Pregnant mother nabbed for allegedly pimping 3-year-old kid, sibling
According to a report on "24 Oras" by Bea Pinlac, the suspect, who is five months pregnant, was selling nude photos and sensitive videos of her kids — aged three and 14 — to clients online.
"'Yung three-year-old na victim natin ay inaalok through online – 'yung malalaswang video at larawan – kaniyang ina. [Siya] 'yung suspek nation," said Police Brigadier General Portia Manalad, chief of the Philippine National Police Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC).
"Ito 'yung mga nude pictures nilang mag-ina na madalas niyang ibigay ay 'yung kanyang anak and then nung nalaman nya na good payor kami, saka niya inoffer yung other minors," added Police Lieutenant Colonel Armelina Manalo of the PNP-WCPC Luzon Field Unit.
The parents of the suspect said they are letting the authorities handle the matter.
The police said they would continue to search for the other victims who might have been exposed online.
"Sa mga ganitong kaso kasi kailangan din natin alisin sa harm 'yung iba pang bata na nandoon sa environment na 'yun, sitwasyon na 'yun o case na 'yun," Manalad said.
According to the police, the suspect charges clients, who include foreigners, at least P2,000 for every photo or video of the children.
"Usually ang inaalok ng nanay ay 'yung mga foreign national o kaya mga dayuhan na maaaring maka-access through online at maaaring makabili o merong pera na pwedeng pambili nitong ganitong images o kaya video," Manalad said.
The police officer said jails have a special setup for pregnant detainees.
"Makakaasa rin na kung ano 'yung nararapat na pangangalaga ay mabibigay sa kaniya lalong-lalo na sa kanyang kalagayan ngayon," Manalad added.
The suspect did not comment.
She is facing complaints for violating the law against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, and for trafficking in persons in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act. —LDF, GMA Integrated News

Synthetic cannabinoid found in ‘tuklaw' puffed in QC, Palawan
Authorities confirmed that a chemical was mixed into the 'black cigarette' or 'tuklaw' that was puffed by several individuals in separate incidents in Quezon City and Palawan. According to Marisol Abdurahman's report on '24 Oras' on Friday, laboratory tests conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) showed that synthetic cannabinoid was found in the samples - a chemical that mimics natural cannabinoid from marijuana, and it is prohibited under the Dangerous Drugs Act. 'Prohibited po 'yan pero sa ngayon, hindi pa final yung report natin,' said PDEA spokesperson Joseph Calulut. (It's prohibited, but our report is not yet final.) PDEA said that the convulsion experienced by the individuals who smoked 'tuklaw' in the viral videos is an effect of the synthetic cannabinoid. 'Yung specific spectra ng cannabinoid na 'yun, it can cause epilepsy and we have literature on that,' Calulut said, adding that 'it can cause death.' The black cigarette originated in Northern Vietnam and is known there as 'thuoc lao." It is much stronger than normal tobacco cigarettes as it has 9% nicotine compared to regular ones. 'Mayroon silang system na ginagamit kung paano yung tamang paggamit niyan. Hindi siya in cigarette form,' said Calulut. (They follow a system on how to use it properly. It's not used in cigarette form.) PDEA is currently awaiting the results of the test conducted by a private laboratory. Robber on motorbike nabbed after motorist gives chase
Two robbers on a motorcycle thought they would get away with stealing money from a pedestrian, until a motorist who saw the crime chased them down in Caloocan City. According to Marisol Abdurahman's exclusive report in '24 Oras' on Thursday, CCTV footage of a portion of McArthur Highway in Caloocan City showed a man standing on the side of the road and a man on a motorcycle nearby, both wearing helmets, seemingly waiting for someone. When a man tried to walk past them, they moved in, pointing a gun at him and taking what turned out to be P152,000 in cash the victim was going to deposit in a bank for his company. They then got on the motorcycle and fled. What the robbers were not expecting was a car that had paused on the road while the incident was going down. When the riders fled, the motorist gave chase. 'Hinabol niya po yung riding-in-tandem hanggang sa naabutan niya at ito'y binangga niya,' said Caloocan Police Investigation Section chief Rommel Caburog. (The driver chased the riders, caught up to them, and hit them with the car.) The suspects fell off their motorcycle. Nearby police arrested one of them, while the other was able to escape. The money was recovered. The Caloocan Police believe the thwarted robbery was an inside job, and that a co-worker of the victim could be involved. 'Sa tingin po namin may tipster po sa loob, nagsasabi na 'O, palabas na si…, magde-deposit na 'yan, abangan n'yo na 'yan,' said Caburog. (We think there's a tipster inside who's saying, 'Oh, he is coming out, he is about to make a deposit, keep an eye out for him.) NBI nabs man for illegal recruitment, sexual harassment in Cavite
Authorities arrested a 44-year-old alleged illegal recruiter in Naic, Cavite who is also accused of sexually harassing applicants he promised jobs abroad. According to John Consulta's exclusive report on '24 Oras' on Thursday, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) caught the suspect in a room with a person he was about to victimize. Upon arriving at the NBI office in Cavite, one of the suspect's victims punched him. The NBI said the suspect was recruited mechanics and massage therapists online and charged them a P20,000 placement fee. He also required his victims to have a one-on-one session with him. The suspect also promised the victims a P90,000 monthly salary, and once they believed him, he would engage in the alleged sexual harassment. According to the NBI, the victims came from different areas in the country such as Aklan, Cagayan, Isabela, Bicol and Cavite. 'Sila'y pinangakuan ng trabaho sa Japan. Under the pretext of conducting training activity, minomolestiya niya ng sexual at marami sa kanila ang nagreklamo na maliban sa illegal recruitment,' Atty Eric Nuqui, NBI Cavite District North chief. (They were promised jobs in Japan.
