Check your ticket! Aussie wins $3.3m
Queenslanders who purchased a ticket in Saturday's Gold Lotto draw are being urged to check if they're a winner, as a $3.3m prize remains unclaimed.
Officials from The Lott have put the call out to Toowoomba residents who purchased a ticket in Saturday's Gold Lotto draw from Campbells News & Casket on Ruthven Street to dig out their ticket, as they could be a millionaire and not yet know it. Spokesperson Anna Hobdell said the Lott have attempted to contact the winner, who is a member of The Lott Members Club, but believe the contact number provided has been disconnected.
'I was ready to reveal the life-enhancing news to the region's newest division one winner, but sadly whenever I called the number provided, it said it was disconnected,' she said.
'You may not think it's possible you're the division one winner we're searching for, but if you purchased an entry into the recent Gold Lotto draw from Campbells News & Casket that you haven't checked yet, you're in with a chance.
'We're urging all lottery players to check their entries as soon as possible. If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact the Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.'
The winning numbers in Saturday's Gold Lotto draw 4571 were 1, 35, 18, 25, 45 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 16.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4571 – three in New South Wales, two in Victoria and one in Queensland.
One of the winners, a dad from Malvern said he couldn't believe he had won the enormous prize.
'I discovered the win on Saturday night. Normally, when I win only $11 or $16, I receive an email about it. But I noticed that I didn't receive an email, and I thought that was strange,' he said.
'Then I went to check the ticket, and I couldn't believe it. I'd won division one!
'It's hard to believe I've won $3.3 million.'

‘All a dream': Tassie man pockets enormous $70m Oz Lotto jackpot win
A Tasmanian man has claimed the $70m Oz Lotto jackpot – the second-largest jackpot prize in the lottery's history. The winning numbers for Tuesday night's draw 1633 were 44, 34, 45, 1, 46, 25, and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 9, 14, and 16. The man purchased the sole winning ticket online, and despite claiming to have checked his Oz Lotteries account more than 15 times since 11pm on Tuesday – and going into work as normal on Wednesday – he had no idea that he had taken home the winning prize. The Tasmanian man told The Lott that he was set to retire soon and purchase a home with his partner. The The Lott team called him on Wednesday morning to confirm his massive win. 'Oh wow. I don't have to come to work anymore, it's -1C here at the moment where I am working,' he told The Lott. 'I might just go and hand my resignation in right now.' The man, the sole Division 1 winner, admitted that he couldn't quite believe the news. 'I have hardly slept all night,' he told them. 'I was wondering if I was dreaming, and I was going to wake up and someone was going to say, it was all just a dream.' The man said he was hoping to spend part of his $70m winnings on a home with his partner after experiencing a 'rough couple of years'. 'Buying a dream home with my partner and helping my family out,' he said. 'Oh, this is brilliant, absolutely brilliant … I've had a (rough) couple of years. 'I am just getting back on my feet and I still have a mortgage when everyone else (my age) is about to retire. 'I have been saying I will have to work until I am 70 but not now' The next major jackpot will take place on Thursday, with a Division 1 Powerball prize of $50m.

OZ Lotto $70m jackpot: Tasmanian winner found, reveals he's planning to resign
The mystery winner of Tuesday night's $70m Oz lotto jackpot has been found, and he's buzzing. The emotional Tasmanian man purchased his ticket through online lottery reseller Oz Lotteries, taking out the entire division one prize pool. The man says he repeatedly tried to log into his account well into the early hours of Wednesday morning. 'I have hardly slept all night. I was wondering if I was dreaming, and I was going to wake up and someone was going to say, it was all just a dream,' he said. Early information from The Lott had suggested the winner was from Victoria. Despite checking his Oz Lotteries account more than 15 times since 11pm Tuesday, he went to work this morning, doubting the win. But the reality soon hit when the Oz Lotteries team called him first thing in the morning to confirm his 18 standard games ticket was the winning Division 1 entry. 'Oh wow. I don't have to come to work anymore, it's -1° here at the moment where I am working. I might just go and hand my resignation in right now,' he said. The windfall means the lucky Tasmanian plans to retire immediately, purchase a home with his partner, and support his family. 'Buying a dream home with my partner and helping my family out. Oh, this is brilliant, absolutely brilliant…I've had a (rough) couple of years,' he said. 'I am just getting back on my feet and I still have a mortgage when everyone else (my age) is about to retire. I have been saying I will have to work until I am 70, but not now.' In division two, 20 winners each took home more than $48,000, and 193 division three winners banked close to $6000. There have already been three Oz Lotto division one wins totalling $185 million this year. A $70 million Oz Lotto jackpot was won by a 15-share syndicate in Queensland, with each taking home a $4.7 million slice. A western Sydney woman made history with a $100 million win in February, the game's most lucrative prize ever. 'Who is this? Why are you calling this late?' the winner told The Lott when contacted after the draw. 'What the hell! Can you repeat that? Oh my god! Don't lie to me!' Just a few weeks later, $15 million was claimed by a North Queensland man.
