Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chair David Hogg
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chair David Hogg has expressed strong support for Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), praising her as an exemplary leader for the Democratic Party.
During 'The Breakfast Club' radio show, Hogg said, "I love her. She is amazing," while discussing the Dallas congresswoman.
"I think that people want to see somebody who fights and calls out the bulls–t ultimately," he explained to host Charlamagne Tha God. "I think that's what Jasmine does."
Hogg, who currently serves as DNC vice chair, emphasised Crockett's authenticity, stating, "I think Jasmine is, frankly, the type of leader that we're really looking to support in some senses, right? Somebody who is out there that frankly doesn't give a damn what the other side — at least the elected Republicans in Congress — say."
Crockett, 44, has been notably critical of President Trump following his 2024 election victory, labelling him a "dictator" and "enemy to the United States." In March, she expressed uncertainty about future elections in 2028 and made controversial comparisons between Trump and deported alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
The congresswoman has sparked controversy with various statements, including comments about Hispanic Trump supporters in a December Vanity Fair interview and remarks about Texas Governor Greg Abbott's wheelchair use.

She recently faced criticism for allegedly bypassing airport queues, including wheelchair users, at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Hogg's endorsement comes amid declining Democratic leadership approval ratings, which reached 25% last month according to Gallup. The 25-year-old vice chair, who survived the February 2018 Parkland school shooting, faces potential removal from his position, with a DNC vote scheduled for June.

Trump biographer's bombshell claim on why US President hates Harvard: 'He didn't get...'

Amid Donald Trump's ongoing push to limit international student enrollment at Harvard University, biographer Michael Wolff has suggested that the former president's long-standing resentment toward elite universities may stem from a personal grudge. Appearing on The Daily Beast podcast, Wolff, who has authored four books about Trump's time in the White House, referenced the popular theory that Trump is targeting top-tier institutions because they did not accept his son Barron. However, Wolff claimed the animosity might go back even further, alleging that Trump himself was unable to get into Harvard. 'It's important not to lend too much calculation and planning to anything he does. But the other thing is that, by the way, he didn't get into Harvard. So one of the Trump things is always holding a grudge against the Ivy League,' Wolff said. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers dismissed the claim, stating Trump did not 'need to apply' to Harvard to achieve success. 'The President didn't need to apply to an overrated, corrupt institution like Harvard to become a successful businessman and the most transformative President in history,' she wrote in an email to The Daily Beast. But is the claim true? While there are no publicly available records proving Trump applied to Harvard in the 1960s, it's known he initially hoped to attend the University of Southern California, which recently lost $17.5 million after Trump pulled the grants from federal research funding. He eventually enrolled at Fordham University in 1964, which, according to his sister Maryanne Trump Barry, was because "that's where he got in. Barry, who passed away in 2023, said so in Gwenda Blair's book "The Trumps: Three Generations of Builders and a Presidential Candidate." A 2024 book titled Lucky Loser revealed that Trump's grades at Fordham were average but "sufficient" to meet the transfer requirements of Wharton at the time, long before it became the prestigious business school it's known as today. In 2016, Trump's then-attorney, Michael Cohen, wrote to Fordham University to prevent the release of Trump's academic records during his campaign. Interestingly, Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, was accepted to Harvard not long after his father, New Jersey real estate mogul Charles Kushner, made a $2.5 million donation to the university. First time in 2 decades, EC holds revision of voters' list for bypolls

For the first time in nearly two decades, the Election Commission revised the voters' list of five constituencies for holding assembly bypolls there in a bid to ensure a "spotless" electoral roll. The last time a special summary revision took place for a bypoll was in 2006 in Tamil Nadu, officials pointed out. Citing provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, officials said the electoral roll is to be revised before every election and bypoll unless otherwise directed by the EC. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play War Thunder now for free War Thunder Play Now If the electoral roll is not revised, the validity or continued operation of the said electoral roll shall not be affected, they said, quoting the law. The validity of the current electoral roll continues till the completion of the special revision. Live Events Officials underlined that it is for the commission to decide if revision of electoral rolls has to be conducted or not, depending on the requirement. Bypolls to five assembly seats in four states will be held on June 19, the poll authority announced last month. While two assembly bypolls will be held in Gujarat, one each will take place in Kerala, West Bengal and Punjab. The counting of votes will take place on June 23. In Gujarat, the bypoll to the Kadi seat was necessitated following the death of sitting MLA Karsanbhai Punjabhai Solanki. Another bypoll to the Visavadar seat in the state is taking place due to the resignation of sitting member Bhayani Bhupendrabhai Gandubhai. In Kerala, the Nilambur seat will go to a bypoll since P V Anvar has resigned, while a bypoll will be held in Punjab's Ludhiana seat due to the death of sitting member Gurpreet Bassi Gogi. A by-election to the Kaliganj Assembly seat in West Bengal has been necessitated due to the death of sitting assembly member Nasiruddin Ahamed. Special Summary Revision is the legal term for revision of electoral rolls to weed out voters who have left the constituency or have died, and to add new names.
