There are four new models in the range once again, including the main Pixel 10, the Pixel 10 Pro, the Pixel 10 Pro XL and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The look of the smartphones stay true to the previous Pixel design, with some new colours and the return of the original Indigo.
AI is front and centre of Google's focus, with features that can magically gather information for you whenever it's mentioned in a phone call or text message, so you don't have to go searching around for it.
Known as Magic Cue, it digs through apps like Gmail, Calendar and Screenshots to find relevant information instantly without you needing to lift a finger.
For example, should a friend text you asking about when your flight is landing the details will automatically appear to send if you choose to.
Or if another pal asks for photos of your holiday, suggestions will show up.
The details are privately and securely handled on-device by the Google's powerful Tensor G5 chip with your permission, meaning no sensitive information is sent off online.
Magic Cue's capabilities are also utilised in the new Daily Hub, which shows a personalised digest of your day in the discover feed.
Elsewhere, AI is being used to take live translation of phone calls a step further.
The Pixel 10 will not only translate what you and the other person says instantly but it will playback in what sounds like each speaker's voice.

It works when translating to or from English with Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian and Indonesian.
Google has focused on some camera improvements too, providing an eye-watering 100x digital zoom on the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL to go mega close.
AI jumps in once again on all models with a new Camera Coach that suggest ways to improve your photos as you're taking them, such as choosing different framing and composition for a shot.
And Best Take, the group photo tool that combines the perfect facial expressions from a series of shots, is now going automatic, so it will activate when it senses you are taking a group photo.
In another surprising announcement, prices for the Pixel 10 handsets have not increased this year, staying the same as last year's Pixel 9 launch.
These start from £799 / $799 - and can be reduced further if you trade in your old smartphone.
There's also a freebie worth £190 included with all the Pro models.
You get access to Gemini Pro for a whole year, which is Google's more powerful and fast AI system, capable of extra skills such as Veo 3 Fast for text-to-video generation.
Google is also offering seven years of Android and security upgrades once again.
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL go on sale on August 28, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will follow on October 9.

US using AI surveillance tools to target migrants and pro-Palestine protesters, says Amnesty
US AUTHORITIES ARE using AI-powered surveillance tools to target non-US citizens who support Palestine and to aid with its migrant crackdown, according to Amnesty International. Amnesty International has reviewed documentation which shows that AI tools Babel X and Palantir's Immigration OS have automated capabilities that enable constant mass monitoring and surveillance, often for the purpose of targeting non-US citizens. The human rights organisation added that its research shows how these tools are being used by the US government to track migrants and that the tools also 'carry a high risk of being used as part of the 'Catch and Revoke' initiative'. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio launched the AI-powered 'Catch and Revoke' to cancel the visas of foreign nationals who appear to support Hamas or other designated terror groups. The AI-driven 'Catch and Revoke' initiative combines social media monitoring, visa status tracking, and automated threat assessments of foreign individuals on visas, including international students. However, critics warn that Pro-Palestinian sentiments have often been conflated with antisemitism or pro-terrorism, leaving people vulnerable to being caught in an AI-enabled social media net. Erika Guevara-Rosas, Senior Director for Research at Amnesty International, said the 'coercive 'Catch and Revoke' initiative risks supercharging arbitrary and unlawful visa revocations, detentions, deportations and violations of a slew of human rights'. She also said it is 'deeply concerning that the US government is deploying invasive AI-powered technologies within a context of a mass deportation agenda and crackdown on pro-Palestine expression'. Babel X Babel X is provided by Babel Street, which has partnered with 84% of US national security agencies. Babel X can gather sweeping amounts of data from a single identifier, such as a person's name, email, or phone number. Amnesty said that information gathered by Babel X can be used by US authorities to make a decision about revoking an individual's visa. However, it warns that 'probabilistic technologies used to draw inferences about individuals' intent have massive margins for error, can often be discriminatory and biased, and could lead to falsely framing pro-Palestine content as antisemitic'. Advertisement Amnesty said that Babel X has been 'tasked specifically with monitoring refugees and asylum seekers' and warns that it 'risks rendering individuals suspicious by default, and subjecting them to the risk of visa revocation, detention and deportation'. Immigration OS by Palantir In April 2025, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) awarded Palantir a $30 million contract to track 'self-deportations' and identify priority deportation cases, particularly visa overstays. The Immigration OS system serves as an upgrade to a previous Palantir system which had been used by ICE since 2014. Amnesty claimed that the Immigration OS 'automates an already deeply flawed and unaccountable process that has a history of disregarding due process and human rights' . During the first Trump administration, in 2020, Amnesty International wrote to Palantir about its human rights due diligence processes. In response, Palantir said it 'shares your organization's concern with the potential serious human rights violations against migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers at the US–Mexico border'. 