Starting this month, the new Audi A6 Avant will be available for purchase, with prices beginning at €58,000 ($62k-ish). Audi anticipates starting deliveries by the end of May 2025, while the sedan version is set to follow in June. The design of the 2025 A6 Avant features a more muscular appearance, anchored by a prominent singleframe grille, accompanied by triangular air vents and modern, sleek LED headlights. This model continues to embrace the classic station wagon aesthetic with an elongated bonnet and a sloping roofline that concludes with a practical hatchback. Audi has also incorporated redesigned LED lights at the rear, complete with a full-width LED lightbar and dual rectangular exhausts, enhancing the visual appeal. One of the standout features of this new model is its aerodynamics. The A6 Avant boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.25, making it the most aerodynamic wagon Audi has ever produced. This achievement underscores Audi's commitment to combining style with efficiency-enhancing engineering. Inside, the A6 Avant doesn't skimp on luxury or technology. The interior showcases a modern triple-screen layout, including an 11.9-inch instrument cluster and a massive 14.9-inch central touchscreen. An optional 10.9-inch screen is also available for the front passenger, ensuring that comfort and connectivity are at the forefront. Under the hood, the A6 Avant offers a variety of engine choices. The entry-level model is equipped with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 201 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. For those seeking more power, a 3.0-liter V6 mild-hybrid option is available, producing 362 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, a 2.0-liter diesel mild-hybrid engine is also on offer for efficiency-focused drivers. Audi is also hinting at more performance-oriented versions in the near future, including the S6 and an RS6 Avant, the latter of which is expected to feature a powerful V6 plug-in hybrid system with an estimated output of around 725 hp. With its blend of advanced technology, refined aesthetics, and a range of powerful yet efficient engines, the 2025 Audi A6 Avant is poised to set new standards in the premium wagon market. Will Audi's New A6 Avant Satisfy Station Wagon Lovers?
The all-new Audi A6 Avant will make its official debut on March 4 as the latest entrant in the automaker's fresh sheetmetal push. And while the automaker has only released a single teaser image of the car thus far, online sleuths located what appears to be early leaked footage with a much better view of the long-roof A6. Here's everything we know so far. The upcoming machine, which was initially expected to arrive as the A7 Avant, retains its familiar nameplate following Audi's recent decision to rework its model nomenclature yet again. The wagon faithful surely won't mind, as the A6 Avant has been a lineup staple since 1994. This latest variant will ride on the brand's Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) platform, which first debuted with last year's B10-generation Audi A5. The platform features the advanced electronics architecture from VW Group's new EVs, and supports both front- and all-wheel-drive configurations. The platform currently utilizes a pair of diesel and gas 2.0-liter four cylinders, as well as a turbocharged V-6 in the new S5. A seven-speed dual-clutch is the sole transmission behind those units. Expect a similar powertrain layout when the A6 Avant arrives. Hybridization could also join the offer sheet, as could a more potent engine for the RS model. Rumors have suggested that the range-topper could lose its V-8 for a V-6 this time around, however. Spy photos also suggest that an Allroad model is also in the works. The teaser image doesn't do a lot to highlight the design updates, but it does hint at the reworked lighting elements. Alleged videos of the car that leaked on YouTube before being taken down, however, show a reworked lighting and grille that give the car a more aggressive look, in line with the B10-gen A5/S5. The wagon still carries an athletic presence through its hips, but the rear end adjustments are a marked improvement. The light bar and dual exhaust setup look properly sporty. Overall it's quite a handsome looking machine, which only makes us hope for U.S. availability even more. Audi will show off the wagon on March 4, with the video livestream expected to take place around 8 a.m. EST. That launch should come with at least some details about the car's powertrain and performance, as well as any hint as to whether it will make its way stateside.
