GTA Online 'Money Fronts' update adds laundering front and new vehicles

American video game publisher Rockstar Games has released the 'Money Fronts' update for Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online. The update, live from Tuesday, centres around a new money laundering operation based out of the Hands On Car Wash. Rockstar describes the setup as 'low-profile but cash-intensive', offering players a chance to clean their dirty money. The update also brings new vehicles and gameplay enhancements.
What's new in GTA Online 'Money Fronts' update
At the core of the update is the laundering front at Hands On Car Wash. With support from character Martin Madrazo, players can connect with new advisors who assist in managing operations, unlocking additional fronts and expanding their laundering empire.
According to Rockstar, the car wash functions not just as a front—it also generates passive income. Owning the operation unlocks access to businesses like Smoke on the Water dispensary and Higgins Helitours. These properties boost returns from the player's Weed Farm and Air Freight Cargo operations.
Illegal activities tied to these businesses will generate Heat, attracting attention from authorities. Players must lower their profile by managing day-to-day operations and posing as legitimate business owners to keep the income stream intact.
A new set of missions titled Mr. Faber Work has also been introduced. These jobs are tailored for players looking for high-risk, high-reward gameplay, such as recovering stolen cargo or escorting high-value goods. Missions can be launched from the laundering front or via in-game contact Raf. However, they also increase Heat, making it essential to balance them with legal activities.
Overflod Suzume
Karin Everon RS
Karin Woodlander SUVs
Dewbauchee Rapid GT X
Annis Hardy

The update brings several quality-of-life improvements:
Missile Lock-On Jammer now supports 50 additional vehicles
Option to skip specific cutscenes during mission replays
Double Arena Points earnings
Increased delay for global signals during public Sell Missions
Boxville van removed from Biker Sell Missions
Subscribers to GTA Plus will receive early access to the Overflod Suzume supercar, a second daily spin at the Lucky Wheel in The Diamond Casino and Resort, and additional member benefits.

JD Vance warns Musk against forming third party, advises him to stay ‘loyal' to Trump, ‘If he had disagreements…'

Vice President JD Vance warned Elon Musk against forming a third political party, saying he will be able to wield more influence by staying "loyal" to the Republican Party and President Donald Trump's MAGA movement. Vance made the remarks in an interview on The Ingraham Angle. Try to push it in your own way. Disagree with me all you want, disagree with the president of the United States, but don't pretend that you can make a big difference with a third party," Vance said Wednesday, August 20. Surprising details revealed "I think Elon would make a much bigger difference if he stayed loyal to President Trump's Republican Party, and if he had disagreements, express those disagreements from the inside as opposed from the outside,' he added. 'It would be a huge mistake for Elon to go forward with a third party' Vance's comments came after reports claimed Musk is pausing his plans to start the America Party to focus on his companies. According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk's allies said he has not officially ruled out creating the new party, and might as well change his mind later. "I do think that it would be a huge mistake for Elon to go forward with a third party, and my argument to him is whether you like it or not, you are now perceived by the far left as on the side of the American right," Vance told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. The idea that Elon is ever going to go back to being sort of in the middle, where Democrats and Republicans both like him, that's just not going to happen. He is perceived as being on the American right." Musk's America PAC spent about $300 million during the 2024 election to support Trump and other Republican candidates, per Reuters. However, the Tesla Boss split with the US President earlier this year over their different stances on the "big, beautiful bill."

Future of transport would be built on electric vehicles, biofuels and hydrogen: Nitin Gadkari

Amid the clutter and confusion around the E20 fuel and its impact on vehicles, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has said that hydrogen is the fuel of the future. He said that hydrogen will replace fossil fuels. The minister also said that hydrogen, biofuels and electric vehicles would be the future of transport and industry. PTI has quoted Gadkari saying that hydrogen would not only be critical for transport but also find applications in other industries. "Trains will run on it, airplanes will fly on it, and dependence on fossil fuels will end," he reportedly said. Highlighting India's rise in the global automobile market, the minister said the country recently moved up from the seventh to the third position, overtaking Japan. "The American automobile industry is worth ₹78 lakh crore, China's ₹49 lakh crore and India's ₹22 lakh crore. A few days ago, the global chairman of Mercedes told me they will manufacture electric Mercedes cars in India," he added. He said the future of transport and industry would be built on electric vehicles, biofuels and hydrogen. "If these are adopted on a wide scale, we will steadily move toward carbon neutrality. This will create jobs, protect the environment and accelerate development," Gadkari said. Speaking about the hydrogen fuel, the minister said that India can match oil-producing nations with cheap hydrogen. He said that India can transform from being an energy importer to a global exporter if it can cut the cost of hydrogen production to one dollar per kilogramme. Hydrogen costs about $5-6 per kg, making it expensive compared to conventional fuels. "If we succeed in bringing it down to USD 1 per kg, India will be in a position similar to today's oil-producing countries," Gadkari said while stressing that hydrogen would play a decisive role in shaping the energy future. The minister also said the biggest hurdle lies in setting up hydrogen filling stations and developing systems to transport the fuel. "These areas need urgent and extensive work," he said.
