels about dating and where her relationship with her estranged husband stands following her shocking decision to officially file for divorce from the Wolverine star, 56.
A source has revealed to Daily Mail that Furness 'has gotten offers to go out and honestly, she is just not interested in this right now.'
Despite the offers and her friends trying to set her up, the insider said dating 'is just not for her' at the moment.
'For decades, Deborra-Lee was certain that she had found her life-long companion,' the source continued, adding that the actress 'never thought in a million years that she would be here, at this stage in her life, single.'
Furness and Jackman met in 1995 on Australian TV show Correlli, when she was a major star, and he was enjoying his first role fresh out of drama school.
He proposed four months later, telling Today in 2018 that he knew two weeks into meeting Furness that they were 'going to be together for the rest of our lives.'
The insider disclosed that while Furness is not 'jaded by men, she is taking the time to heal and she has turned down dates from some incredible guys.'
'She knows what she brings to the table,' the source confirmed about the Aussie producer. 'Once the dust settles on this divorce, she will be open to dating again.'
Furness is also focusing on herself by managing to avoid all news about her ex and his new girlfriend thanks to 'a Hugh-blocker on her phone.'
Furness and Jackman's 27-year marriage started to fall apart during Covid, around the same time that Jackman struck up a friendship with Foster, his co-star on the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man.
Foster was married to Ted Griffin at the time (Griffin and Foster are also in the midst of finalizing their divorce).
Furness and Jackman announced the end of their marriage in a statement in September 2023, telling fans that they were 'shifting' and as a result had decided to 'separate to pursue our individual growth.'
Furness has been using a keyword blocker 'so that she does not have to see any updates on her ex, or see photos of her ex out and about with Sutton'
Foster and Furness had a long history even before her ex and his new girlfriend made their relationship official.
Foster is said to have attempted to befriend Furness in the run up to their divorce by going on double dates with the couple. Furness previously suspected that the Bunheads actress was having an emotional affair with her husband and was left ' disturbed ' by her attempts to befriend her.
The Music Man co-stars confirmed they were an item in January, with what fans deemed a staged picture of them leaving a Los Angeles restaurant hand-in-hand.
Furness has been using a keyword blocker 'so that she does not have to see any updates on her ex, or see photos of her ex out and about with Sutton.' The couple have been spotted out and about together by New Yorkers, as they look very much in love and sparked rumors that they moved in together.
As the Australian actress goes through the high-profile breakup publicly, the insider divulged that her 'Hugh blocker' has been 'incredibly effective, and it makes her news feed so much easier.'

Katy Perry sparks concern as singer is struck down with 'random fever' amid Australian leg of Lifetimes Tour: 'I got very sick last night'

Katy Perry is set to kick-off a four-night run at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre this week, but some fans fear it might all be called off. The US star, 40, was spotted jetting into Kingscote Airport where she stopped to interact with fans ahead of her trip to Southern Ocean Lodge above Hanson Bay. While signing autographs and posing with fans, the singer dropped a bombshell - she had been sick with a 'random fever', reported 7NEWS Adelaide on Monday. When a man asked the Firework hitmaker if she was enjoying her stay, she said: 'Yes, but I got very sick last night. I'm trying not to get sick. I had a random fever.' In footage shared of her arrival at the airport, Katy could be seen keeping a cautious distance from fans where she could after stepping off a private jet. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, . Despite feeling unwell, she made sure not to show it as she sported a wide smile during her friendly interactions with fans. Katy will kick-off her first show in Adelaide on Thursday, with concerts also scheduled in The City of Churches for Friday, Sunday and Monday. The hitmaker surprised locals in South Australia after flying into the region by private jet for a week long vacation ahead of her shows there. The American pop star, who is on the Aussie leg of her Lifetimes Tour, took a break for some relaxation with daughter Daisy Dove, four, at a five-star lodge. Stays at the luxury, award-winning Southern Ocean Lodge comes in at a whopping AUD$3,400 per night. 'Celebrated around the world as the pioneer of experiential luxury in Australia, the new iteration of Southern Ocean Lodge has returned to crown the wildly beautiful clifftops on Kangaroo Island,' the resort's website reads. 'The new-look luxury lodge bears a similar footprint to its award-winning original, complete with breathtaking views of the Southern Ocean, magnificent Great Room and string of luxurious guest suites easing along the coastline.' Katy dressed down for her arrival, disembarking from her private jet in a tan long-sleeved shirt and cap as she hid her eyes behind some dark sunglasses. The pop star's tour Down Under comes after she sparked fresh breakup rumours by quietly renting out the home she and Orlando Bloom vowed to raise their daughter. Katy spent a fortune in legal fees to get her hands on the $30million mansion in Montecito, California when she took an ailing veteran to court. Now has exclusively revealed, after winning her years-long battle with Carl Westcott, 85, Katy has handed the keys over to actor Chris Pratt, raising fresh questions about the state of her relationship with 48-year-old Orlando. Sources said Chris, 46, and his author wife Katherine Schwarzenegger recently moved into the sprawling estate in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains. Rental properties in the ritzy enclave – home to Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow, Prince Harry and Meghan Duchess of Sussex – can fetch as much as $120,000 per month. But the Guardians of the Galaxy hunk needed a temporary base for his spouse, 35, and three kids Lyla, four, Eloise, three, and seven-month-old Ford, while they build a new mansion in LA's Brentwood neighbourhood. 'The arrangement suits Chris but it's a bit of a surprise given how Katy fought tooth and nail to get her hands on the house,' a source told 'She previously suggested it was the ideal place for her and Orlando to raise a family. After all that time, energy and money, it seems unthinkable that they are not going to live in it.' Sources close to Katy say she intends to live in the house in the future once the short term rental is finished. Her rep declined to comment. Chris did not respond to a request for comment. Katy's about-face comes amid rumours that she and Lord of the Rings actor Orlando, parents to four-year-old Daisy Dove Orlando, are about to pull the plug on their six-year engagement. Recent reporting suggests setbacks in Katy's faltering pop career have seeped into her personal life. Her latest album 143 was panned as stale and derivative by fans and critics alike, with some calling it her worst release to date. Sources have also told that she and Orlando argued bitterly over her widely derided 11-minute Blue Origin trip into space in April. The flight became a PR disaster when Katy was mocked for her antics including holding up a daisy in zero gravity – a nod to her daughter – and dramatically kissing the earth on touchdown. She received little to no support from Orlando who blasted the 'embarrassing' debacle during an explosive row, according to our reporting. 'He told her the whole thing looked ridiculous,' a source in Katy's camp told Katy and Orlando met at a Golden Globes after-party in 2016. They split for a year but got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019. Daisy Dove was born August 26, 2020.