'Due diligence' In July, Amnesty contacted Palantir Technologies and Babel Street for comment. Babel Street did not respond, but Palantir Technologies said its product was not used to power the 'Catch and Revoke' effort. However, Palantir said its Immigration OS 'does include work that directly serves' ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations. Amnesty said the 'Trump administration's public intention to engage in mass deportations' meant the companies 'could have reasonably foreseen the risk of harm being seen across the country and reconsidered entering into these contracts'. 'Had Palantir and Babel Street adequately carried out human rights due diligence, these companies could and should have similarly declined to engage in these mass deportation efforts,' said Guevara-Rosas. She called on Palantir and Babel Street to 'conduct and publish the full findings of human rights due diligence processes' . Google launches three Pixel 10 smartphones that go on sale in Ireland next week
Google has today taken the wraps off its 10th generation of phones: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Powered by the all-new Google Tensor G5 chip and the firm's newest Gemini Nano model, they also come with a refreshed design and plenty of hardware updates. Last year, the Irish Mirror rated THE Pixel 9 Pro XL as our favourite smartphone of 2024, so we are super excited to test out the latest and greatest Google handsets in the coming weeks and months. Its successor was announced today too but it won't be available until October along with the Pixel Watch 4. But Irish consumers can buy the rest of the Pixel 10 series smartphones next week. Here's everything you need to know… Pixel 10 series common features The four new phones, new watch and new earbuds announced by Google at the Made By Google event in New York on August 20 (Image: Google) Google's Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL all come with a refined version of the firm's iconic camera bar, a new MagSafe compatible Pixelsnap system that has built in Qi2 wireless charging and are made with the most recycled materials yet on a Pixel. The handsets are powered by Google's Tensor G5 chip that Google said delivers snappy performance while bringing deeply helpful experiences to Pixel users first. And thanks to co-design with Google DeepMind, the newest Gemini Nano model will run first on Tensor G5 to unlock many on-device generative AI experiences. One of the new AI tools is called Magic Cue, which works across a range of apps such as Google Messages and the Phone app to proactively offer the right information at the right time. The demos I viewed showed Magic Cue offer relevant info and helpful actions that should save users time and effort. For instance, when you're calling an airline, Magic Cue can automatically find your flight details from your email and display it during the phone call. It can provide an address for dinner or find the right photos to share with a friend, all without leaving your chat. Tensor G5 and the latest version of Gemini Nano will work together to run Magic Cue privately and securely on your phone (you must authorise this new feature, incidentally). Other new AI features include a helpful Camera Coach and AI-powered Pro Res Zoom. The Pixel 10 series phones will be the first to feature the company's new Material 3 Expressive user interface that Google promises will bring more personalisation and fluidity to the phones thanks to springier animations and smoother interactions — all sitting atop Google's latest Android 16 operating system. The company promises seven years of Pixel Drops, as well as seven years of Android OS and security updates. Pixel 10 key features The eye-catching Indigo coloured Pixel 10 that goes on sale on August 28 (Image: Google) The shiny new Pixel 10 features a satin-finish metal frame, polished glass back and the iconic camera bar. There are four colour options: Obsidian, Frost, Lemongrass and, my favourite, Indigo. The 6.3in Actua display boasts 3,000 nits of peak brightness and the firm promises more immersive experiences due to improved audio, including enhanced bass. Pixel 10 comes with camera improvements, such as the first 5x telephoto lens on this tier of Pixel with fast autofocus, 10x optical quality and up to 20x zoom with Super Res Zoom. Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro key features The stylish and elegant Porcelain coloured Google Pixel 10 Pro (Image: Google) The only difference between the two Pixel 10 Pro models out next week is the size. Pixel 10 Pro is 6.3in and Pixel 10 Pro XL is 6.8in. Again, there are four colour options, but here you get Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone and Jade. The Pro models offer a more powerful Pro Res Zoom that can reach up to 100x zoom. The firm said the Pro models also offer larger batteries, upgraded speakers, 16GB of RAM and faster wired charging, while Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging. Pricing and availability Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are all available for preorder now, starting at €919, €1,119 and €1,329.
